  • Is there a new small engine in the MX-5?

    Hello! I find the current MX-5 with the 1.8l engine really very interesting; however, the – for this performance – heavy consumption (yes, it is a fun car, consumption doesn’t matter, buy you a 3l-lupo, greenhouse effect I like, I save myself the sun studio and the winter tires, blablabla …). This can be better the competition (see Mini Cooper; bigger front surface, only a little lower power (120 hp), also revolving, 5.8 l SP, at Super halt a little more). Improvement in sight? The consumption values seem rather weak (7.3l Super). I’m going to cover Matthias now.

    Hello,suche einem Mazda mx5 haben schon zwei in Aussicht,der einem ist von Bj.90 hat 105000km gelaufen but has a new engine with 38000km running power.Coupling ,Zahntriebel,Wasserpumpe neu.Has Borbet VA 9×16 HA 10×16 Lowering roll-over iron sports exhaust and a lot more. It should cost VB 4450 EURO.The other in Rover blue painted is from Bj.91 and has run 132000km,has Brock rims with 215 tyres and a lot more.What do you think of the cars. Greeting Jörg

  • Is the bill OK?

    hello people…… today I got my estimate, for my mazda mx5 nb 1,9l-10th anni, bookcase maintained with 125tkm, which stood 5 years in a garage. it is supposed to cost 1200,- euro… is composed as follows: inspection: oils, new wipers, spark plugs, oil filters….even small things, there was nothing bigger on the engine………for 340,- then the complete brake discs back udn front + all are lying. because the man said that they are so rusty that it did not stop with the time It’s 600,- euro for all the fun, 450,- for discs and covers….. then the small triangular window has to be renewed, which is supposed to cost 250,-, with sealing…. then he wanted to renew the tooth strap for 400, but I think that’s unnecessary. because as far as I know, this was part of the 100tkm inspection that cost 650. that is, the tooth strap would be 6 years old and would have 30tkm on the bukel….should still hold or? on the whole I wanted to know if the prices go so ok. especially the brake discs seem very expensive to me. because I found a complete set of brake discs with covering for me for 150!! at IL-motorsport. only the person from the place did not want to install such a thing, because he can not take a guarantee for it and he thinks that it would be nothing….was of course annoying……what do you think about it? thank you for your help…. l g

  • MX-5 or Fiat 500Cabrio as a fun car?

    Hello, looking for a fun car to my limousine in all cases I landed (for cost reasons) at the MX-5 or 500C. I already tested the 500 and that really convinced me. I would like to test the MX-5, but did not work so far. Pro 500C : 4 places, comfortable, economical (must be as 1.2 petrol with 5.5 l/100km), slightly cheaper in maintenance, cheaper in purchase (approx. 16.000.- against 21,000.- at the Mazda (new vehicles). every 2 years maintenance with oil change (at the MX-5 annually). I can move both vehicles under 100.- Euro/month 6000 km a year, I just don’t expect the loss of value, after all, only becomes effective when sold and maybe I don’t sell the car anymore. Pro MX-5: more sporty (a little uncomfortable), real roadster feeling, 5 years warranty. Would I be pleased if opinions are expressed that help me to make the decision. ciao olderich

  • MX5 NB – Circuit Scratches…

    Hello everybody, with my MX5 NB Miracle, year 2000 (6-speed) the circuit is a bit “happy” i.e. when I switch in, I hear the gears snap in. When switching in the reverse gear I sometimes have to insert a different gear before. Can this also be due to the clutch? It has not yet been changed (140tsd km run). I would be very grateful for an info.

  • Buy Mazda “2” 3-door – your experiences?

    Hello, my wife actually wanted to have a Swift 1300 3door, but this thought is now “history”. She has now reoriented to the mazda 2 “Independence”. I tend to be more like a Mitsubishi Colt 3door 1.3 Inform, but you like the Mazda 2 better and price-wise they are also quite close together.
