  • A few questions about the new Ceed CD

I will probably sign my purchase contract for the Ceed CD (gold equipment) in the colour Blue Flame in the next few days and now I have a few questions 🙂

  • Leather repair seat belt remove underbody Spreitzniet

Hello, first of all I have a damaged seat, someone has already repaired it himself, if so what means has he used, how agreed was one with the result. Second thing: I may have to solve the underbody. if I pull out the pen they can be completely removed. Are these reusable? or Which size and kind would that be?

  • Battery Power consumption

Hello together, I would be interested in the power consumption of the Kia Ceed SW Phev times. I charge mine on a wallbox and unfortunately have no extra counter. If the battery is on 0km (20%) and is charged, how much kWh does it pull then? Oh and by the way a small question. Mine is now 7 days old and has already a small stone blow on the bonnet (photo) . How would you treat it?

  • XCeed – Wheels in 8.5J width and ET40

Hello, someone drives on their XCeed rims in size 8.5Jx18 ET40 with the tire size 235/45R18? Alternatively also in 17, 19 or 20 inch, the most important is the width with 8.5J and ET40. Is there a lot of effort in the rim width to get enough wheel cover on the front and/or rear axle?

  • Navi Update

Hello together, I’m new here and we’re considering buying a Ceed SW or an XCeed for next year. Our thoughts also go towards EU reimport. Since the map update is not included in these vehicles, here are my questions: – what might be a map update – it’s a TomTom, can you do it yourself? I thank you for your answers and I’m also happy about vehicle reports ?? [translated from engine talk from the topic ‘Naviupdate’.]

  • Learning RDKS ?

Hello together, I own a KIA PRO CEED GT Bj. 2019. If I understand this correctly, the car has a passive RDKS system (the sensors are installed in the ABS system). Does this system also have to be learned if I get new rims with tires in the exact size? Thank you for your answers. Best regards

  • Tacho Accuracy

Hello, I noticed today that the speed indicated by the vehicle is basically exact the GPS speed. I just wanted to see how far the speedometer is moving forward, but then the first measurement result coincided with the speedometer. We then installed several apps on my girlfriend’s smartphone and always the same result. An app even showed decimal places and showed a deviation of 0.4 km/h. The speedometer therefore goes minimal Can it be that a tacho is so precise? Is that so with you? By the way, the measuring window was between 20 and 130 km/h.

  • Right headlamp must be replaced according to ATU for about 2000€

It is the car of an acquaintance. Your Ceed has to be by the TÜV and the right headlight causes problems – especially the daytime driving light. Here is a photo, on which you can see that the LED light strip on the right side is less bright than on the other side. Everything else seems to work wonderfully. At first it was said that only the daytime driving light had to be replaced. However, the employee of ATU then informed her that he held consultation with KIA I’m looking online for headlights for KBA No. 1260 (2.1) ACV (2.2) starts the list at 150€ and there are many spare parts up to 350€ but also some that are even more expensive. I wonder, however, how ATU could demand 2000€ here, that’s not in any proportion for me – especially because that means almost an economic total damage for them. I wonder, however, how ATU could demand 2000€. Also, why the LED strip cannot be replaced separately (this was first suggested to her, but does not work now). These would be cheaper again. I am confused myself, because as spare parts both the round illuminants and the LED strip are displayed – what of it is actually the daytime driving light? I recommended her to visit a free workshop and get advice there. A guarantee has the car na ch 8 years no longer (it would have been 7) and an employee of KIA (I think of a workshop) wanted money to make an effort at all to regulate the bulwark. It must also be mentioned that the car was involved in an accident (not caused by itself) a few months ago after, among other things, the left headlight was replaced. At that time, the right was certified by an expert report to be fully functional.

  • How to detect whether already 48V-Mildhybrid or still “old” model

Hello, I ordered my ProCeed with the 136hp diesel engine in January 2020, as my previous leasing contract expires in September. If someone now asks themselves “Why so early?” I have already experienced bad surprises with the delivery times at other manufacturers. Looking back it was probably also right this time because of the Corona chaos. The vehicle was produced in June 2020 and is already standing at my dealer. Now the diesel engineization was changed at the end of April. The 48V-Mildhybrid-Technik. Now the interesting question arises for me, whether my car has already been produced as a Mildhybrid or not. How do I then recognize when I take over the vehicle, whether it is a Mildhybrid or not? Is there a hint in the papers or somewhere a “48V” print in the vehicle (please don’t laugh)? Ohso, just for a moment to clarify: I am aware that I have no claim to the Mildhybrid-Version. eug ordered, this variant did not exist yet, especially since the vehicles have become even more expensive by the Mildhybrid technology. Is just an interesting question, what happens when the technology changes after ordering but before production. Best regards

  • Apple Carplay or Android Car?

Since I have ordered my Proceed now and there is also a mobile phone change, I wonder what would be better in combination with inductive charging and linking to the Proceed. Apple Carplay looks better, but the mobile phones are also overpriced. Android car unfortunately I have no experience. Can you help a little further and maybe share experiences? Thank you
