It is the car of an acquaintance. Your Ceed has to be by the TÜV and the right headlight causes problems – especially the daytime driving light. Here is a photo, on which you can see that the LED light strip on the right side is less bright than on the other side. Everything else seems to work wonderfully. At first it was said that only the daytime driving light had to be replaced. However, the employee of ATU then informed her that he held consultation with KIA I’m looking online for headlights for KBA No. 1260 (2.1) ACV (2.2) starts the list at 150€ and there are many spare parts up to 350€ but also some that are even more expensive. I wonder, however, how ATU could demand 2000€ here, that’s not in any proportion for me – especially because that means almost an economic total damage for them. I wonder, however, how ATU could demand 2000€. Also, why the LED strip cannot be replaced separately (this was first suggested to her, but does not work now). These would be cheaper again. I am confused myself, because as spare parts both the round illuminants and the LED strip are displayed – what of it is actually the daytime driving light? I recommended her to visit a free workshop and get advice there. A guarantee has the car na ch 8 years no longer (it would have been 7) and an employee of KIA (I think of a workshop) wanted money to make an effort at all to regulate the bulwark. It must also be mentioned that the car was involved in an accident (not caused by itself) a few months ago after, among other things, the left headlight was replaced. At that time, the right was certified by an expert report to be fully functional.

How to detect whether already 48V-Mildhybrid or still “old” model
Hello, I ordered my ProCeed with the 136hp diesel engine in January 2020, as my previous leasing contract expires in September. If someone now asks themselves “Why so early?” I have already experienced bad surprises with the delivery times at other manufacturers. Looking back it was probably also right this time because of the Corona chaos. The vehicle was produced in June 2020 and is already standing at my dealer. Now the diesel engineization was changed at the end of April. The 48V-Mildhybrid-Technik. Now the interesting question arises for me, whether my car has already been produced as a Mildhybrid or not. How do I then recognize when I take over the vehicle, whether it is a Mildhybrid or not? Is there a hint in the papers or somewhere a “48V” print in the vehicle (please don’t laugh)? Ohso, just for a moment to clarify: I am aware that I have no claim to the Mildhybrid-Version. eug ordered, this variant did not exist yet, especially since the vehicles have become even more expensive by the Mildhybrid technology. Is just an interesting question, what happens when the technology changes after ordering but before production. Best regards

Apple Carplay or Android Car?
Since I have ordered my Proceed now and there is also a mobile phone change, I wonder what would be better in combination with inductive charging and linking to the Proceed. Apple Carplay looks better, but the mobile phones are also overpriced. Android car unfortunately I have no experience. Can you help a little further and maybe share experiences? Thank you

Unsecured automatic on the Kia Ceed 1.4 T-GDI DCT ?
Today, my Kia Ceed automatic, parked in the supermarket parking lot, rolled backwards from the parking space into another standing vehicle about 8m away. I didn’t notice it until I returned to the parking lot and found the police and a injured person there. As it turned out, I had forgotten to put the gearbox on P in the hurry. Unfortunately, I didn’t wear the handbrake either. When I re-educated the situation, I had to find out with horror that sic h the key was pulled off to D. There was no warning signal or similar. The fact that the car then simply rolled away in D-position even with minimally exhausting ground, puts the crown on the whole. Here I wanted to ask completely astonished and terrified here if this is normal and right with Kia. With my previous vehicles it was simply impossible to leave the car like this. Now I have an annoying damage and am totally operated. be. Or ?

Connection problems KIA live data
Hello together, we recently have problems with the data connection in the Proceed. Sometimes the live data is immediately available, but sometimes not at all. Then the UVO connection to the vehicle also doesn’t seem to work. Vodafone cards are installed – can it be due to poor mobile network or are there other sources of error? Until recently it still worked perfectly. Greetings, Tom.

Underbody and cavity sealing
Hello dear community, I still have a question about my new Ceed. For the vehicle I had commissioned an underbody and cavity seal at the car dealership. For the underbody seal I was announced a waxy black mass, which is applied to the vehicle floor. Now I tried to look under the vehicle today and ask myself whether the seal was carried out. Also at the risk of making me ridiculous … I am Here are some photos of the underbody:https://imgur.com/a/z1tPmzI I see a lot of black there, but for me as a layman the black painted parts look like black or black plastic parts installed from the factory. In between I also see again and again blank, silver metal. Has there been sealed there? Maybe so clean and tidy that this looks like lacquered? And do individual parts have to remain blank? Many Many thanks already in advance …

No benefit in specific situations (DCT)
So, this morning on the way to work again had the problem that I could completely push through the accelerator at about 120 kmh and the processed did not accelerate at all. The automatic transmission switched down, the speed went to 4 to 5 tsd revolutions, however I had no power. On the contrary, the processed even slowed down. I stopped at a suitable place and wanted to accelerate again from 0 kmh. What should I say, it accelerated to a maximum of 30 kmh and The speed was almost in the red area. Thank God there was so little going on that I could turn on my cell phone and filmed both situations. The dealer can look at it nicely on Monday and they should not show me any more with the error memory. The car stops with them and I take a rental car. This is too dangerous for me and I have no confidence in the car anymore. If this happens during a overtaking process…. My wife w The Proceed GT has only cracked the 2 tsd km mark today. Unbelievably so. I’m curious what the dealer says to the videos on Monday. Well…

Proceeded folding lid of the center console
Does anyone know any advice about what you can do? With my really nothing except this stupid lid on the center console… and always when you slurp the elbow to unsavory, is shaken by a pothole. My dealer even looked at me with big eyes when I told him about it. He then glued felt strips inside to the ceiling of the flap. But that didn’t help anything. They also solved themselves on their own. So Snot was…. Is there possibly even something official here? It from KIA? what I can point out to my hands? Danek you.

Door can’t open
Have my Ceed now for 3 weeks. About every third to fourth time the door cannot be opened from the outside (only after arrival, not at departure). Luggage compartment and all the other doors go. Clutch then brings nothing, car is open. If then car has to turn on and turn off again, then the door opens. Haven’t seen a pattern yet….has anyone got an idea?

The first time with automatic through the washing line
This is my first car with automatic circuit. It’s like I’ve never driven an automatic before, and now I have some questions about using a washing line. I usually visit one of these wash lanes where you stay in the car and are pulled through. Now to my questions: 1. Normally you should not switch off the engine, but switch the transmission to N. But to get the gear to N. I’m not going to drive the car. u change, I have to brake, what is forbidden in the wash road. So how do I have to imagine this? Can/should one switch from D to N, while the car still rolls slightly, or only brake very briefly to change the gear? 2. In another wash road it is pointed out that also automatic vehicles have to switch off the engine. In doing so, one should make sure that the automatic parking brake is not activated. How is this with Ceed? ors the parking brake? If yes, how can you turn it off? I know this topic has been discussed before, but I couldn’t find an answer to these questions. Also a Google search did not help. And please don’t have any stupid comments according to the motto, how I couldn’t know how to drive into a wash road. Greetings
