So far we have driven Audi SQ5 but from this short-lived, faceless SUV unit porridge I would like to leave. I had the old Defender that I still liked before, but honestly was too annoying in everyday life and long distance. The new one is exactly what we want, but with steel rims to East Block LADA-like and with the SUV rims to SUV-like what I don’t want exactly at the Defender. Now I have these two-part (exchangeable protective ring) AT rims https://www .youtube.com/watch?v=rAg5Ffb96g4 done! Are already configured mentally. This is what our Defender has to look like. But question: Which tyre size should I take best at 20 inches? And which tyre manufacturers? Do you think AT all-year tyres are now usable or still too bad at snow?

Which one do I need?
Hello, am currently looking for an off-road vehicle…but which model would be suitable? The car is not for long distances, but rather as a transporter for various smaller agricultural machines (rare mowers, milling machines etc.). In addition, the harvest of a spreading orchard (hanging) should be collected (access only via forest path/forest path). In addition, the car should offer so much everyday suitability that it does not rain in through a canvas tarpaulin and also trips to In addition, the car must of course be stable and durable and should not cost a fortune. I have now, in ignorance of the history and model range of the company Landrover, selected two models, which could represent the two extremes so to speak. On the one hand, this would be a freelander from about 2002 and on the other a Defender model 110. Both as gasoline. I guess that I might be 3000-5000km p ro year driving. I have no problem driving around with a fast-oldtimer, but of course this should not coincide already… What should I pay attention to with the models ? Which engines should be avoided ? Or are there possibly better suitable models ?

Landys in the MT Forum – Sign up!
I thought that a compilation of all vehicles involved in the MT Land Rover Forum with mileage and possible problems – similar to the Volvo forums (bsp ) – would be exciting and useful. So if you want to, you can post your km-stand and any problems according to the following pattern. This information is transferred to a list, which is regularly published here in the forum or updated. So here (m)an example: Year of construction*: 1989Model*: Range Rover Classic SeIMotor*: 3.9 V8Kilometer*: 213’000kmProblems: New steering gear with 205’000km of data with a * should be specified, otherwise the thing somehow has no meaning… I look forward to your entries! Greetings AdrianThe list is intended exclusively for members of MOTOR-TALK.de!

Car purchase Velar p389
Hello together,I want to get a PS strong Velar and that is the p380 petrol. I have now asked a bit and found out that the production of the p380 was stopped because of a high co2 output. My question is, what is the risk or. What is the disadvantage when I buy the p380 used. Do I get the car sold well after 3-5 years without a high loss? Are there any other disadvantages? What happens when euro7 comes?

Defender Mule in Schwäbisch Hall
Hello, I thought when today I passed my property two times this Defender at pace. First towards the forest, after about 30 minutes back. I have the pictures from the WEB, but it looked exactly like this – also with English plates. Who knows where I live also knows that after my property nothing comes anymore except a very steep gravel road through the forest into the Kochertal… intention, or is the NAVI just as bad as at the RRE ? n also not to function, the driver was eager to phone with cell phone at the ear looked quite trunky and it definitely buzzed a 6-ender under the hood. Greeting Daniel

Keyless Go doesn’t work sporadically on the RRS
Own thread, because I don’t think this has anything to do with the facelift. With my new RRS the “Keyless Go” doesn’t work sporadically. A first repair attempt by the dealer did not bring any remedy (no wonder – with a sporadic problem). I could already narrow the problem a little bit: Sometimes you come to the car and can cover the door handle and/or shake it: the car simply doesn’t open. If you take the key out of the pocket of your pants and d stops near the door handle, everything goes smoothly. So the key (or the receiver?) works already; but has a very low range. (No, I changed the battery; both keys are the same). It’s striking when it’s just going and then you lock the car and it’s standing for a few hours, it won’t work the next time. But if you lock it up with the remote control, it’ll be easy again. As long as the car is standing longer again. This thesis doesn’t fit in with the fact that you can’t lock “keyless” at times. It was open before then. Go around again if you take the key out of your pocket and bring it up to the height of the door lock. (No, neither my wife nor I are small-sized). Any clever idea that I could give to the dealer when he picks up the vehicle next week at my behest? (Phase 4 update was b) Fred.

Online Media Velar new update – configuration?
Hello Together, someone has already got the new software update here, where they now have new online media? Here you can now use TuneIn and Deezer directly via the mobile connection from the car. I just don’t get my accounts linked. The computer says I should link this in the live account, but there are no settings? Has anyone managed this, if yes how? Greetings

Experience with the new V6 turbodiesel – please post here
Moin. The technical data of the new V6 turbodiesel with 245hp are interesting to read – I’m interested in how satisfied the drivers of this new engine are. I can’t compare with the old 2.7 liter turbodiesel, maybe the other user can here. Perhaps even the comparison with the “old” TDV8 is worth it, which, contrary to some rumors, is still offered for the Range Rover Sport. I am excited whether Land Rover also the right Range Rover will buy the six-cylinder TD. In return, however, the TDV8 which is now lagging behind in all comparisons would have to be significantly refreshed and given this more performance.

Freelander lost cooling water and went out all the time – Workshop wants 4000 Euro – Are you threatening to rip off here?
Hello, my parents have a little problem with their freelander. At some point the Freely didn’t start to lose any cooling water visibly. So after a few km of driving everything was cool water gone and the Freely went out. You had to tip back several times during the ride. In between there were phases there were a couple of days well, but now in the last days he went out every few meters and you had to tilt. In addition we noticed that a kind of “knock/kacker” comes out of the engine, and the oil z We tapped directly on the cylinder head gasket and brought the car to a workshop. They wanted to disassemble the engine immediately and look at it. Today we get the call that the piston valves have knocked out (or so similar), the cooling water in the engine disappears, therefore a replacement engine should enter, and we should adjust to 4000 euros !!!. Do you hold this for realistic or we will be pulled over the table. My father w should give already the OK for the Reperatur, however, I wanted to ask again here. Thank you already dear Julie

Advance payment New car order
Hello dear LR friends, I wanted to name myself since today also LR owner (no, but at least -holder). I say actually, because at the conclusion of the contract negotiation for a new Freelander – order vehicle – the dealer pointed out that in his AH a deposit of 15 % of the purchase amount is due. However, this is not transferred to the dealer account, but to a specially established account as security for the seller (in the real estate store). f this corresponds to a notary’s account). It is a local large LR dealer in Berlin, not an Internet salesman. I am LR newcomer and wanted to ask you if someone – especially in Berlin – has already had such experience with new car orders. For me this practice is unusual – even if I can understand the reasoning of the AH. Thank you very much for your help, Jens
