hello have read a few entries here. i want to ende august a mini cooer cabrio either as s or as works. on the one hand, is the works (equipment-adjusted it is only 3000) worth its extra value too? whereby I guess yes (completely other engine, suspension, 17″ brake system, small disihn play) and on the other, what equipment details are useful respectively unintentionally e.g. disc heating or sound system I have read a few things. it will be our 3/4t venture so that he is rather only meant to have fun (driving otherwise dilapidated bmw for long distances) a little help would be really awesome. 1000 thanks in advance, thomas

Tyre flank torn during assembly – who has to pay?
Hello, I have brought my Cooper S to the tire change to BMW. They should line me down the winter tires from the beautiful rims and mount on them the sun tires I had brought with me. The tires are from DOT 2103, but they all still have 6-7mm. At order acceptance it was all no problem. However, at the pick-up I noticed that a tire was not in the lead. Now the flank should be torn when pulling up… And here the incredible suggestion of BMW: Möglic hlichkeit 1: Change both rubbers of the rear axle again on the old winter tires, I pay only 2x tyre change. Option 2: BMW pulls me two new tires on the axle, which I have to pay with 182,-€ per piece!?! And nevertheless for four tires the change should pay…? In my opinion, the workshop has to pay for the damage, right?

My new John Cooper Works
Yesterday it was so far and my 2nd Works was ready for pick-up at the friendly one. Unfortunately the effect of the car on the pictures does not come over as live. The seller was anyway of the socks and her favorite color ( so far white and silver ) was black from the time she saw the car. The following things differ from the series : 18 inch Works rims in black shiny Non Runflats in 205 / 40 18 handle tailgate in black Short antenna Markus

It’s hard…
…to find a worthy successor. Moin Leutz, since I have the car (like many others here) as a hobby, I am at the moment again on the chase after a successor for the MCS-R56-JCW. Many things I have already driven test: BMW Z4M (343 hp), Audi S3 1.8T quattro (8L) (~270 hp), VW Golf V GTI Edition 30 (230 hp). After the test drives I was always happy to sit in the works. Somehow I’m always dissatisfied with the mini, since he doesn’t come up with it, but if you try the other ones, I’m always happy to sit in the works. “Gurken” rides, the MINI is in spite of its 192 hp and only 270 NM really well. Well, is just nagging at a high level. Since I wanted to have something open again and somehow got into the forms Golf 3 / 3.5 Cab and Audi TT, I thought about Golf 3.5 Cab + 1.8T with K04. But that’s not worth it. The money you see there never again. After the test drive in the S3 and GTI, the TT has also moved further away. Here again pictures and videos of I would never have thought that I would be disappointed by a Z4M. So M3 Cabrio will also fall away. What can I do now? Boxster S? I don’t like the MINI Cabrio at all, especially since it’s only available with the annoying compressor at the moment. If it still exists at all at the moment. What would interest me in burning, how a real work can be done. Can’t be difficult for me v I want to say that you can still ride with 211 hp. Mine already fights at the traction limit and after 5,000 km got the 2nd set of front tyres. Imagine this with the works even more extreme. Tell me about your Worx and give me some tips on how to proceed now. At the moment I have only one alternative: keep my JCW. Greeting nr

Mini Cooper D, 1st Service (20.000)… normal that so much to do?
Hello to each other! Since the end of October 2008 I call a Mini Cooper D my own. I drive already for professional reasons a lot, so it was now on last Tuesday… the first service (20.000 km). Service was done quickly… but then came a call. My Mini Cooper D would have the typical Mini Cooper D disease (?): He loses oil on the gearbox. Aha. Ok, goes on warranty, so let me make it. Today I called when I would like my darling wi The gearbox had to be taken out, it was found that too much fat was lost/was lost in the clutch (?). You have already made a request to BMW because of the warranty. As soon as the OK is there, it is also done immediately. Aha. Well, if it is possible to guarantee it. So we call again tomorrow. Says, is this normal???? I only have my Mini Cooper D since the end of October 2008! Ok, I drive a lot… that immediately what must be done on the gearbox and on the clutch???? Is that normal???

Bastuck pot for Mini Cooper R56
Hello, From Bastuck there is recently an ESD for the Mini Cooper R56. I was thinking of mounting the ESD with the single tailpipe. What are your experiences with Bastuck (accuracy of fit, sound, corrosion)? Thank you in advance for your answers, warm greetings from Baden bei Wien! Heribert

Diesel Cooper with sense
Hello, have found the following report in another forum (www.minifahrer.at) – which even lets Markus hope to win a JCW diesel For the diesel fans: First Pre-Production MINI with BMW 2.0L Diesel Engine Built at Oxford Plant Exclusive: Sources at the Oxford Plant have confirmed that the first MINI (in this case a R55 Clubman) weret down the line with a BMW 2.0L diesel installed in the engine bay yesterday. As we reported earlier this month BMW is set to introduce the new line-up of B MW derived diesel engines for 2011. While specs are still hazy, we expect around 150bhp and loads more torque. In fact it does not take much to realize that this new powerplant will be easily as par with the Cooper S 1.6L petrol unit and could in fact be marked as a Cooper S D or even a JCW D… www.motoringfile.com/…/ Liebe Grüße aus Wien Chris

Rim recommendation for Pirelli W 240 Snowsport in Runflat 205-45 R 17 84 V
Who happens to have bought winter tyres in the larger or exactly the tire and “alternative” aluminiums? This is the only tire that my BMW dealer can give me. Must now still get me aluminiums. Furthermore, the rim should have 4 holes and a hole circle of 100mm, right? Anything else to consider? Didn’t want to spend more than 300€. So could be ugly exemplare too mfg patrick achso: Cooper S R56 needs them. That’s why aluminums.

Subwoofers in Mini Cooper D
Hello together, I have a Mini Cooper D (model year 2007) with sound system and nav. The sound is pretty cool, but I would like to have more bass. So I have to have a power amp and a subwoofer in it. Does someone know how and where I best connect it? I saw that there is a kind of power amp in the trunk already behind the cover. Thank you Chris

Chiptuning Mini Cooper S – which manufacturer is recommended?
Hello, we have recently changed from our beloved ABT-chipped A3 to a Mini Cooper S convertible (BJ 01/06, 170PS). Due to the high weight (1.5t) we are thinking about an increase in performance. For the Audi/VW group I mean to know the well-known tuners (e.g. ABT, Wendland, MTM, etc.). For a mini tuning I do not yet have any transparency, which tuner is to recommend. It is important to us that the tuner does not have God and the world in his program, but has itself s Also interesting would be ODB tuning. Are modifications to the compressor always necessary? Furthermore, we would be interested in how to optimize the beautiful sound still something? Thank you for your feedback! Greetings from a mini frishling…
