  • A few questions about the brand Land Rover/Range Rover!

Hello RR driver! I was at a car exhibition yesterday and I saw the latest models of the car brand Range Rover. I particularly like the Range Rover Sport. I have been driving a Fiat Freemont until now and my wife is driving a BMW X5. I am now thinking about getting on a Range Rover Sport. The problem is that I have no experience with the brand. But in the car dealership I was enthusiastic about the interior materials. Everywhere finest leather. I have a few questions for you now: Why did you buy a Land Rover or Range Rover? How satisfied have you been with your car and can you keep up with the British brand with the German premium brands Audi, BMW and Mercedes? I look forward to your answers and remain with your kind regards.

  • ZF nine-speed transmission in the Range Rover Evoque

Schwalbach – The Range Rover Evoque will receive a nine-speed automatic transmission at the end of the year. The transmission developed by the German supplier ZF replaces the six-speed automatic transmission offered so far in the compact SUV and is intended to reduce consumption. However, the British do not yet mention precise data. The Evoque is currently available in three engine versions, two diesels with 150 and 190 hp and a gasoline engine with 240 hp. The technically related Land Rover Freelander will not be able to use the new automatic transmission. ZF-Nine-speed automatic transmission is currently the transmission with the most transmission stages in the passenger car sector. It is based on the eight-speed automatic transmission of the same manufacturer, but is supposed to be particularly economical thanks to a long-translated ninth gear especially at motorway speeds. In addition to Land Rover, Chrysler has already announced the introduction of the transmission for the Jeep Cherokee and Dodge Dart models in the current year.Source: SP-X

  • Don ́t feed the Troll

In the last few days almost every second thread has developed into a side-war scene for smaller skirmishes between the old-established Range Rover drivers and the Evoque owners. I am personally sorry for the TO ́s, who probably only want answers to their amounts. In other forums there are sometimes similar jibs between the different vehicle classes but such children’s stuff should not, in my opinion, be put up in too many posts. It would be nice if the “normal” contributions were only to respond to the questions asked and avoid unnecessary discussions there. For this reason, I thought that if there were deviations from the actual thread topic, one could refer to this article here with a link and thus defuse other areas and keep them clean. Here would be the space in which one can continue degenerate discussions. Who can get a little more involved with the mater he wants to deal with the title of this thread, he can read about trolls cleverly and find out about the mechanisms of the less objective discussion culture in the I-Net. Maybe this also brings the one or the other to think before a post is published? Looking forward to your comments. Greeting romme9

  • Country Rover P550e

Hi to all Range Rover holders! The original waiting area thread for Range Rover holders was unfortunately closed …. now here my question: Has anyone already received an exact delivery date for the P550e – which apparently has been built since the end of the company holiday? I have been waiting for the P510e since April 22 … and have now signed a modified contract for the P550e in June 23. Best regards G.

After discofan finally left the forum here, I get more and more the impression that you seem to be applying massively for his former position. Also you prefer Knolfi had in Verg angenheit some good tips that I have appreciated! I would therefore be happy if we really all come together again on a factual level and use the forum for what it is.

  • Where does the socket draw its electricity from hybrid models?

The new Range Rover Sport offers as an option a 220v socket in the rear. Where does the can get its electricity from the hybrid models (P440e, P460e, P510e, P550e)? Would it make sense if it operates on the large battery of the hybrid? I ask because I want to prepare my ordered P550e for overlanding and will use a compressor fridge that I want to connect to 220v. Alternatively, I could also use it via di e 12v sockets. There, however, I suspect that the starter battery must be delivered.. Does anyone use this configuration? Thank you for your help.

  • Preheating does not work

Hello, I have a disco sport since December 2017. Unfortunately, the heater (no retrofitting!) has not worked as desired yet. I have already claimed several times at the workshop and there were ” ” also various tests carried out. The statement was so far always ” “. As a possible cause it was always pointed out that it is probably because the battery voltage is not enough. I should drive further distances around the battery the day before My note that the heating starts and runs (which would not be the case with a weak battery) and no error messages appear (battery / fuel check) was ignored. I had already in the last years several vehicles with heaters from different manufacturers (both with retrofitted as well as factory installed stand-up heating) and all worked without problems (with identical daily distances as with the disc) o sport). Are there similar experiences with the heater at the LR Disco Sport? I would be very grateful for hints and tips! Greetings, whw109

  • Engine Damage Discovery 5

Hello , I am for the first time in this forum. I have been driving Land Rover for years, partly privately as well as commercially (overpassing of vintage cars and sports cars) in the closed trailer . According to Range Rover Supercharged, Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and for 3 years Disco 5. At the 4 I already had 2 engine damages with almost identical mileage after each 225,000km . The same now and in January at the Disco 5 ( the same engine 3.0 TD V6, engine identification 306dt. , PSA aggregate ) At the 4 I have with a used, little running AT aggregate. At the moment I stand before the decision to install an AT aggregate again or to have the engine overhauled. Since I was often in England in last time and there the LR vehicle level is above average high, I researched a little and the range of engines, as well as companies specialized in repairing the problem engine far higher than in our fields. My question: Has someone experienced with an English workshop for engine repair or with the company Monkey Motoren in Venlo – the only workshop I found in – well almost Germany. Thank you in advance for your answers. Christian
