So, my MX5 NA 90PS Bj.95 has just rushed through the TÜV with timpani and trumpets. The most important points: – At the AU the CO2 value went straight through the ceiling, far away from Gut&Böse. Tips for troubleshooting, there are with the NA any usual suspects (lambda probe, CAT) which are most likely the culprits? Who can diagnose this exactly (repair should not be done in the workshop, AU after repair at the TÜV there included in the inspection fee)? r replacement? – Thresholds in the back, I am one of those who didn’t know that you should check the water drains of the rain channel regularly and break them free. Is there any repair plates for this area or only complete sleepers? The TÜV would already be satisfied with its own statement with a blared sheet metal, but I would prefer to use a fitting piece. Further question that has nothing to do with the TÜV: At ~120tkm(?) the timing belt was changed. a problem (which was probably constructive in this year of construction) which made it necessary to stick on one of the timing belt wheels. The workshop’s former statement: A further change is now unfortunately no longer possible. The car now has 250tkm on the clock, and since it is still possible to bring the thing through the TÜV again I would consider a timing belt change. Workaround to that? Greetings & thank you very much, Toenne

MX 5 NB FL exhaust problems
Hello, I have a MX5 NB FL 2003 with 25000Km. The car is about 5 months in my possession and I noticed some time ago that the car makes a kind of re-ignition in the exhaust after driving. So about 10-30 sec after switching off comes another audible “plopp” out of the exhaust. Since I have not got the car so long, I do not know if this was always there or if that is normal. Then I drove into the workshop and asked once if they could measure the ignition coil, we 1. Is the sound normal or do I have to be afraid of my cat? 2. Bzw prefer to let the ignition coil be measured? Still for information, I have had a flapper grouse from the vicinity of the cat some time ago when I was standing at the current engine (at the traffic light). But it is gone again and it seems to have been only a heat protection sheet that has sunk in the stand. cht exclude that it was the cat who has already said goodbye Stand speed is quiet and gas is also accepted well from 4000 rpm. Also from 100km/h he does not make sluggish….can also be subjective that I don’t notice the difference…don’t have the car as said so long. So everything still speaks for an intact cat or ignition coil. mfg

Autorepair
I bought a used car at the end of 2019. The person who sold the car stated that it offers a one-year quality guarantee. I bought a semi-automatic Mazda car from 2007. My car suddenly did not put in a gear at the beginning of the month I was near my house. I found a repair shop to repair the car. The initial price was basically negotiated. Today I went to the repair shop and asked if my car did not repair who and I still need a certain amount of money to scrap the car? Should I switch to a repair shop? Before I switch to a car repair shop, I wonder if the next car repair shop can fix the problem. Do I have to pay for the current car repair shop? Can I find compensation for the sale of the car?

Ride on the Wankel Devil
Hurra hurra, our RX-8 is here. The joy is great when the nice transfer driver of a morning presents us with the dark red rice racer in front of the EVOCARS portal. Finally, in this special Mazda a very special heart beats. And that is a 1,300 cc “smaller” Wankelmotor with 231 hp (at 8,200 rpm) and 235 things top. Understandably that we were excited about our latest test candidate in the three “Fast and Furious” films. aten. On the same evening we are itchy and we go on the slopes with the 36,049 Euro expensive athlete. It is dry and the highway is empty. Best conditions to feel the winter tire sticker, which warns to a maximum of 240 things, once on the tooth. Already on the way to the highway makes us feel that we are being followed. We just won’t get rid of the thought. Behind us a Hayabusa driver makes fun of us, drives without light again and again dic It’s probably ten minutes before we realize that the infernal screeching is not a motorcycle behind us, but the Wankel devil in front of us. Too unusual is this soundscape in a car. Whoever runs the gears to the red range at 8,500 rpm, is not only in 6.4 seconds at 100 speed and in 26.5 seconds at 200, but also experiences an unexpected sound spectacle. Good, starting from 180 conversations are almost impossible, but besides the shouting, there is nothing at all to indicate the speed. 180, 200 or 230 – the RX-8 is relaxed and the suspension is just the right mixture of dry crispy and pleasant headache-friendly. And as far as the top speed … as you can see from the entry in the backstage (March 5, 2007), the speed pin is still about 1,000 revolutions away from the red area for winter tires. The cool Japse now has to prove his country road qualities. We pull ourselves back to the roads around Hamburg, avoid places and people and feel our subject’s right on the tooth. Important realization: Only those who leave the DSC switch untouched, have in tight curves and on slightly slippery Un We wish all the others good success in capturing the breaking tail with too much gas and avoiding a fancy turn. Although the curve behaviour is exemplary thanks to the optimal weight distribution of 50 to 50, the temptation to put down a perfect drift is ubiquitous and highly dangerous. Above all, the performance development of the last Wankel representative in the world, however, is the one that tears out of the seats. mms-friends should get in rapture in view of the power, which is also above 6,500 turns and causes the pilots to always new intermediate sprints. This baby wants to be kicked. Whoever keeps the needle well above 5,000, feels himself as a full-blooded car fan for the first time like a motorcycle driver. Whether this also applies to the negative acceleration, shows the 100-on-zero shocker. Three times in a row we hit the brake pedal at speed 100 on the bottom sheet, hold there the steering wheel stoically straight and hope the inside ventilated 323 brake discs in front and the 302 rear do a good job. Do it! Although it is enough after the third attempt a little strict, but the promised 42 meters are more than realistic. A little bit taken away from the brake Harakiri we look for a quiet parking space to devote ourselves to the inner values of the Mazda RX-8 special edition Revolution Reloaded. Well then we check off: Six airbags, Electronic Stabi DSC, Xenon, N Ebellampen, 18-inch, Tempomat, Leder-Alcantara-Sitze, Bose-Soundsystem, Klimaautomatik and electric window lifter. What this list conceals, however, is the ratt-geile ergonomics, which captivates us in the RX-8 cockpit. One simply divinely sits in this Wankel-Devil and the mixture of pure-bred sports car and everyday fun device is a dream. The middle armrest is extra-high, the switching knob is so short that really every man has to say “look how small it is” and the handlebar ad is fantastic in the hand. A real treat also the rev indicator – dominant in the middle with integrated and inconspicuous damn digital speedometer shows immediately where the journey in the RX-8 goes: forward! Small criticism point: The hand brake lever is a bit far away, even if looking pretty. But who needs the thing already in view of the rear drive. We understand each other! Only in the back – well, you can’t sit there. At most a ten-minute trip to the poker night leaves sic h survive here. Longer distances only last the four 12-year-olds who stole the car to make a nice one on thick pants. Yes, to specify works fine with the RX-8. The opening of the rear doors at the rear makes an impression. And only the fat wheel houses, in which the 18-inch looks even more huge – fantastic! Continues with a arched bonnet, beasty slit headlights and a crispy short brush with double exhaust. That likes. Similar Only the first Audi TT stands out from the mass of the unit breis in the coupés. But where there is light, there is also shadow. Only a real criticism of the otherwise impeccable and cult-suspicious exception coupès: consumption. Ok, ok, the Mazda technicians have abandoned the abnormal drinking habits of their predecessor RX-7 to the current wankler, but the new edition has not changed to ascetic. With 11.2 liters Super, the zoomers give the fuel consumption in a third mix. This value may be real. However, only for those who have control over themselves and their gas foot and who do not hold anything from shrill speeding out and high-speed orgies anyway. During the time in the EVOCARS editorial department, the project never approved less than 15.44 liters. However, with hours of highway hatz with ground-on-blech strategy, almost 21 liters were also due.Our opinion on the Mazda RX-8 with 231 hp: The thing is cool and becomes cult!Betting!?http://www.evo-cars.de/fahrberichte/b53531 198f1135413f9.jpghttp://www.evo-cars.de/driving reports/b53531198f113594400.jpghttp://www.evo-cars.de/driving reports/b53531198f1135f1410.jpghttp://www.evo-cars.de/driving reports/b53531198f1135f1419.jpg http://www.evo-cars.de/driving reports/b53531198f1135944011.jpg

