The ceed sw looks interesting and comes in the closer selection. Lt. local dealer is every 15,000 kilometers a service necessary. Argument: In the pre-alpine country wg. snow, salt, snow … according to Kia an earlier service is necessary. In addition, one would have to service each year. How much can a service cost per service interval so; are 300 euro i.o. or already horrendous, f. some splash water refilling, overpriced longllife oil, brake controls? With another brand I pay per year a The service starts well, at the dealer and Kia. On special warranty questions you will not get any answers if the engine and gearbox are defective. Whether you get replacement there is completely unclear up to the present date.

First inspection too late?
Hello. I’ve already been rumshauerting a little bit but not really found something to my concern. I bought my Ceed last year at the end of August. The EZ was 5/12 and it had 12km down. The first inspection is due after 20,000km or at the latest one year. Exemplary as I am I have already had the inspection done. So from my point of view 2 weeks earlier. Now my Kia workshop tells me that I can say goodbye to my guarantee, because the inspection is a good thing. hon should have been carried out in May. For most of us this might be logical, but I had absolutely no idea. I was also not told! Is my guarantee really over now or are there still ways to bathe the nonsense again? Thank you in advance.. Greetings

New KIA Ceed SW 1.4 Dream Team does not start at idle + door opening
Hello, I’ve been a proud owner of a KIA CEED SW 1.4 Dream Team Edition 7 for 2 weeks. I’ve already driven a CEED SW 1.6 from 2007. I’ve had 1 little problem and 2 more annoying problems with the car so far. The first problem is that there is quite water in the front of the day running light since I was in the Waschanlange, but it will soon be replaced by Kia, so rather kein problem again. Now the two problems I find very funny and charred from the workshop f The doors are locked automatically during the ride. With my old Ceed, the doors were automatically unlocked as soon as I pulled the key out of the ignition lock. It doesn’t work anymore. I come out of the vehicle, but I can’t get my children out of the back of the car until I press the “on-button” from the key. That’s the same with the trunk. But what is it in the event of an accident when the doors were not unlocked? How do we get the rescuers out of the vehicle ???? I really hate to drive the car at the moment, because I’m really afraid that in the event of an accident it could be unnecessary time. Then I noticed that the car only starts when I kick the clutch at the start. Trying to start in idle is not even a sound. Di e Lights at the speedometer simply all go out at the ignition and also the radio ect. and it is simply still dead. There wants to say with the workshop heini also that this is normal. I have to say, we have NO start-stop-automatics or something. He also wants to make me know that we have this, but we definitely have NOT! Would be happy if you can tell me about your experiences and also about workshop recommendations in the area south Schleswig-Holstein/Hamburg would i Thank you to all who have lasted until the end 🙂

Kia Ceed Long-term quality
Hello Kia driver, slowly my Astra comes into the years and replacement has to come. My dealer also runs Kia and a test drive with the new Ceed 1.6 CRDI SW took place already. The thing convinced me, also qualitative. Unfortunately, the nothing says about the long-term quality and a car that starts to clap after 50Tkm, knarzen etc is a greul to me. So, how does it look at the Ceed, has one still after years its calm? Or is the Venga an example, which in the continuous test technically shines but after 20Tkm already started to scrape on the dashboard ? Ask for reports of many years of KIA driver. Thanks and mfG

Motor damage again
Good evening! My sister-in-law (unfortunately), bought a Kia Ceed on my advice. Almost full equipment, 1.6 CVVT with 4 gear automatic, year 2007. Two weeks ago the car suddenly did not jump any more, and in the workshop we were told: engine damage. Supposedly timing belts slipped, what exactly was not told us so far. After we hit 2 !! weeks on an answer for warranty have waited the shock: No, guarantee is not, a few years ago was 1x the service in Tsch The car is not registered for 7 years yet, but already older than 7 years!!! Because there is such a big use when standing around… I am now working on the matter with a lawyer, but he said that we are pulling the shorter one. At the moment I am looking for a new engine, and now my question: Can I install a diesel instead of the 1.6 CVVT petrol engine?! They last longer?! Otherwise we have been relatively satisfied, but this is now It’s really a shock. Does a diesel also fit the 4Gang automatic transmission? I have someone who installs the engine for me, but I should get the engine.. How about the units then? They probably won’t fit the diesel from the petrol engine?! Petrol engine unfortunately I didn’t find a suitable one on eb** or Willhab**.. I’m really desperate… Thanks… Kia!!

