  • Navi Update

Hello. Does anyone know the specific differences of the Navi Software/Hardware ? The vehicle has the “Standard Gen2” variant. Software 1.4.0 The said vehicle is from MY16. For MY17 there is the version “Compact Gen5” The device itself has the same size. Can you upgrade the whole with Kia from Gen2 to Gen5-Compact ? Or is a “new” device needed for this ? . Does the radar warning function via POIs (WLAN – Hotspot: an) Only with the Gen5 variant, or must be any as to be added ? Thank you, Nice start in the week

  • Proceed with glass roof: crackling after a few kilometres to Frostnacht

Hello, I noticed the following for the first time today: during the night we had minus temperatures and the car was frozen. After driving about 30 km to work (motorway), I took a kind of crackling from the glass roof as soon as you drove over uneven places on the road. Hard to describe, but a crackling comes to the noise closest – it is no flap or similar. At the beginning of the journey the noise was not there, only after the 30 km, when the car partly thawed. D The roof was partly covered with frost when I parked the car in the underground garage. Let’s see if the noise is gone when the car is frost-free again and I’m going home tonight. Did anyone experience something like that?

  • Kia Proceed Gt 2021 model seat comfort function.

Hello to everyone. To my question believe that my seat comfort function spins my wife seat often back as we have recently become parents and she means that the driver’s seat when I get off is going to go back and stay standing. So my wife is sure that the seat but before the closing of the door has come forward again I honestly did not pay attention since I was already getting off is just really bad because the seat already takes so bit the legroom. Thank you so much to all who take the time to help me thanks people. Greetings Agi.

  • KIA Ceed CD – Spirit Joins?! ^^

Hello, let’s ask you a question: Does someone sit on the middle seat with you ALWAYS when you’re off? See picture in the appendix. Was already at the dealer’s (but only because I had to go there anyway because of something else) and he kept the car there and partially removed the seat to exchange or check a defective switch or something. In the end he came to the conclusion that it is the standard way and the demonstration vehicle from the dealer indicates that exactly as well. h personal no sense at all — at the start of the engine, all 3 seats on the bottom left glow red with the sign for not strapped up for control. Then the two displays go out to the left and right and indicate correctly that no one is sitting there, but the symbol in the middle remains so… I’m curious if it really is displayed like this with you. Greeting Stefan

  • What is good for the Ceed-Platform and its technology?

Hello, in the family a new car is on the plan and great favorite is the Xceed. Hautpgrund: Slightly elevated sitting position but not too much SUV-ig, roof railing, top motorization without forced sports model and the optics. In addition, of course, unbelievably much equipment and the 7 year warranty. The car is used on the one hand for commutes, on the other hand also for holiday trips, 20kkm per year come together. The main question, which is what one now from this Car can expect: No one had a Kia so far. The car offers an incredible amount of equipment, which you can not even find in the German premium vehicles: seat ventilation, seat heating at the rear, traffic sign recognition, electric tailgate, and much more. Kia offers 7 years warranty so they seem to be pretty sure that the whole technology keeps orderly but the question is whether all the stuff is good or just installed to look attractive to the car. assen. I hope you understand what I’m getting at. A traffic sign recognition that only works with every second sign or a seat heating that takes even at the highest level 5 minutes until the popo is warm, are just exactly those things that I think would be installed then inferior technology. My mother currently drives an old Q3, which does not have much equipment but what he has worked just as expected.

  • Deficiency of the brake power amplifier

Hello I have a Ceed 1.4l Built 2007 Is there any information about the failure of the brake power amplifier? Today it happened for the second time that I had no brake power support and I had to bring the vehicle with the hand brake to a standstill. The first time it happened some time ago. It was double-digit minus degrees. I didn’t think about it at first. At the temperatures it can happen. Who knows what was there. Today we have 10 degrees plus and it happened again. After about 70 meters I had to stop on the road before driving in. I wanted to brake and nothing happened. The brake pedal was “stone hard” . Even when I stepped on it more strongly the car did not brake. I had to make it stand with the hand brake. Since I wanted to clear the driveway I then, a few seconds later, drove a piece to the side. Then suddenly the brake worked again. Brake pedal was “soft” again and the vehicle braked again. Has anyone ever experienced such a thing and has a repair been done?

  • Kia Pro Ceed 1.6 CVVT Tuning – need help!

Hi guys, I’m only here today in the forum and wanted to get started right away. I want to buy a new Pro Ceed 1.6 CVVT (since the 2.0 petrol engine was unfortunately set ) and wanted to ask how I can bring the 1.6er to more power. I had not thought about a chip because I am not very convinced of this and it should not be good for the engine. I had rather thought about a turbocharger or something like that… What I think about is also a gebr 2,0l Pro Ceed engine to buy, to fry and then install, so that I have the new 1.6 engine still unbasked. Can someone help me? Does anyone have experience with the engines? Thank you Alex. PS: I once worked on a picture at Paint.NET how I want to make it easier for me…

  • Vehicle handover to the dealer

Hello, today I received my new Ceed from the dealer and wanted to know if your vehicle transfers also expired as follows: The Navi led me to the next gas station and fortunately I had downloaded mi Bord- und Navihandbuch before from Kia and knew at least about basic functions. Greetings

  • Kia Ceed 1.6l CRDI Chip Tuning

Hello guys, I drive a Kia Ceed 1.6l Crdi with 115hp. The car is BJ 2011 and therefore still has 5.5 years warranty. Would you like to install a chip tuning module like e.g. http://www.ebay.de/…/140914958708?… My question is, if I have a problem with my car and want to handle this via the Kia warranty, can the workshop then find out via a diagnostic device if I have done a chip tuning on the car? If I have a problem then I will of course remove the module bev or the car goes to the workshop. Thank you in advance.

  • KIA Cee’d 2012 or rather Seat Leon 5F

Dear Forengemeide! I stand before the purchase decision and compare the KIA Ceed 1.6 CRDi Spirit with the Seat Leon 1.4 TSI 140 PS FR. Of course, as always the best decision is to test the two cars and decide out of the stomach, but reason has a small word to say. Therefore I would like to know what for or against the Seat/KIA speaks. At KIA the CRDi diesel engines seem to be more worthwhile (insurance almost hardly expensive) and at Seat are My criteria for comparison would be the following:- Maintenance costs (without workshop) – Workshop costs – Consumption – Value loss – Quality of workmanship – Engine/acceleration – “driving fun” – good fixed installation My personal points that speak for the KIA Ceed: + many assistance systems that do not exist in Leon (return camera, keyless entry, electronic parking brake, ect.) + larger Navidisplay + 7 years warranty + more economical CRDi My personal points that speak for the Seat Leon: + LED headlights + more sporty driving possible + (if I should opt for automatic, then of course) DSG + lower inspection costs/maintenance + exterior design Would be happy to hear from you. You can use my above criteria and would be very helpful. LG arwelo
