  • Jeep Compass as successor for my Audi Q5

Hello dear Jeep friends, I (had) an Audi Q5 from 2008, in which I absolutely wanted to crack the 300,000 km, unfortunately I had now, only 10,000 km before my destination, a traffic accident which ended with a total damage for my Q5. I am just in my “finding phase” and look for possible successors, I actually always liked the models of Jeep, but also Land Rover. The Jeep Wrangler is my absolute dream, but I think this is there n I came across the Jeep Compass and the Land Rover Range Evoque at my benchmark values (about 18.000 €, mileage up to 125,000 km, motorization secondary) on Mobile. I wanted to open up an identical topic here, in order to separate both for myself. But now to my actual questions: If the Jeep Compass is a good reliable vehicle and can therefore also be used for free workshops and possibly even the engine oil change itself o This is important to me, because I liked it so much about my Q5. My annual driving performance is about 22,000 km, mostly (cozy) motorway, which is why driving comfort is important to me. Thank you very much for a few infos and tips to help me with my search phase.

  • Purchase advice Diesel vs V6

Hello community, need your help. We are planning to buy the new Cherokee. Driving profile is almost 100% city traffic, easy distance about 13 km, sometimes over a federal road for about 15 km. One reads more and more that exactly that a profile, what kills the DPF almost immediately. As an alternative to the 2.2 liter diesel would then be only the Pentastar who consumes a little more in the city, I calculate with the 15 liters. At the dealer is quasi no price advantage for the gasoline manufacturer de The diesel as Nighthawk as well as the V6 stand there for 38000. For your expert opinion and suggestions already many thanks. Greetings Tom

  • Grand Cherokee WK2 as successor for BMW F11 520D?

Hello to the round, I’m currently looking for a successor for my aged F11 520D. I’m hit on the Grand Cherokee for me are models from 2018 with the 3.0 Diesel. My 5s has run its kilometers robust and without any significant problems, is the GC experience also a robust and mature car, which makes little problems? I consider myself a private pleasure 55 kilos heavy four-legged, has someone experience with larger dogs in the coffee my driving style is very relaxed, in my profile it is about 75% country 10% city and 15% highway. On the highway I am rarely faster than 130 on the way, I think then I get along very well with the 3.0 diesel? Does someone live of you in snowy areas and can say something to drive in winter? I belong with my 1.94m rather to the larger of our kind, I guess here I will have no problems in the GC, right? At this point already many thanks, if you eu you took the time to read all this!

  • Kaufberatung Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD up to 30,000 Euro

Hello, I would like to buy a Cherokee, I have already looked at one in a car dealership and have not made a test drive yet. For me it was important, 6 cylinders diesel with good range, because I drive a lot of highway, sometimes also borders across. It should definitely have proper range. According to fuel monitor, the Cherokee with 93 liters diesel creates more than 1200 km. Is that real, can you confirm that? – I think that goes into the It’s probably 1200 km long. I usually drive with a low speed, not faster than 120 because of speed limits. From the outside, the cherokee made a very good impression, it was high, big wheels, lots of space, really a ride. Is the car reliable? – I don’t want to drive a BMW or VW Touareg anymore, because I have to fight constantly with the cars with repairs, especially the car. i bmw I had invested several thousand euros every half year, that’s just too stupid for me, so I change now. My driving profile is more of a highway. I often travel with the family on holiday (several times a year) and then need a big car to take luggage with me and a good all-bike for mountains…. possibly standing heating.

  • Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara

Hello, I have read a lot about the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara diesel version of test reports, all in all very positive, so a thoroughly good impression. I ask you for your impressions, especially your experiences about driving and parking in the city. How handy is it, I have to use it as a family and everyday car. I am perfectly clear that my current car, an MB 200 C combi is a more reasonable car, but who wants to be reasonable? I would I like to give the car as a black edition for the 50th birthday of this year 2013. I find it absolutely great of the optics and as I said, almost all test reports speak for the car. I would like to ask those of you who drive the jeep also daily and in the city. Should I continue to drive the C class MB or should I dare it ? Carpe diem, one lives after all only once. Thank you, Uwe-Jens

  • Engine damage after 50,000km Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hello everyone, I have the following problem: About 4 weeks ago I was on my Jeep Grand Cherokee (first registration 11/2015) on the highway towards vacation. Suddenly he started to give funny noises of himself. After the noises became louder, I drove off the highway. Now I was also told by a signal that the oil level was low. When looking into the rear-view mirror I saw that I had lost oil. Just came down the exit and the engine I was informed last week that it was a motor damage. When the engine was defective he had 51,700 km My jeep has all the necessary services behind him. In Nov. I have completed a warranty extension, which says that after 50,000 km I have to carry 10% of the repair costs myself. This would be 1,700 euros which I would have to pay out of my pocket. I have now submitted a certificate request to Jeep. The lady on the phone said, however, d that this is not possible because “from above” such requests are rejected (generally). What do you think about the whole thing? How Kulant is Jeep in such things? Does anyone have experience/tips? Thank you very much

  • Will there be no more Jeep Cherokee?

Today I asked a Jeep dealer about the new Compass. Nice vehicle. At the same time I asked if there will be a version of the Cherokee in the foreseeable future (just the interior => Cockpit – has that in my opinion urgently necessary). The answer surprised me very much. The Cherokee is no longer available. It is not clear if there will be a successor at all. Does anyone know more about this? Which vehicle should this segment then be at Jeep I find it daring to delete the Cherokee. I also noticed that there were disputes about the name.

  • New Jeep Compass (qualitative) really so bad?

I am currently still looking for an alternative to the Volvo XC40 or XC60. Now I have come across the new Jeep Compass, which I also like very much (from the outside). Inside it does not get to the Volvo, at least not according to my aesthetic feeling. But good, ugly he is not and he is a Jeep, but that’s what I think is cool. But what has deterred me very much in my research today is the verdict of the ADAC, which says quite clearly what about the driving However, they don’t really explain how they come to this conclusion. Of course, the issue of poor processing quality makes me listen. What’s worse than with the competitors? Here’s the link to the ADAC: https://www.adac.de/…/detail.aspx?IDTest=5694 Maybe someone has the comparison to other manufacturers or maybe someone has experience with the brand Jeep and its quality. Has this been achieved by the acquisition of FI AT worsened?
