My problem in the washway was that when the ignition (engine off) was switched on, I didn’t manage to switch the gearbox to neutral and exit without the gearbox switching to parking position. I only had the solution to run the engine with the key in the car. Is there a solution?

Unfortunately, I only found the USA/Canada user manuals in English and French so far. Since they are the US versions, there are some features that do not exist in Europe (e.g. SiriusXMTM), but most of the features are identical. Therefore, I think it is twice interesting: you can look at what is different with the US version and also look online for your own car. LED lamp defective / headlights change themselves
Hello, my Ceed has already received the Kplt. headlight on the right (seen from the driver’s seat). Changed on guarantee. The LED is not defective again. I have read a lot that it can be on the board or on the tape itself. My dealer does not want to do this on a culant and not make an application. Cost njr for the headlight 1100,-…… Well the question whether you can do this yourself with craftsmanship. The main headlight, installation side right (must be right?) SNR 1260/ ACX costs 270 EUR in retail. The Tüv has criticized this. Last time I came with the defective LED by the TÜV. This tape unfortunately goes out again and again, always on the same page. I also read that it could be on the board. Do you have to re-learn headlights or reix the simple installation? Would you be very grateful for answers. Greetings

Navi Update 2022 – how bad
Moin. Kia told me this year that they no longer make the annual updates, but they are freely available to the end customer. So I made the update this month. I have a Ceed SW from 2019, so without a wide screen. After installing the update I find the optics of the system in need of getting used to, but was negatively surprised when I first used the navigation. I first thought I installed it incorrectly, or chose the wrong software. But in the Update Assistant there is only one selection MY’19 for my vehicle, map work Europe. The new navigation runs incredibly slowly and stifling. The map jerks in the curves and it is incredibly fuzzy in the presentation! It looks like you’re playing a flight simulator on Windows 95. At the Autozoom it slowly reloads and is therefore often totally pixelous. Now I ask myself the question, is this the update for this year, what should actually bring improvements? I ch has the feeling that this map presentation was no longer designed for the small screen at all, so bad is that. Before (Update 2021) it was good, now it is crap, almost useless. Is it with other Ceed with small screen also so? And is there any way to reinstall the version of 2021? SCC Settings
2-3 months ago I had set the acceleration of the SCC to fast and wanted to change it again, because it is very uncomfortable for my feeling. However, I can no longer find the option. I had only found a thread about the search in which it was mentioned in a secondary sentence that the option was apparently removed without further details. Is there a way to reset the option? It seems that only the option in the menu was hidden, but maintain the previously set configuration. Theoretically only a 0, 1 or 2 would have to be overwritten in a config file.

Kia Rio 1.4 2012 with Keyless Go Problem Locking
Hello, I have a problem with my Kia Rio from 2012. The vehicle has a ZV with FB, and also Keyless Go. Occasionally and completely arbitrary my car can no longer be opened. It then works neither Keyless Go, central locking or directly key in the lock. Driver and passenger door remain locked. Only the trunk opens in all 3 attempts. The error occurred the first time about 14 days ago and since then determined to the 10 times. It behaves like this. , that I try for minutes until the car can be opened after all. The last time even the alarm went on. Possibly the car unlocked briefly (for maybe 1 second) and then immediately shuts the doors again?! Light does not at least go on in and on the vehicle. Does anyone have an idea what that can be? Door locks would rule out, as both doors are affected. It will probably not be a specific problem with Keyless Go either. I hope for help greeting, Anni

Kia Rio 1.5 CRDI – hub hot, brake made new?!?
Moin! At the front left the wheel hub became very hot and the brake disc is smeared through. Before that I always heard a “wubbling” or grinding noise, especially in the roundabout or long drawn curves. In the workshop I was told that the brake caliper was fixed and it would have to be a new one, as well as discs and coverings in front. Said, even if it hit me as a stand-alone apprentice very hard… The noise was felt better after the workshop visit last week but still l Now I called the workshop yesterday, that the problem is not fixed, when I realized that the noise is getting louder again and the wheel hub is warm again. What could that be? I honestly don’t want the gentlemen from the workshop to be responsible for something else again and again and I’m a case for Peter Zwegat later…

Kia Rio 1.2 or 1.4 Gasoline?
Hello We are looking for a small car on the Rio. The design did it to us. The workmanship makes a very good impression. The test car was an edition7 with 1.4 L. The engine is also considerably quieter when accelerating than the dt. competition. If you do not expect the 109 HP, the performance for a small car goes in order. Only it remained the impression “less should not be”. The seller advised from the smaller engine, but they do all wrong. ls they think this is still in the budget. If something is criticized in the test reports at all, then the “flow weakness” of the 1.4 he engine. In the Focus report the smaller engine was referred to as the more modern and recommendable.No further test report gives information about it.Focus test report The only hint in the data sheets that it could be different engine development levels: The small engine has the longer stroke. 1.2er: 78.8mm, 1.4er; 75mm. Has anyone driven both? or can anyone confirm the statements in the Focus article? My dealer has only 1.4 on the farm. Greeting Bernd