Expensive inspection – Where is the logic at the intervals?
Hello, I was at the first inspection today with speedometer stand 15,000, I paid 360 euros. The reason was in my opinion high amount, with the inspection intervals for my model. These foresee an inspection at 30,000 km or once a year. It can not be that the KIA then exchanges parts in the 3rd year, at only 45,000 km, although these are not worn out yet and with more intensive use otherwise only at 90,000. For this I have to be as customer every time The fact that the annual inspection is not necessary from a technical point of view, proves the fact that Kia only requires an inspection for new models for 2 years. How high is the cost of a 60,000 inspection? In addition, I am looking for a cheaper workshop in the vicinity of Frankfurt/mainal’s main car dealership in Raunheim. Thank you!

Engine damage Ceed
Hello all, can a defective Simmering lead to a complete oil loss within a short time during a motorway ride and then directly to the engine damage? It all happened within 10-15 seconds. Tempo I drove reduced to 80 and then on the stand strip and then was already at work. Whether the oil lamp turned on and when, I can’t say at all. I was more distracted by highway and engine noises. I should mention that in the car a week before the e control chain and something on the piston was changed to guarantee (because “auto went out in idle mode”. After that the inspection was carried out. I have no idea.. but there should be cases… even if I could logically imagine that there is a causal connection here Can KIA turn out something that one would be to blame because there is an oil warning lamp and therefore refuse guarantee? Greetings

Ceed SW 1.6 GDI Dream Team – need more input
Hello forum, for a few months I am looking for a new car for me (drive for 5 years Golf V 1.4/75hp). It is definitely to become a gasoline and a combi. Besides, it is important to me a good equipment (seat heating, climatronic, leather electric wheel with buttons, hands-free device, middle armrest, etc.). And economical the car should be of course also… In the narrow selection have now entered two vehicles: 1) Skoda Octavia 1.2TSI – Best Of 2) Ceed SW 1.6 GDI Dream-Team And now the questions about the Ceed. 1) The Octavia 1.2TSI consumes 5.7l/100km according to paper, but realistic are 6.3-6.7l/100km with a “normal” way of driving. What about the Ceed SW 1.6 GDI. On the paper there are 6.5l/100km. On the fuel monitor there are only a few informations about the Ceed 1.6 GDI and what it says doesn’t seem to me to be really normal… about 8l/100km… I don’t really want to believe that. What do you say about this topic? i 1.6 GDI? (I was quite optimistic about this: the consumption sample on the example) 2) Inspections at the Ceed SW are necessary every 2 years or 30,000km. How is the price frame of these inspections. Do I have to reckon with more expensive inspection prices than with the Skoda Octavia? 3) Timing belt changes? Is there a timing belt at the GDI? When should it be changed? Does this possibly guarantee if within the first 7 years? I am happy about your answers and hope to make my decision better. Thank you in advance! Evgeni T.

Kia Ceed SW 1.4 109PS??
Hello dear Motor-Talkler, I need your help. And I would like to buy a Kia Ceed SW, namely the 2010 Facelift model. Normally there is the petroler once as 1.4 with 90hp and as 1.6 with 125hp. Now 90 are almost too little and 125er are in the area at present in short supply. Now stands with a dealer with 1.4, 109hp, which I would really like from price and equipment. But it can be that this motorization at Facelift Is this possibly a residual stock that has still been installed in a few facelift models or where does it come from? Does anyone have experience with this motorization? So I don’t need an athlete, but he should come from the spot without the engine having to struggle all the time. Sure, during the test drive I will probably notice if it fits or not, but it is the dealer’s fault. cht the next way and that’s why I wanted to ask for your opinion in advance. Greetings to everyone! Florian

Kia Ceed jd 1.6 GDI
Hello together, Since we are currently looking for a new station wagon, I look around at all manufacturers. I happened to find this interesting offer: https://suchen.mobile.de/…/details.html?… I have heard a lot of good about KIA. The car is now out of the warranty. Has also run little. The plan is to drive this about 100,000km. Of course, preferably without many problems. How are the GDI engines? I unfortunately have bad experiences with control chains in the last Ze Are there any problems with the chains at KIA? I don’t find much about the engines in the Internetz. Thank you for your help in advance! Ps.: I did not find a general purchase advice topic. If there is one: please move there.
