Hi, I’m interested in the Cooper Convertible. What is the general long-distance suitability of the Mini? (I’m 1.76 tall, normal weight). Would you like to go on holiday with it… Which seats offer more comfort, the “normal” or the sports seats? And how good is the fabric cover insulated? (temperature/sound) In the ADAC breakdown statistics, the Mini performs well, how else is the general quality? Alternatively, a Mazda MX-5 would be in question, I’m somewhat inconclusive. ig…

Pro & Contra Glass sliding roof Mini Cooper??
Hello, I have recently been infected with Mini and want to scrap my car against a new MINI COOPER. In principle my desired car – chili equipment, black leather punch seats with seat heating (is with the Cooper in the Chili package). I am inconclusive at the GLASSCHIEBEDACH. My MINUS points – During the test drive on a hot summer day the sun blinded me from above at noon – despite closed blinds. Unfortunately there are no viscous blinds, but only those with the black I heard at 130 km/h wind noises, driving characteristics not as good at high speeds as at closed roof – I heard from an acquaintance who works at BMW in the development that the sliding roofs cause problems with the mini after some time (more years…), i.e. rusting up to the pure rain… I want to drive my mini very long and fearful expensive repairs. – Visually disturbs the black sliding roof on white My PLUS points 🙂 – more driving fun in the city and country – half convertible feeling – bright interior on cloudy days I have pulled 2 models of the Mini Cooper into the short choice: – British Racing Green with white roof – Mini Cooper 50 Mayfair – the new special edition, which is only produced for a year – optionally in chocolate with white roof or midnight black What are your experiences with the SCHIEBEDACH? What do you recommend: Classics in Racing Green or special edition 50?? sse from the rained MUC Gabi

Exhaust sound Cooper S
Hello MINI community! I got a brand-new Cooper S as a demonstration car today. Background is that we are about to order a Clubman and want to decide between Cooper (we’ve already driven) and Cooper S. The VFW Cooper S is a “normal” mini, so not a Clubman. Now my question: is the exhaust sound of the Clubman Cooper S just as beautiful (especially after pressing the sports button) as with my VFW? The exhaust systems look clearly different, however, There are other notable differences between a Cooper S and a Clubman Cooper S? Thank you very much for your help! Greetings Dirk

Vmax problems with 120 HP-Cooper
Hello, we’re new to the forum and need your advice or experience – it’s about my friend’s new Cooper: she took over the car as a demonstration vehicle (year 1/2010, 1800 km) and is a bit disappointed. Reason: despite turning out the gears and long running, the car comes only laboriously at 195 km/h (according to Tacho). It hardly looks more splashy than our Mini One with 95 hp, which we returned last week. Now our question to you: come your Cooper so swe r on the road or do you have a rather “elastic” and powerful impression of the 120 hp engine? Do you think that the thing will improve after a certain time of drive-in or should we go straight to the friendly one? Thank you in advance for your answers and many greetings!

Roll-off noise RunFlat
Hello MINI municipality, have bought my wife two weeks ago a Cooper (R56, 20,000km, 2008). Nice little sneaker ) but the rolling noise of the tires already at 40-50km/h is a disaster. Tip that this is due to the RunFlat tires, since the wheel bearings are definitely all healthy. Has someone changed and achieved better rolling noise through normal tires?? … by the Grip not to mention. For helpful comentare thank you Alex

Buying advice …
Good day together, since I have to get a used mini (younger model from 2001) for someone in the relatives / must be up to 10 TEUR, I am on your help or need a few tips about the 90, 116 hp and the diesel versions. Best said which years of construction, series or engines etc. should you agree? I am very grateful for every tip and of course also an incentive is desired, no matter what happens to you so spontaneously. How does it look like with the: 1. d both petrol and diesel? 2. Rust problems? 3. gearbox or engine problems? 4. Is the diesel and 90hp version overloaded with the soft?

Gear damage, clutch damage and rope pull torn
Hello I have a question: The mini of a friend of mine has recently been in the factory saddle. She reported about a gear damage, as well as a clutch damage and a torn rope pull. My question is: How likely is it that everything suddenly breaks?

Help! My mini has broken brake discs!
Hello together, can someone help me? I presented my Mini Cooper Cabrio Bj. 2004 to the TÜV on Friday. Unfortunately not very successful, because my mini shows “significant defects” on the brake discs left back. The crowning thing is that in front of me an age-old folding Daihatsu with small defects got the badge – and my beautiful mini doesn’t?! The mini has 53,000 km and even the gentlemen of the Tüv thought that this shouldn’t be that with a 3 year old mini the Bre The brake performance is also worse than on the other side. I will still get in touch with my mini dealer today and hope for BMW’s coolness! Is there anyone in this forum who knows this problem?? Would I be pleased if you have contributed to this! Many greetings ahampel

How much more would you pay to make it a mini?
Hi, everybody, I read recently that in a study by the Centre for European Economic Research it was found that mini and Saab drivers are willing to pay a particularly high surcharge for their brand compared to other brands. They tolerate a surcharge of 50 percent or 40 percent compared to a Toyota reference model. Comparison: BMW fans would pay 31 and Benz drivers 37 percent more for their brand. a mini and a similarly equipped and motorized polo. How much would you be willing to pay for the mini more? I’ll start with: 25 percent surcharge I would make…
