  • Strange behaviour of the alarm system after empty vehicle battery

Hello, It’s about a Ceed JD SW, where the battery was empty. So it was removed, charged and reinstalled. Before it was removed, the vehicle was opened manually with the key, as well as again for installation. From now on, the flashing behaviour changes when the vehicle was closed with the remote control. Before the incident with the battery, the flashers signaled after using the remote control with 1x flashing that the system is sharp and the vehicle is closed. The switch will not open for a while, but it will light up for a while in the centre console of the pushbuttons for the manual locking of the vehicle and then go out. This will take 30 -60 seconds. In between, the vehicle will give an audible locking pulse to the doors again. If I press the flashers 1x again on the remote control, the opening by remote control will always be confirmed by 2x flashing. That’s normal. Does anyone have an idea why the system doesn’t more automatically sharp and flashes 1x when closing? Greetings Robert

  • Proceed: What motorization?

Question see topic. I am about to decide for the procedure. However, I am not yet sure which engine it should be. My childish heart speaks for the GT, also against the background of the equipment. Especially the front windows heating speaks for it. However, I am more the defensive driver and watch out for economical driving. At the same time I find the possibility of sporty driving very attractive. A real dilemma. Heart against mind. Who doesn’t know it?. Despite a commuter distance of about 45 km a day, dealers do not assume that a diesel would be suitable for me. What are your experiences? From when do you think a diesel is worth it? My dealer assumes that due to the relatively small number of kilometres (15000-yearly) the engine could take long-term damage. Really difficult. In addition, I was not able to drive the GT line with 140 hp yet. I’m not sure how the driving feeling is. Thank you very much.

  • Proceed GT or GT-Line, but with a seat climate?

Hello together I decided to buy a procedure. However, I’m still breaking my head to which it should be. First of all: I’m from Switzerland and here are the differences between GT-Line and GT marginal (see comparison in the appendix). Roughly speaking only the following: GT-Line: – Leather seats with seat ventilation at the front GT: – more power So there’s not much to weigh against each other, but I still can’t decide and am grateful for inputs, which makes you personal I have to say that I would like to have the sitting ventilation already, because I sweat relatively quickly in the summer and it would be a great feature … just be a little fun for the family father with more PS, if the little one is not in the car. Thanks for your help. PS: to everyone from Switzerland, how much discount did you get your new car?

  • KIA horrendous costs for Bremensenwechsel – too much of the good?

Hello dear KIA community, since I recently had to go to the KIA workshop acutely due to grinding noises, a very heavy wear of the rear brake discs and pads was detected and they were also exchanged the same way. However, when I got the bill pressed into my hand, I fell out of all the clouds. I knew that KIA is expensive in repairs, but I didn’t imagine this extent. Therefore to you the question, I paid too much here and should be material brake block set rear 71,62€ brake discs rear 200,10€ brake protection paste 2,50€ brake cleaner 1,20€ small/help material 8,00€total material 283,06€services brake change 17 AW 142,80 brake caliper turnable 3 AW 25,20total services 168,00 total material + services 451,06€ + VAT 19% 85,70€total sum 536,76€ Compared to other prices you can read here as fast as I can find. thank you in the Vorau s and LG

  • Reasonable price Kia Ceed SW?`

Hi, you currently drive a polo and need a station wagon. Was first at the Toyota Avensis, but there is hardly any in southern Germany. Then at the Golf 7 Variant, there is like sand by the sea, but costs with ACC (distance tempomat) but also good 3 k more than a Kia. In the forum here I read from Ceed SW actually only good, especially in comparison with the Golf. Unfortunately I find no Ceed SW with ACC, which would be very important to me because I have a lot on the highway/Bundesstraße pendel. But well, you can n Now I have discovered this Kia Ceed SW.https://suche.mobile.de/vehicles/details.html?id=401631946& Unfortunately not 8-fold tires… Comparable diesel gäbs for 15 k, but with 8-fold tires. I drive about 12 to 14 k per year, so the diesel hardly pays to not at all. Why are there so few Kias here? And what do I have to consider in the offer? Does the steering chain do what or is this a disaster like with VAG? Greetings and thanks to all Kia drivers here

  • Now buy a Ceed SW (CD) or wait for the K4?

Hello, short question: We think about buying a Ceed SW (CD). It is the last opportunity to order the car because the successor (K4) will come next year. Does it make sense to buy the car from your point of view, or should you rather wait for the successor? My thought is that childhood diseases have already been eliminated on the CD and the prices are also very good, especially as a new EU car (23 TEUR with very luxuriant Edition-30 equipment).

  • Humidity in LED headlight front

Hello I noticed yesterday that I had some humidity in the headlight at the front left. Up – down. The middle was actually free. On the right it was not so bad. Mainly back to the door it was narrow foggy. I had washed the car a little bit more than a week ago. So with HD and distance. The car is always outside. This morning everything is fine again to the right. On the left it is also better. You see a circle. See picture. Do you have that too? I know, Hyundai KIA think, if it is not aquariums like, that it would be the technology. LEDs don’t get really warm. I’m curious if this goes away today. I have to drive 300 km. With my KIA Stonic this is not so. Same year of construction. But the headlight is also other built up.

  • Kia Ceed CD (2018/2019) Conversions and accessories

Hello together, would be if we could collect your changes, modifications, etc. here in this thread for the Ceed (CD) 2018/2019. The Kia accessories on the homepage is not too big now, since it would be nice to know which alternative “building” parts you are using…? Greetings Hotzi

  • Carhifi extension in KIA Ceed GT (CD) 1.6 T-GDI

Greetings! I would like to present you here a little bit the conversion of my Ceed. The Carhifi system is built for sound competitions and of course for your own pleasure. The pictures show the current progress, but it is even more planned. Components: Headunit: OEM with Spdif coax output DSP: Helix DSP Pro MKII + HEC HD-Audio USB + Director Front System: DLS Scandinavia 30+75+165W Sub: DLS Nordica 10i Amps: 6 x DLS CCi2 Unfortunately, the images cannot be inserted with BB code. The OEM radio gives a SPDIF signal which is used for the DSP. Navi voice, driving assistance runs via the original tweeter (full range). Freephone works directly via SPDIF. Radio, USB, etc. also via SPDIF. The speakers in the doors have been replaced. Doors have been massively insulated. In the doors the cables are laid by the tulles behind the door cable plug. Power supply is also provided by a tulle in the engine compartment towards the glove compartment. Additional battery is in the spare wheel pit. The rest should describe the pictures. 🙂

  • Ceed 1.5 rattles

Hello, with my Ceed 1.5 T-GDI something clatters. The sound occurs when you drive over bumps. I can’t locate the noise at all. Sometimes I think it comes from behind and sometimes it sounds like it’s coming from the footroom, so right under my feet, or towards the engine compartment but on the driver’s side. I also noticed, if I have to drive on the mountain and then stop again and then push the clutch quickly, I hear this too. Noise. Practically when the drive train is interrupted when the clutch is opened. Does any of you have such noises? I guess that maybe something is loose or something like that. The question is just what we also have a Ceed SW 1.4 T-GDI, in which the rear seat claps at the locks. But is not the case with me, I have already flipped the rear seat and it claps anyway. Also, I have already cleaned out everything. To be me.
