  • Radio no sound and/or cracks

    Hey, for a few days now I’ve had a crack on the speakers or sometimes even no sound at all. I’ve tried a lot. I’ve changed the radio and wobbled on all kinds of cables, etc. – nothing. The only thing I can do to cause the error myself is to set the air conditioning so cold it goes and wait 2-3min. First it starts to crack, shortly after that there’s no sound. When I turn on the heater afterwards, it takes 2-3min until it starts to crack and shortly after that I have no problems. Does someone happen to have the same problem or can someone tell me what’s sitting between the radio and the speakers? Or whether the radio is directly connected to the speakers? If there’s something there, you just get there? Or does the entire dashboard have to be removed? MfG

  • Detached tank flap panelling

    Hello, the tank flap on my sports hall is no longer flush, but in the last few weeks it has taken off more and more at the lower part. A gap of approx.1cm has now been created below. Workshop – has never seen it before. But still be normal. TÜV – is abnormal – can be directed at the workshop. Request KIA runs.   • Inspection 60000Km, NQ5 PHEV, too expensive!?

    Hello, I just registered in the forum. I received a cost estimate for a 60000Km inspection yesterday from my KIA dealer of trust and was shocked. The total cost is 1350 €. I found nothing about “60000Km inspection” in forum for an NQ5. Has anyone already done 60000Km inspection and how much did you pay? Do you find it too expensive, or is it now the Kia normal? The 30000 inspection was about brigens at 770 €, which is considered in the near future OK. I have just written on 3 more Kia dealers for an estimate, I am spanned what is still coming. VG Eugen

  • Luggage compartment for Sportage PHEV?

    I’m a fan of trunk trays, but I haven’t found one for the sports hall PHEV yet. Same problem with my E-Niro (with subwoofer) also nothing available, then I bought the for without subwoofer and cut the part accordingly where the subwoofer sits. Purchase actually always at Az…, can’t find anything there absolutely. Where do you buy your trunk trays? Are there corresponding parts at Kia? Many greetings from Franken

  • Software/Cards Update 17.01.2025 Kia Sportage NQ5

    Didn’t anyone else get or install the software update from the 17th year 2025, which seems to have been withdrawn by now? The update was apparently only available for a few days and now the software update from August 2024 appears again on both the Kia Update page and the Update app. Apparently, Kia has withdrawn the update without justification. So far, I have not noticed anything new or any bug after the update but that is probably typical again. ia. Bring out an update with difficulty and need 1-2 times a year and then also with errors. Kia builds solid, but now absolutely no cheap cars, but they simply cannot or do not want software or software maintenance.

  • Effectiveness ESP Sportage 2009

    Hi, I tested the ESP of my sportage (2 liters, 2WD) yesterday on a snow-smooth road and was surprised to be horrified: I pulled the handbrake during the ride and hit it lightly – effect equal to zero! I’m just spoiled because my multivan reduces the speed of the handbrake when the ESP is switched on and stabilizes the vehicle with it. A conscious spin is not to be provoked. In return, I have the same thing on a parking lot tested – the reaction at the Sporti was almost identical with or without ESP! That’s quite fun in a parking lot, but doesn’t it work on the road as well? Does one of you know what? Thanks already and many greetings fredfetsch

  • Sorento can’t stand by heating

    Hello, yesterday I got my Sorento.He is from 2004,a German modelo.The heater is upgraded to a heater.Now I studied the operating instructions and now tried the heater.Not possible. Had previously set Temp. to 30 degrees (at the air conditioning system), air to the windshield and blower on one.When I press the button with the flame at the timer then the control unit of the air conditioner lights up and I hear the blower running.Otherwise I got my Sorento. Nothing.Even after 20 minutes no change.Almost pretty angry because I picked up the car yesterday and had an inspection before and a transfer check… Isn’t this being checked? Or did I do something wrong? Or is the heater not running at the current outside temperatures? (have 25 degrees at the moment) What should I do? Bye, Bolle

  • Saw tooth formation at Kia Sportage

    I have been driving a Kia Sportage since May 2008. After about 4 months and 15000 km of driving performance I had a saw tooth formation on my vehicle on all four tires (Bridgestone). After I complained about this problem during the inspection, I was often asked to change the tyres from front to rear or diagonally (running direction bound ? ). Now I have already driven 37000 km my winter tires have the same problem. I try now with a lawyer my Garatie claims through European Union.

  • Sportage slows down by itself!!

    A warm hello to a new member. I would like to describe my big problem with my sportage as the first post. In humid and cold weather the ESP shuts down. Should not be so bad at first. However, it has happened at least 5 times that the vehicle with the front right wheel slows down out of the blue. (also at 130km/h on the highway!!!!!!) The vehicle was therefore already 5 times in the workshop, the control unit and e in sensor have been changed. But the error continues to occur. Today the car is back there again, but it showed again only the error of a defective plug-in connection. So the relevant connections are checked and cleaned. Is not the first time. Then I can pick up the car again. And now? Then I have again a super dangerous vehicle in front of the door, which I want to move only with a lukewarm stomach feeling. If I switch off the ESP manually, the error does not occur. D So I’m driving without this help. Is this a solution? A call to KIA’s service didn’t bring a solution. I’m thinking of selling the vehicle, but what should I say to a potential buyer? Or selling a two-year-old car as a hobby vehicle? That’s just ridiculous.     Question:My Kia Sorento is 1.5 years old, after 3 times lying on the highway, is now the machine ready, at 35,000 KM!!!!!!My question:Is Kia obliged to exchange the car, after 3 capital damages???? Answer would be nice!!!