MX-5 Beginners car?
Hello I have a question. Since December I have my driver’s license now and will finally be 18 in March, that means I can drive by myself! I am looking forward to it very moderately, because I really like totaL driving. A good friend of mine, is a total Mx-5 freak. And he totally infected me with it. My father even said that he could imagine a small Mx-5 for me. Of course I liked this idea very much. My parents are now making themselves And I/we’re also thinking about whether an Mx-5 is the right car for me. I have the dream of driving an Mx-5 once. What do you think? My good friend didn’t advise me about it… Well, I would really be very happy about your answers! Oh yes, it’s definitely for me that I need a car of my own…others it’s not possible! Thank you very much.

Mazda 323 F, leaking oil loss, valve ducts?
Hi, who can help me? My Mazda 323F BA (bj. 94) has been losing a lot of oil for some time. After long standing (e.g. overnight) a grey smoke cloud blows out after start. The first workshop did a compression test, everything was fine. Cause not found, possibly engine damage. The second workshop carried out a pressure loss measurement – all right. They type on leaky valve shaft guides and repair costs of approx. 400 to 500 euros, but without guarantee. At most, a crack in the piston ring, which would only turn out afterwards. Have offered me a new car, payment of the old Mazda (2,000,– Euro). What to think about it? Would actually my old car still like to drive two to three years (currently 144,000 km). Note: Since inspection (556 Euro) at ATU in Oct. 94 (dental belt, tensioning roller and pulleys.) repeatedly problems. I have the feeling that it was not worked professionally. But, Anyway, what kind of advice do you have for me? Thank you in advance. Greeting jeanny

New varnish totally dull
Hello people, after hours of reading the various articles on the paint care here in the forum, I am unfortunately still not smarter. With my Mazda 6 new car titan-grey the paint is unfortunately a total cramp. Lacquer strength totally low. Clear varnish therefore also. After the car was waxed now after the new purchase in December to the 2nd X the paint is still totally dull afterwards. If I drive over the smooth surfaces after the growth with the hand, one thinks it is a Schmirgel. So n The prof. conditioner, who had waxed the car the first time, thought it was one of the worst varnishes he would have ever had in his finger. Unfortunately, this also meant the paintr. Unfortunately, the bonnet has also been repainted to all abundance. Probably because the car got a paint error during transport. Then it has become a different colour. The hood is the only thing with a nice clear varnish, because it is The only thing that’s mirrored on the box. After working on the car with SONAX Extreme Wax 1, I’m still totally unhappy. I just didn’t want to believe that it’s so scrapy. Unfortunately, I’m not the only one with the Mazda 6. They seem to be more or less all like that. So, now my question. How can I get the paint off the pretty shiny and smooth sideways. I don’t want to go there with polish, because it’s still a new car. there are 1,000 of described products, from nano-sealing to DITEC, Swizöl etc. I don’t want to spend 400 euros again and then it’s still scrapped. What do you mean??? How do I get the clear varnish filled/smoothed? Since you save years on a car and then this crap. Comment Mazda. State of the art. Thank you. hotknife
