Hello together, I’m new, exactly, but that shouldn’t suffer from the kindness and helpfulness of old-time user So, my “problem”: I came across a Mini Cooper S looking for a new used car. I realize that you buy a mini to have great driving pleasure. However, since I am neither a doctor nor professor nor managing director, I also have to look at the money, both at the purchase as well as at the monthly costs. My search b a regional car dealer gave a Mini Cooper S, year 2002. Price is ok. Now only my questions are: Do I lie in the right frame with the fuel consumption at about. 11l/100km approximately? Driving city and highway equal much. What about the wear with an 8 year old Mini Cooper S? I don’t want to sit in the workshop all the time My consideration is to lower the fuel costs, to have a car gas system (LPG) installed. If you would advise me to upgrade to autogas at the age or see this as a complete misinvestment. I am very grateful to you for your experiences, opinions and help. Sincerely, Llehsif

Leasing Clubman John Cooper Works
Hello to the mini-forum, so far I have driven around in the BMW-forum, but on the occasion I have now (and hopefully continue) landed with you. After the leasing contract of my BMW 123d expires soon and I am acutely infecting myself with the mini-virus I would be interested in your opinion about the leasing contract offered to me. Please check that I don’t have the exact data at hand right now, but I try to remember as well: The object of the Desire: Mini Clubman Cooper S John Cooper Works annual car first registration mid 2009 15,000km Equipment package Chili rain sensor and interior mirror autom. blinding leather carbon lounge black voice input system air conditioning automatic sunroof seat heating driver/passenger seat sport seats comfort access Hifi system USB port Bluetooth Navi Professional and more I just can’t remember. Leasing was offered to me (24 months, 20 tkm/year) for 370 EUR gross, without leasing special payment. It seems as if this is a good offer and I am looking forward to your opinions. To be honest, I am close to admitting gaaaaanz.

My 2nd Works got caught today too
Today, on the A81 towards Stuttgart, an underexposed transporter driver ( craftsman ) meant to have to push me and my mini off the road. That one is skipped without blinking at 90 degrees angle is already normal, but that one who drives to the right at almost the same height next to one, sets the turn signal and pulls over at the same moment to the left, without having a chance to react is new to me, and before questions come, yes he has seen me and d I was not in his blind spot. But for that I immediately reported the full post to the colleagues in Green because of coercion. At least he stood the same. I estimate the damage to about 5,000,– Euro. Markus

Cooper8x18″ rims
Hello to all members ! I ordered a Cooper yesterday, which I would like to upgrade with 8×18 inch and 215/35-18 tyres and a H+R lowering (30mm). I have already looked for in the forum but not found suitable, regarding problems ( fenders). It would be great if I would get an info if the wheels fit under the fenders easily. I am already very hot and looking forward to the car. Greeting

Central locking fault
My MINI Cooper class 11-2007 has a bad Macke with the central locking: 1. Vehicle can sometimes be closed with the remote control and then arbitrarily opens itself or both windows go down. 2. Sometimes the vehicle can’t be locked at all. That means it closes and opens again at the same moment. 3. Or the vehicle is in “normal” condition and can be closed and closed up. 4. When I then drive by car, then I hear from u What has already been done: After a first fault analysis in the MINI garage you have uploaded a completely new system (system update). (during about 12 hours in the garage attached) This has created a remedy for about a month. But now the fault has occurred again. HELP! JEMAND KNEW THE PROBLEM AND CAN YOU TAKE A TIP?

Criticism of a new entrant
Hello, I have recently had the opportunity to drive a new Cooper S several times. The structural advantages and disadvantages of this vehicle are well known. What is very surprising, however, is the rest comfort despite the sporty suspension tuning and 17 inch tires. Also the workmanship is very annoying, however, I find the lack of traction and the bad straight-out run, i.e. pulling in the steering when accelerating in the lower gear stages, as also the instal helps The optional locking differential did not or only very little and on the Fz is definitely not a defect. Please do not react in style my Mini One does not do that at all, I am speaking here alone of the Cooper S. This can be much better with Audi/VW in similar performance levels. I hope that I do not trigger a wave of indignation now, but also a good product has to endure criticism. However, for me it is incomprehensible the fact that this tattery driving behaviour i n the German trade journals are only mentioned on the margins or not at all. Nevertheless, don’t let the fun spoil you from an older gentleman who looks back on a long successful racing driver career on fast URminis. Mfg Guy

Windscreen wipers
Hello dear ones, need your advice again today. I have noticed in recent times that my windscreen wipers suffer very much from my mini. Do not want to replace these now with wipers that exist in the normal trade. As it looks, there are still wipers of another time. My idea is to use possibly a few wider disk wipers. can someone possibly help me further. My mini is BJ 2003. For suggestions or part number I would be very grateful to you. enemaja

Aux entrance
Hello together, now my mini “lives” already 2 weeks with me and I like every day better. But sometimes a question to the experts resp. old rabbits regarding the Aux entrance: I have the Radio Mini Boost and just that Aux entrance (without USB). Normally I listen almost exclusively radio, rarely CD. But if you have an Ipod (shuffle) and if there is already an Aux entrance, I would use it sometimes. What do I need for a cable to connect the Ipod over the Aux entrance there. In the manual, they refer to the Mini accessory page, but I won’t really find it.

Mini – Crossover coming in May 2010
Good news – the introduction of the crossover doesn’t take so long to come. Design director Gert Hildebrand told me last night at the IAA Miniparty in Frankfurt the launch date: MAI 2010 Yeah – you can be curious about what will become market-ready from the study
