    Hello guys! I’ve got to buy a JCW. I drove a Cooper S sample the other day and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the S drove.I would be interested if the JCW behaves similarly comfortable and if someone has experiences with a JCW on 18 inches.

  • Cannot start engine

    Hello, our MX 5 Bj.2000 with the 1.6 liter engine no longer starts. It was not moved for 4 months now, before it ran perfectly. The battery is completely empty. Also bridge does not help. Where should I look first? Don’t know me by car. I am grateful for any advice. Greeting M.

    Good evening! I apologize in advance, if the text is a little longer, but I am VERY grateful for the answers! I am 19 years old from tomorrow and trained car salesman in the first year of my apprenticeship and therefore have no technical knowledge and experience, but would very much like to acquire some, because it is my dream to work as a hobby on my own car. Since I have been enthusiastic about the MX-5 of the first generation for a long time, I have decided now to Whether my decision is reasonable or unreasonable, let’s put it that way. What I wanted to ask, however, is whether it is even possible to buy a initially carelessly mobile MX-5 NA for a maximum of €3,000, without falling into a cost trap. I had a MX-5 NA in which I was potentially interested (2,90€) at our company on stage to have a workshop master look over it. It turned out that the fresh “TÜVV” ” probably had to have been approved via questionable connections, since the car could never have been given serious TÜV and needed some repairs in order to be safe on the road (workshop master spoke of defective coupling rods, porous brake hoses, various seals which would have to be changed urgently, a strongly damp engine block, light rust on the badly repainted sleepers, presumably remains of the catalyst in the rattled exhaust tank This really showed me what all the costs could be if you would buy a NA without any idea and blind. Nevertheless, on Saturday I have 2 viewing appointments and no expert to take away. The one is red with fabric seats (looks so far ok), has a repaired accident damage, but TÜV until 08/2020, the other is british racing green, has a well-preserved beige leather equipment, no TÜV and the clutch is at the wear limit, but a new timing belt and both are at first sight really good for the pictures (the green one is even better than the red one, each about 3,000€ and about 160,000 km on the clock). Wouldn’t like to bother at all now with further details and stories, but wanted to ask if I can roughly determine whether I’m being fooled, or if the purchase of one of the mentioned MX-5 is worthwhile, without already private insolvency anme What do I have to pay special attention to, apart from the typical rust on the thresholdrs and wheel runs (both of which are supposedly free…)?     Hello together I hope that I can be helped here. And this is about my MX5 NB 1998 My problem: Everything went Tip Top up to that day when I started my NB and it rolled forwards despite the kicked clutch… then I realized that the gears did not go in anymore. My first thought engine from engine again and it still did nothing:'( Then after eternal back and forth I found the gears as soon as I turned off the engine without any problem e went in. What could that be?? I’m already thinking about selling him what I really want to avoid… What you might still know: My friend managed to drive the car to me, however, he said it was really tedious.. I am grateful for every advice.

  • Water temperature sensor??

    Hello guys! I’m actually from the Mercedes forum, but 2 years ago I actually bought a 323er as a winter car. Since he liked me so much, I had him set up and she drives him now. First I thought it was a detonator, and I changed distributor cap & fingers, ignition cables & candles, unfortunately without success It’s now even so annoying as if you were riding a wild bull! I’ve read that it’s either the dealer for the water temp., the ignition coil or ignition distributor can be. Is it true that? Where can I find the water temperature sensor & how do I check it? What do you think it might be? Now she wanted to drive the long weekend to Croatia! What do you think / can stay with the car so far?

This makes it about since 2-3weeks. If on the display there is nothing to see, but I turn on the ventilation control to either turn up the ventilation or the air conditioning again I have to say again that this work is done again, but I can’t see anything that I can get out of the air, but also the whole thing.

  • Mazda 6 GY 2.0 petrol engine starts badly

    Hello together, my Mazda 6 GY 2.0 petrol bj. 2002 with 141hp starts badly. Specifically: No matter what temperature, it always needs 4-7 revolutions until it starts, but then reliable. The battery is not yet old and both charged, as well as fine, because it is not. I have noticed with another vehicle that the ECU calculates the OT position itself, if the camshaft sensor is defective and therefore the start process lasts longer.   • Mazda 6 Limousine 2014 (cold start, engine light, white smoke from the exhaust)

    Hello ! This morning I started the car and waited for a short moment until the speed was no longer high. All of a sudden the engine control light turns on and the speed goes back to 2,000-2,500 + I noticed a strong rise of white smoke from the exhaust. I switched off the car and started again and the problem was gone, I could drive to work without any problems. Now I want to know why this could happen, I experienced this for the first time and I can’t explain it to myself. (The car was standing obliquely and I was dressed in neutral with the handbrake) Thanks for your help LG Nikola
