Galant E50 is running out of power, especially after air conditioning
Hello together, for a long time my Glant has the problem that the engine likes to hang just before the shut-off limit, when I drove mainly – longer time – and/or with activated air conditioning. 3 weeks ago I changed the spark plugs and looked at the contacts of the cables, no green chip or something, precautionary gave a small shot of contact spray. In the plugs however, I noticed that oil had collected, everything cleaned up and as said ZK changed t. Were before Bosch, have run well, have now again NGK inside and have now been driving very well now 3 weeks. The Galant fell especially after a longer motorway ride (I am a frequent driver) in idle times fast, but fortunately did not go out. Today again direction to go home, he suddenly starts to jerk slightly and especially when giving gas that strengthens itself. In idle it goes out immediately, and now comes the real problem, that he so badly never gezeze If he is still rolling, I can’t pick him up again!) unless I wait 2 hours, then it’s going to work again. No jerking, it might come back after a long time of driving, after the warm-up phase, actually only shows up at engine load and then also at idle with stationary gas. I also suspect that the fuel filter can be in there for a while, but guessings won’t take me any further. Tomorrow I’ll look at the ZK to see if it’s any longer. And what traces have, or whether oil has gone into the plugs again. Then it may be that the seals around the ZK-channels no longer hold – opinions are asked here gladly. Family suitability Mitsubishi Galant 2500 V6 Combi
Hello together, I am faced with a difficult decision: have a good offer for a V6 Galant Combi, BJ 2000 in the advance variant with spoiler package, 17 inch rims etc.. I am looking for a family-friendly combi on it. It should definitely be a Japanese with enough space for a small family, I want the car to be converted to car gas and it should prove to me for the next 6 years faithful services. All I could discover so far were for the same price Mazda 626, Nissan Primera, Toyota Corolla or Mitsu Lancer. With a 6 cylinder Galant I get a decent portion more car for the money or am I wrong there. Certainly I will NOT heat with 200 things over the highway, but I am much more solid and comfortable traveling? What about the place compared to the other mentioned candidates? How family-friendly is the Galant? What about the running costs in the Vergl to the others, taxes, insurances, consumption… I build on your clues and advice, thank you, Erik

Need help – Brakes broken after major customer service???
Hello everyone, hope to get help in your forum now. I bought a Mitsubishi Colt convertible in June 2007. Now in September 2008 I had a big customer service (cost 420 EUR) Now at 42000 km I drove back to the workshop because of a funny noise and it was found that I had only 50% brake power and all brake discs and blocks were over. This was now completely fixed and I received an invoice of 360 EUR. Well, well i ch am a woman and not really fit in autotechnical matters but in my opinion, can it not be that after such a short time after the Great Customer Service, there is a “total damage” of the brakes?????? I also addressed the mechanic and he only meant that with the large customer service only a visual inspection is made. But the brake bevels were totally rusty and are broken off, that can not happen within 12 weeks or?? Can maybe j please explain more carefully and help me if this is justified the invoice?? P.S: that the brakes have been renewed, so I have no problem and I would pay the 150 EUR for this without complaining, but it is more about working time, because the tires would have already been dismantled at the large customer service. Hello, have a problem with my Galant E70. The hydro-punch clacks. Actually nothing special about 170 000 km can happen. Now the thing is: If the car is warm, then it’s gone. If there is little oil in the car, it gets louder. So is there actually the hydro-push broken or is it something else (possibly oil pump?) and can help there possibly an oil sludge flushing? Would be much cheaper than having the hydro-push switch for the V6… Am for everyone Hint grateful!

My ExperienceVehicle has been in family possession for 5 years, for a year of mine) -toller engine a lot of power, very reliable and relatively economical c.a. 8-8,5l -weak brake brake is very fast!, a new disc change helps even for a short time. helpful? -Reliability Has left me in the lurch (distributor cap) but otherwise top! -Processing almost everything crackles and clatters especially from the rear area, maybe lies at the tail (not so torsional stiff?)
