  • Kia Stinger – What are you going to change?

    Hello, purchase decision is made. It will be the Stinger. Now I ask myself what I would change. There is always something you don’t like. 1. No, have no problem driving a Kia. But for real, the design of the manufacturer’s logo is underground. Will you exchange it for the E of Kia. The Stinger lettering comes on top of it. Or the GS middle, and Stinger lower right. On the bonnet then the E. On eBay one seems to have already recognized the need. 3. Handlebar depletion. A good saddler should be able to cover the middle part, i.e. horn cover, with a chic faux leather. The logomulde can be filled up. Let’s see if this collides with the air bag function. 4. USB ports. Find the one in the center console in the front fac h a little lean. There should be something in the hand compartment on the passenger side or in the rear storage compartment of the center console.   • Stinger GT purchase advice

    Hello, I came to the Stinger GT in my search for a new car and fell in love with him. Actually, I wanted a BMW G30 540i x-Drive, but I always loved the M550i, but I am now seriously thinking about whether it should not just be a Stinger GT. Just a pity that it does not exist with massage seats. But have some questions and I am happy about feedback from you Stingern owners Have read a lot and what more or whoi It’s clear: – Would like the Stinger GT MY21, i.e. with the new Navi/Display, even if I liked the rear lights from the first one better. Visually and functionally, I find the new display far better than the one from the 1st MY17 and the 2nd MY19 (where the mount was then changed from the 1st display). I don’t see the extra price for the Tribute Edition, and I don’t like the colour of the interior. – Actually, I would like to have the panorama roof, even if it’s clapping ka nn, but I like light & air from above. Only I have some concern that you will get a little cramped (you lose about 5cm in height). I am good 188cm tall, can someone give feedback on this? – How is the space available as a larger person in general? – With the interior equipment I find the suede equipment with the red seams most beautiful, even if it is difficult to judge on pictures how it can be viewed and touched in real terms, compared to the nappa leather. Until now sat I don’t know yet. – With the colors I swung between Ascot Green, Ceramicsilber and Deep Chroma Blue (even though I think that it’s almost in the direction of Violett in videos). – I would have liked to install the Bastuck exhaust system. Now I have also read about the problem with the hum. How bad is the huming at 120/130 km/h on long distance really? Undriving? Narrow? And can you drive the system generally quietly? So city traffic etc.? – After the purchase I would the Sta I’ve never driven one before, but what I’ve read so far about driving behavior in some situations has been enough for me to assume. I’m a colleague of your fora mods MadMax and Space star 2001 and I have a somewhat unusual question: I’ve been dreaming about a Kia Stinger for some time and the wish has matured so much in recent months that I’ve been looking around the “relevant platforms” for a suitable one since then. I also found one that I really like, but unfortunately it’s 300 km or three and a half hours away. which I am looking for more intensely, unfortunately not a single car in my area is available at a car dealership that you could try. At this point the rarity has its disadvantages, but buy a car without even having the touch of a feeling for it is not so my thing. And because of a test drive or a seat sample 300 km to drive… Puh, difficult… Don’t you happen to know a way to get in contact with someone? Do you know someone who knows you or gives you e s here in the forum randomly someone who comes from the Saarland or adjacent RLP, which I could ask? I would of course also show myself recognisable.   • Inexplicable vibrations

    Hello, I hope you can continue to help me have a problem with my Stinger GT for a long time. Track plates are installed and lowering springs from HR. The rest is standard. The problem is at about 130km/h it starts with vibration. It also stops at higher speeds. If I am at this speed and switch to N also remains the vibration. It has already been checked 1. Tires and also new tires changed. 2. Rims have also checked nothing. 3. 4. New discs and brake pads. I’m desperate they want to mount new drive shafts that are very expensive and don’t even know for sure that it is fixed. Hope you had the same problem and already a solution.

  • Exhaust flap control via smartphone possible?

    Moin Moin, I just bought a Kia Stinger BJ 2021. However, he only has the standart exhaust system and I would like to have it retrofitted by Bastuck. The system for the Stinger is a flap system that opens from 70km/h and also has a remote control, with which you can open manually (if you are e.g. on the race track or not in Germany is of course only). Now to my question: Is it really a MUST that the flaps have to be controlled via the manufacturer remote control? O in 2025 there is not also a possibility to replace the remote processing with the smartphone? A control over the smartphone would be VIEL better than the dubious FB constantly flying around in the car and possibly to get any accusations at a control if someone discovers them. Does anyone have experience with it? Is there a possibility to let the control of the FB take over from the smartphone or can one possibly an additional module on the flap control bast before the installation Is this possible?   • Switch the center console cup holder open / with flap?

    Servus dear ones, Since I have had my Stinger for 2 days, I annoy you every day with new topics. Today again a new one, because unfortunately I find no spare part online (or none that I am willing to pay at the prices). I have the version with the lockable flap for the cup holders, since I will never close it anyway, I would prefer the open version optically. If someone has an idea where I can get this center console (without paying 300+€) od he even better: Is there someone here in the forum who might have the open option and would rather have the closed one with whom you can exchange?   • Stuttering during acceleration: MAP sensor defective?

    Hi Community, since I had my Stinger (3.3 BJ 21) in January for a 2-year inspection (without oil change, i.e. on the engine was actually not done), I notice a strong stutter with large thrusters when accelerating from about half to 3/4 gas. With gentle driving the motor run is actually inconspicuous and also the consumption is in the normal range. Error codes are unfortunately not set, so that I am a bit helpless, which is the reason. I was therefore already with KIA, but their next appointment to look at the problem is unfortunately only at the end of March. The master suspects the usual suspects such as candles, ignition coils or injectors. Since I would not like to drive around for another month with (probably) ignition problems, I started looking for the cause myself. I looked with the iOS Car scanner in the signals for striking values, and at the same time the air flow rate (“MAF air flow”, see screenshots The first screenshot is at a constant 130km/h, and the second one is in idle mode. Even under a larger load, you can’t see any changes in the signal. I don’t know how it is handled with Hyundai/Kia, but at least with some German manufacturers I know it so that there are bullshit signals on the CAN bus, which show completely wrong values even without malfunctions. Therefore, my question, one of you has already taken a look at this signal by chance. ? My hope would be that it would show plausible values in other Stingern. That would clearly limit my problem.

    I just try it here in the forum…. Search for this way in the region Niederrhein, Kleve, Goch, Kalkar, Rees and surroundings…. like-minded Stinger drivers to exchange ideas and, or sometimes together to make a small exit, drink coffee and fantasies.   • Bitch without a mouth moaning

    Hello community. I’ve been driving a 3.3 GT year 2018 – so still without OPF. It’s a Bastuck exhaust system without flap installed. The system roars extremely at load between about 1,500 and 2,500 revolutions. When driving longer in this area (e.g. uphill drive on the highway at 130 km/h speed limit) you get really headaches. I really think about whether I have to build an original system under it again. Does someone have the same problem or can you here Abhi I’m grateful for every tip.
