  • Traffic sign recognition > Warning?

Moin, on my Kia Ceed SW PHEV I have activated traffic sign detection. So I see in the Navi and the other displays when a speed limit has been detected. Is there a possibility that I will receive a warning if I exceed the speed? I haven’t found anything in the settings so far. VG Björn

  • Car just delivered, small damage and confusion.

Hello friends of the well-kept Kia Proceed GT. I was lucky to be able to order one of the last GT variants and this one was delivered today. I had the opportunity to inspect the car directly from the truck. Unfortunately, I noticed two or three things that didn’t go so well. Once I have small various scratches in the back of the diffuser and in the above piano lacquer. But that is clearly repairable or replaceable. So I hope na Is there anyone who knows if this is replaceable? Besides, the two light bars don’t meet each other. Is this adjustable or repairable? Does anyone know that? But what I would be interested in burning I would have two stickers on the tailgate. Once at the bottom right and once at the top of the tailgate, where Modify is on it. Does anyone know what it is with these stickers? At no other Kia do I have the stickers found. in the trunk is of course still the trailer coupling which has to be installed. Does it have to do with it? Maybe we have an expert who might work at Kia and knows if such cars, if they had coarser scratches etc. after being painted, repaired way of relationship? Thank you for your honest feedback.

  • 19 inches for XCeed

Hello municipality, I’m new here and from next week also Kia XCeed – driver. I’m coming from the Skoda Superb corner. I’m looking for 19 Zöller for the XCeed for the coming summer. So I’m working back into the matter, but I have the feeling that the selection is apparently low if you are looking for models where no conversion work would be necessary. Maybe I have had bad luck with the search so far. My question would be: has someone already 19er at the current XC eed in use, where no conversion work was necessary? And how big can the ET be, so that they do not stand out of the wheelhouse? Greeting and beautiful election evening Thomas

  • Help! Air filter of my Kia Ceed was not properly closed after inspection before 3000km

Hello together, a few weeks ago I bought a used Kia Ceed from 2019. It was particularly important to me that the car was kept in a Kia workshop to make sure that it was still covered by the factory warranty. Shortly after the purchase I noticed that my car was knocking at the start in the morning (after a long standstill). This problem also occurred on the following days. I immediately contacted the workshop and received an appointment for today. I today I was contacted by the workshop and informed that the engine’s air filter was probably not properly sealed during the last inspection. This caused the knocking when starting. The last inspection took place about 3000 kilometers ago, while I only own the vehicle for about 600 kilometers. This means that the car has not been properly covered for 3000 kilometers with a Now I am concerned that this could have led to long-term damage to the engine and would like to hear your opinion on it. Since I have both the warranty from the dealer and the Kia factory warranty and this was a fault of a Kia workshop, I would also be interested in how I should proceed best.

  • Chassis problems Kia Ceed

Hi together, a few weeks ago I got my winter tires on it. While I was on my way to a customer, I noticed from 100/110km/h that my steering wheel began to vibrate. Suspicion: tires not balanced. Unfortunately, I could not cancel the appointment with the customer so I had to drive a total of 800km. On the way back I noticed that the vibrations somehow decreased but the suspension felt every fugue and every hubbel let through into the body. The next day, I went to the workshop for testing the chassis (my vehicle still has a guarantee). There, nothing was found. Statements such as: subjective impression, too high air pressure, the change from summer to winter tires…. etc. “Stand der Technik” Vibration away > Hard and damp rides still exist. It’s just as if I suddenly had a hard sports suspension. Very uncomfortable. As a layman, for example, I couldn’t find an oil leak at the dampers. But from the axle suspension or something, I have no idea. O-Ton mechanic: “These are many different parts, that can be anything. I can’t help you.” I’m a bit perplexed. Does anyone have tips? Or clues? What could it be? About every little help I’m Thank you. Greetings

  • Ceed 1.4 T-GDI power loss

Hello Ceed driver, especially the 1.4 Turbo people here, My vehicle: 1.4 T-GDI DCT, KM stand about 4200 km. I had already 2 times a low power loss, both times a motorway ride with approx. 120 km/h, wanted to speed up then, but nothing comes. After a short time (perhaps 1 km driving distance) everything returned to normal. In the Hyundaiboard exactly a similar phenomenon with the 1.4 engine was discussed on a page-wise basis, but believe without result. Noise did not occur to me, just that the engine just didn’t turn up anymore. I know that here in the forum some drivers of the GT with the 1.6 he engine have problems with fluctuating charging pressure, should the 1.4er also be affected by this??? Looking forward to a lively information exchange. Thank you and greetings

  • 1.0 T-GDI Edition 7 Sportswagon New purchase (about My car) makes sense?

Hello, I think, instead of a used car like usual, this time a cheap combination new, with discount e.g. to buy about “My car” to drive 5 years without technical problems and then to sell well. With the current used car prices the value loss would perhaps not even be much greater than with a used ? – so the idea As a good possibility seems to me the Ceed 1.0 T-GDI Edition 7 Sportswagon, 3 cylinder, 100 hp, 998 ccm, possibly also the 1.0 T-GDI 88k W Edition 7 Sportswagon, i.e. 120hp. With My car, the small 100hp variant in the basic equipment would cost a good 1800€ instead of 22490 after deduction of the discount. That seems attractive to me. I have some question marks: Can such combinations be sold in 5 years as well as now? Is the Ceed in these two engine variants ok? Does it make sense to buy via such sales portals? That’s why I would be very interested in assessments, thank you in advance!

  • Kia Rio Diesel 1.1CRDI and 1.4CRDI ?

Hello together, so my old BMW is getting more and more problems so that I think about a new vehicle. It should above all be economical, inexpensive in maintenance as well as very reliable. Who has experience with the current Kia Rio as diesel ?? 1,1CRDI or 1,4CRDI ? What consume these engines in the Rio, there are weaknesses, how does it look with running culture and heat performance in cold weather of these quite small engines ? Would be grateful about Info ́s !! Greetings TECMIKE

  • Timing belts

Hello I have many questions. 1.) My KIA PICANTO EX 1.1 48KW (65hp) BAUJA 12/2006 so soon 6 years old. But has only 13200 KM.(So no 3000 KM per year.) In my operating instructions it is necessary to change the timing belt at 90000 KM or 6 years. Is this necessary with my very low mileage. The workshop would say : 6 years change,so!! 2.)How can you look at this? 3.) What can the cost of changing the timing belt? Would I be pleased with the answers. Gerd

  • Turn off “Comfortblinken” – Kia Rio

Hello together We are since yesterday happy owner of a relatively new Kia Rio. First registration 02/17. Only what bothers at the moment is this automatic 3 to 4 times blinking when you tap the lever. User manual gives nothing here if and how you can turn it off. Does anyone know if the Ggf. goes over detours? We are rather classically on the road and it just bugs us.
