The automatic Our 4-year-old car totally failed in the middle of the intersection. God-sei-thanks not on the 10 minutes later planned highway. How do we now have to deal with the company Merzedes. Any experiences? Thank you

Decommissioning
Hi guys, unfortunately I don’t find a cross-brand thread, so here’s the question. Since I wanted the new e-class and my ML was not extended until April, I bought a winter car. It’s a Subaru Justy with all-wheel year 93. Tüv until November 2009 and knarzt and squeaking and rusting (but runs great – great car for 550€). I bought it in August and immediately changed it (19 August 2008). When my ML went back to the factory I switched 🙂 the scrapping premium from 30 March it is possible to submit the application, if you have a purchase contract, even if the car is delivered/registered later. I currently plan to configure a new car (as I or my partner wants it), the dealer orders it and I take it as a demonstration car on 1 September (3 months old, 5000-6000km). The dealer has already given his OK. What he did not know, however, if all the requirements are met during the application t must be and only the registration can be made later (justy is only registered on 19.08.2009 a year on me) or whether it is enough if all the conditions are met when the vehicle is registered at the end of August (then the scrapping premium is paid). Is a bit complicated, but I hope that it is understandable. For me, www.bafa.de reads as if all the criteria have to be met only when the new car is registered. Thank you

Customer service or rip-off at Mercedes?
I just want to let off a little “steam” on this way and am curious about how the experiences of the other Mercedes drivers are. In December 08 I bought a B-Class as an annual car at the used car center Frankfurt/Offenbach (EZ 06/2008) and find the car simply great! Last week, however, my opinion about the vehicle and MB was generally strongly clouded. I had taken over the car 1 week from Christmas and when picking up from habit according to the operating fluidity The seller assured me that of course everything was fine. Oil, cooling water and glass washing liquid were filled up and provided with antifreeze protection. In the days after that I used the windscreen washing system a few times and filled up pure antifreeze at the end of the year. In January I could not use the washing nozzle of the rear window anymore and drove to my contract workshop (RKG in Bornheim-Hersel) at the beginning of February. kstattmeister said that the hose from the detergent container to the rear window had not only been frozen, but had burst through the frost in several places. The replacement of this hose was so expensive that the workshop “culantly” flat-rated the costs at EUR 500. With material and VAT I now have an invoice of EUR 660,- “at the cheek”. All this only because obviously a) in the MB used car center was not filled enough frost protection b) Installation and ma (c) my contract workshop has fried up unnecessary time. Questions with dealers and with the customer service of MB gave the same sad picture: 1.) Operating fluids are not covered by the warranty! 2.) At temperatures below minus 10 degrees every driver must take care of himself! 3.) Kulanz??? What is this? Conclusion: If you buy a car at Mercedes in winter (and it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s new, annual) After leaving the shop, go to a workshop and have everything checked. There could be too little or no frost protection in it. Cooling water, engine oil, acid level of the battery are also all operating fluids with which Mercedes has nothing to do after the sale.

Spare parts – current car picture – opinions
I read Bernd Volkens’ latest car picture on the subject of spare parts. Unfortunately, the whole thing was more of an advertisement for Wulf Gärtner or MEYLE spare parts. Little objective and not marked as an ad. In addition, there were no objective measurement data for comparison. In this he also refers to this forum. The only real and probably not paid contribution. Sad. Auto picture writes what the payer wants – without checking the facts exactly. Unfortunately I have had bad experiences. The carrying joints change the accustics and make for hums. The lifespan helps me little if I make my BMW into a noise box. It is particularly noticeable with articulated discs. They were already over after less than 10,000 kilometers. The original ones of BMW hold 200,000! What better? I would be interested in what you have experienced there. Certainly Meyle will be here again. Positive post, but the real screwdriver opinions would interest me. Which parts (except original parts) were still good with you. For example, I rely on ZF or Lemförder. Greeting, Dieter

Why doesn’t Mercedes come up with the idea of “sports car with turbo diesel”?
Hello together! Let’s ask a question that has occupied me for years, I thought about years ago, if it doesn’t make sense to build a sports car with turbodiesel. Audi unfortunately makes the pioneer in this case, builds an R8 with V12-TCDI and a car TT with 2.0 TDCI with 177 hp. Turbodiesel are now so powerful, and economical that it makes sense, especially at more than 20 000 km a year, to offer it as an option. I find it kind of sad that Mercedes-Benz as a V ater of the diesel has not even thought about it. Basically you could offer a turbodiesel in every car, the base is always the same anyway, like e.g. CLK and C-Class, etc… Greetings, Thilo

Extremely poor service at Mercedes
Now I really have to complain about the service at Mercedes Benz… I have already had several experiences with Ford, Opel, VW and MB. And I have to clearly find out that the workshop service, but also the online customer service in particular, is extremely bad. You can learn about the special experiences in my last posts too. MB’s online customer service creates pretty much all records. At Opel, Ford and VW I have always had very good results so far. The results were always very helpful. For example, Opel even sent a € 50 voucher for some inconveniences. At MB it always took a very long time to answer at all – for the last time three and a half (!) months. One then apologized briefly – I answered whether this would be a joke. Furthermore, the answers are always completely in h The differences to Ford, Opel and VW, for example, are really tough. If I gave them a score between 1 and 2, MB would end up at 6. So, I just had to get rid of that. Greetings Michael
