  • 19 inch rims < 10kg for Stinger GT 4WD

Hello together, since I have found no similar thread, I start something new here. I have been the proud owner of a 2019 Stinger GT in black with Bastuck and Panorama roof (just phenomenal the equipment in Kia). Like almost all vehicles, which are in my possession or were, I also play with the Stinger with the idea to lay the vehicle ~40mm deeper and to install beautiful 19 inch rims. So I am looking for 19 inch rims, which according to Mög I found only the Borbet DB8GT2 in 8.5×19 ET35 and the Barracuda Project 2.0 in 8.5×19 ET40. Has someone installed these or other light (likely also lighter) rims on the Stinger + and in particular with which tyre combination? According to the parts report, a 225 tyre is released at the front of the Barracuda. For me, the 225 tyre on a 8.5J rim is simply too narrow. Can one weigh at 8.5J front 245 and rear 2 55 tires? (e.g. part reviews as basis but single acceptance wheel-tire combination)? Look forward to your feedback. Thank you in advance.

  • Problems with the rear axle Stinger 2.0T

Hello all, I have mentioned as in one of my threads problems with the track/road position at speeds from about 180 km/h upwards. Yesterday I discussed the topic with the uncle of my wife who runs a free workshop. He meant there is the rule that one can assume that all problems that occur over 100 km/h come from the rear axle. I mean here in the one or other thread to have read that with some polter noises from the hi Nteraxes have occurred. Are there any other problems with the rear axle known? Bzw. who can report how the polter noise problem has been eliminated? In advance Thank you! LG Eagle1982

  • A new Stinger

Hello, I’ve been reading with you for a month and yesterday I finally had the time to order a Stinger 2.2 AWD in Deep Chroma Blue at the car dealership. Now it’s time to wait, maybe it’s a Christmas present. In addition to the glass roof, this is also the Excellence and the big technology package with dynamic chassis. The last 180000km an Audi A5 3.0 TDi Quattro has provided me with good services, but now it’s time for a refresh. I’m going to have the engine, however, As a small toy I still have a 2015 Ford Mustang GT convertible standing around, so I didn’t have to buy the Stinger GT (I don’t think my driving performance would be good for the wallet). To me: 40 years old from the beautiful Thuringia near Ilmenau. However, I work from Frankfurt, i.e. the little one will commute between Hesse and Thuringia. At the moment, only one mod is planned (Kia badge exchange), but if I look at my pony, it will be there. probably not stay. :-p Greetings Björn

  • Noise from the steering wheel amaturation board

Meal together, have a flapping/polishing noise from the area left steering wheel/amature board or tacho unit. I can’t say exactly where it comes from. Worst of all, it’s audible when I drive over a cross groove/fuge but also when driving on relatively flat road it’s noticeable despite radio (loudness quiet). Did you already see that from jmd.? PS: I have neither items in the side pocket of the driver’s door nor anything in the compartment for the sunglasses etc.

  • Availability date: KW43-45

Servus together, I would be interested in who has already received his Stinger (which for the delivery period announced in the subject) or has a binding delivery date. Apparently our cars are all on the same damper…

  • Stinger 2019 new processor in the infotainment system?

Hey, there’s smells that there’s supposed to be a new faster processor… you know more about it?

  • Kia’s comments on the deficiencies listed here

Hello in the round, since I am interested in the Stinger, I naturally follow the information in this forum 🙂 Quite normal is discussed here about problems with / at the Stinger e.g. rattles tailgate, Riefen brakes, Ruckeln drive train etc. Of course you can say now, clearly Monday cars there are always, but measured by the small quantities of the Stinger you get there already in the pondering. Therefore I simply asked Kia and received the following answer: “We lie for our model Kia Stinger does not have any information regarding the defects you have named. At present, no further adjustment is planned for our model Kia Stinger. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to provide you with any information about model changes in the future. For the model year 2019 the following innovations were made: – Exhaust gas standard Euro 6d-Temp – sports suspension (for the Stinger 3.3 T-GDI AWD, as well as for the Stinger 2.2 CRDi AWD) – new equipment elements and functions (new Ambie) ntelight with variable color, navigation system with 8-inch touchscreen, frameless design) – extended color palette (“Lakestone Metallic” For a better overview we would like to send you the current brochure (plus price list) for the Kia Stinger model year 2019 in the appendix ” Since one wonders, whether Kia has a certain operating blindness or ?

  • Delivery to the front door

Does anyone have experience with the delivery of new cars to the front door or is it rather advised not to do so? My chosen dealer, who integrates the best price and other accessories such as stand heating, etc. cheaply, is 600 KM away. From the costs (whether delivery fee or train ticket / petrol cost return) it makes no big difference. It is more about the effort. Advantage I see in that I have less stress and the car does not get any quirks yet, since I have it sealed promptly On the other hand, I would have already half of the drive-in behind me and can quietly check on the spot whether everything is fine with the vehicle… What do you think?

  • Questions about Stinger from year 2023

Hello all, I have a few questions about the last series: * are all Assi system deactivable? Especially the track holder is annoying. * is there a warning when speed is exceeded * can you still drive with “normal” cruise control instead of distance tempomat? * What holes do you expect if you remove the KIA front and rear logos? What else has changed seriously with the Bj2018? Except the rim and rear lighting design and the lower performance.
