Hello all, I am looking for a Land Rover Discovery 4 or alternatively a Range Rover. I would like to use the vehicle for my daily work path (25 km easy distance) as well as for longer trips with the family (up to 450 km at a time). In addition, it should be able to pull a 3-ton trailer a few times a year. Especially important to me is: – Lots of equipment (e.g. leather seats, sliding roof, Navi etc.) – mileage of a maximum of about 130,000 km – reliability I would be very happy about recommendations or experiences with these models! Is there something special that I should pay attention to when buying? So far I have not been/have not yet been based at LandRover. However, I already had some vehicles from Mercedes, Audi, VW. Hello, I bought an Evoque 2.0 TD4 4×4 110kw-150hp BJ2017 about half a year ago. The first car I could afford to see something the same way! What I noticed when I admitted the things from my old car to the new one was that the Evoque wrote to me “please start the engine battery weak” good I am a lot driver so no thing… However, after a few days I noticed that he was from the 2nd to the 3rd gear at medium speed (approx.2700-3000u/min) u After some time it started from 4 to 5. And now at the cold temperatures (1-2 cred) it has a problem to close the converter in the morning, so I drive about 500 meters only over the converter (it switches but) only after a short stop after approx.500 meters drive the converter makes again normal. Then I had the transmission oil change 3.5 of approx.6 liters. (rest is in the converter) That has the rough insert n the gears a bit improved but not completely eliminated. And the converters problems with the cold start are still there. Can someone help me further? Can this be due to the battery collapsed 6 months ago? Or is there something broken? Lg Georg

Hello, after many years BMW I changed to the Volvo XC60 2 years ago (significantly better leasing conditions). Now I want to drive a 6cylinder again and look for a successor for the Volvo. Unfortunately BMW (x3 30d or 40d) is in the conditions underground and so I am by chance on the Velar D300 hits, which I like very much. Now I read again and again about engine problems. How bad is the topic? I want to avoid standing in the workshop every few weeks. there are other problems with the vehicles? Leasing would be planned 36/15-20tkm p.a. and that should go without engine damage or bigger problems ?? g Peter

I plan to buy a young Discovery Sport – preferably with seven seats, but this is not easy to find on reasonable terms. That’s why I also have a few 5-seaters in mind. Here I wonder, however, how the whole thing works with three children. I currently have two children (3 and 1 years), number three is in planning. So perspective would be a use of the DS with two child seats outside and a seat increase in the narrower center. The trunk would be big enough in any case.

Day together! I’m new here in the LandRover department… otherwise almost all brands have been driven. Think now, as a “third-party car” to buy an older Range Rover (so to buy the 1998-2005, or better to say, as much as possible under €10,000), but have no great experience with the brand. I mean the very thick, not the “sport”. My (absolutely NOT professional) impression, as far as the brand is concerned and I have heard so, is: – quite early super quality, reliable and durable – jet zt recently great design, just like Jaguar, but just Tata quality (somewhat exaggerated) – in between many highs and lows and big differences depending on model and year of construction Therefore my question: What would you recommend (construction time/model, engine) if you are looking for longevity and reliability above all? Use: about 1 times a month to the horse tournament (right big trailer), maybe once a year on holiday (because unpaved roads in the area in Italy), as well as if necessary replacement driving fences g Everyday life, i.e. under 10,000 KM/year. The topic of tax/diesel/driving bans is not an issue for me, because I live abroad. I am aware of the topic of consumption with V8 petrol with trailer, it is much more about which model and engine are the most unproblematic. Is it actually a coincidence that in any series around the 2000 turn many elements of the RangeRover damn like the then 5 BMW?? Hi guys, so far I only read along. I wanted to share my experiences with you about my new RR Autobiography which I have been driving for 5 weeks now. I have experienced many problems of other authors here and will address some of the topics below. I previously drove SQ5. Driving behaviour: Unlike the Audi, the RR is driving like a ship. However, comfortable and just as I wanted it to be. Not so sporty but extremely comfortable. General workmanship: 99% I am The only thing I’ve noticed so far as being “cheap” is those the pedals and the snap-in devices of the rear seat (cheap rubber stacked on the panel – already torn out at the first up and down of the rear seats. Infotainment: ALL works perfectly. Bluetooth, apps, USB, HDMI, Navi, cameras etc. etc. Responsiveness is good (Audi was however faster) and also the left control element of the steering wheel works without any problems. Rassistenz: Track keeping assistant too jerky in my opinion. Shield recognition TOP. Spacers also very good. These are just my first comments. If you have specific questions, always come up with it. I am generally very satisfied.

Hello dear forum members, two weeks ago we got our Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.0l TD4 110 kW automatic SE Dynamic and are also completely satisfied. But – I am a little surprised about the consumption, which is currently still at 10-11l and therefore clearly differs from the dealer data. Also on the highway at 100 km/h I did not get the consumption under 6-7l – Eco mode back or forth, the 4,7l are probably in a far distance. I ask myself now, whether the consumption values have been so embellished, or whether the car simply has to drive in to get close to the paper values. At the moment we have 200km on the clock. Basically I have no problem with these consumption values – you don’t drive a smart – but I would still like to have a logical explanation for the conscience and therefore ask once in the round whether someone registered similar deviations. The new four-cylinder Ingenium gasoline and diesel for the RRE and Disco Sport will be available from the 2018 model year. The gasoline engine comes in two power expansion stages, one with the well-known 240 hp and one with 290 hp. The Ingenium diesel, known from the RRS, comes with 240 hp. KLICK Thus, the power range of the two smallest model series is upgraded upwards.

Hello, drive a RRSport 3.0 SDV6 Dynamic and have from the first day strong wind/driving noise during tunnel rides. No matter which surface or speed – hardly comes back the sound pressure from above, it sounds as if the sunroof is open. But have none! ;o) I have the complaint with the dealer (he shrugged at every tunnel entrance properly at the test ride, his look rushed to the sky), now I get after alleged tests (column dimensions controlled, Sou ndfiles created etc.) lapidar reported that this is due to serial production and no shortage. Can’t believe it! You can’t entertain yourself in the tunnel normally (further) or make phone calls etc. Does any of you have similar experience out there? “derived” everything is good? Supposedly, the car is one thing that “sets standards in terms of comfort…” The co-ordered roof rail was put on by the dealer (normal) – can that have done something wrong, so e.g. insulation mat damaged, plugs forgotten o.ä.? Have the friendly Brits possibly forgotten the insulation mat in the roof? How could I check it? (my dealer is unfortunately not very cooperative, see above) Thank you for your reviews!

Hello, plan an SUV for me at the end of this year. You can choose from: – BMW X5 – BMW X6 – maybe the new X3 – or as the only not BMW vehicle a Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6. About BMW leasing offers you can find all kinds of on the internet as well as here forum. In addition, I have already talked with my BMW salesman. But now I tend very strongly to the RRS and my next LR dealer is 50 km away. Will look there in the next weeks. But in order to I wanted to ask you about your leasing terms? I thought about the list price about 80000,- € at 36 months/20000km p.a./0,- deposit Thank you very much. Muhaha
