  • Brake discs/covers moved – Vibrating while braking

Hello people! My Ceed, with a current mileage of just under 3500 km, vibrates during braking from higher speeds (from about 120 km/h). Since I already had enough of this for vehicles from the VW Group, I suspect once again very strongly warped brake discs as a cause. With a mileage of 3500 KM it is natural for me that this has to be handled via the guarantee, even if brake discs / pads are a wear part. As mentioned earlier, I had to have such experience before, and as far as the topic is concerned, I am already sensitized, and watch out! It can’t be the driving style, because there were also brake discs at VW which then worked 80000 km without any problems. The salesman and the service technician said at the takeover that I should use the car quite normally, braking is not necessary. My questions to you, specialists or users with knowledge of the material: – Which equipment supplier provides the brake discs + pads for the KIA Ceed? – Is such a symptom known at Kia Ceed, are there users here who have experienced the similar? – …. and can recommend better brake discs / pads? – Can the car user somehow influence the durability of the brake discs / pads (except my above precautions), or is it s tark depending on the quality of the installed parts? – Why does this happen again now, had such a fault picture at VW 3x and every time it was changed on guarantee … would finally like brake discs, which also hold 80000 km! Do not drive like a Formula 1 driver and torture my brake discs. Care for cooling and not constant “grinding” of the brakes / permanent brakes! From that, what else should I do? At VW it was good then, after which I came the 3rd time and so much Is there no longer a proper long-lasting brake? PS: In brief appointment with Kia, but I would like to clarify in advance whether someone with possibly “better” brake discs has had good experiences etc. The discussion round is open. Thank you in advance for the answers!

  • Align Supervison instrument display?

Hello everybody, I’m very impressed with the full-digital instrument display in my Ceed SW BJ20. But I noticed something today that wasn’t like that until now: pretty much in the middle, where the “Auto Hold” symbol is, a little bit seems to be cut off below. Was the days with Mr. Wash and I cleaned the car inside too. Can it be that the alignment/centering of the display as a whole was somehow changed? If that’s possible, where can I do that? Didn’t find anything? with an example – even if I change the angle of view, a part remains cut off below, but only with “Auto Hold”. The other symbols close clean and in time. Has anyone noticed this before or could someone alternatively look at themselves, if that is similar? Merci!

  • Are there day-kilometre counters at Ceed SW, execution vision, see how to activate?

Dear knowledgeer, according to information about setting/activation of day-km counters, there is something in the manual of the infotainment about it. I did not have such a manual with the new car purchased in Oct.20. Is there any such manual? Or are there any other clues as to how to adjust. The hints in the manual of the Ceed, (thick rind) starting in Chapter 4-80, do not help me either. Thought so earlier that one has a button to put at the beginning, if one had fuelled. O who otherwise wanted to use the day-km counter in between. Does someone have a helpful tip for this? Thank you in advance EMWE1100

  • Ceed GT JD Bastuck ex factory

Hello all, I have now switched to a Ceed GT (BJ 2017) (see picture) – is also really fun the little but the Bastuck ex factory is sound-technically a disappointment (not even completely made of stainless steel). Can someone please tell me if a plant from Kat or only the ESD were changed if you have put a hook in the sports exhaust? Am I thinking about buying the associated Bastuck VSD but that only fits, of course, even if the connection tube of Bastuck is. b unfortunately no lift here. Thank you! Best regards and nice weekend

  • KIA Ceed_sw BJ 2013 Roll-off noise

Hello together, since April I am the owner of the new Kia Ceed_sw. I am quite happy with the vehicle (previously Opel) as well as the processing. What bothers me uncanny are the loud rolling noise of the tires. Funny way only on the rear wheels and depending on the road surface quite different. Who has the same experience and am I here alone.

  • Warranty loss in customer service in no KIA workshop

Hello together! I’ve always been in a “1a” workshop with me around the corner. My KIA dealer with workshop is 30 kilometers away and that’s personal too far for the customer service. My workshop also works with my KIA dealer. I.e. if he doesn’t get along or needs to know something, then he calls there or drives the car himself and checks it. My workshop always fills in the full synthetic oil 5W-40. That was actually always a good idea for me. n Dorn in the eye but now that you mention it*, I’m quiet again 😉 No I really can’t complain. They’re absolutely good. No cheap homeer. Then I don’t have to reckon with restrictions on warranty. I hope so. *http://www.motor-talk.de/…/…ed-langzeitqualitaet-t4551219.html?…

  • Disable buckle-on beep Kia Cee’d Eco

I know that it is not like to be heard here and I can also like messages like: “Why do you buy a car with functions that you don’t like?” etc. Please only answers from people who know themselves and want to help me. It’s about the following I have to drive very often short distances, don’t even say 1 KM! But I also have my entire equipment with me very often: “Notebook with printer and paper documents” I put these out of convenience(un d that’s exactly what it’s all about) on the passenger seat. Now I would have to strap on the dummy belt every time! I can put the equipment down on the floor or in the trunk! I also don’t want to have the belt constantly strapped on and also buy no buckle. So I checked if I can solve this myself somehow and noticed that a cable goes away from the strapping thing and goes directly into a box under the passenger seat (with the driver exactly the same thing about it). hts not!), here would be a way to plug exactly this cable (it is a Klip plug as it is found in many electronic devices). Now the crucial question: Since on this box there is also airbag on it and two more cables go away one (thick) into the car electronics and one in the side airbag of the seat(thin), I am not sure if I can just complete this. Please for information!! Lg Thomas
