  • With summer tires through the winter?

Hello, for some years I have been driving on my cars from the end of March / beginning of April to the end of October / beginning of November summer tires. In the rest of the time I have mounted winter tires. I mean, still there are too many drivers who are travelling on summer tires in winter. To this mentioned, already various drivers told me that they had been driving for 10, 20 or 30 years, never owned winter tires and also no need. They could just drive a car. That is pure I personally don’t think anything about the so-called all-year tires! Are they neither fish nor meat. They won’t have the full characteristics of a summer tire in summer, neither will they have the full characteristics of a winter tire in winter, do they? Of course, in summer such an all-year tire should be better than a winter tire and in winter it should be better than summer tires. In my opinion, in winter the summer tire riders endanger themselves and other. Obviously, more and more insurance companies are also of the opinion. Already the first voices are loud, that “man” is forced to buy winter tyres and that the tire industry is behind it! Greetings bathwater

  • Problem with 320 CDI Bj 2007

Hey screwdriver, my 320 Cdi has been slipping for a few days. More precisely, the Mkl is on and the car has no more power. I’ve searched many posts and often heard of this actuator, which runs under the turbo. My workshop read out the fault memory yesterday and demanded 2950 Euro for the turbo change.Since I am a self-trained screwdriver, I would like to expand the turbo myself and possibly only change the actuator. Now my question, jmd from eu ch Tips for removal or best a repair instruction? Thanks already .Lg Erik

  • I know not so new: Again “petrol or diesel?”

Dear fan community, this autumn I want to buy a used Mercedes C 200. My ideas are based on: maximum 50,000 km of previous driving performance standard version no more than a previous owner price ceiling 19,000 euros My problem: petrol or diesel? I have already read various articles here in the forum, but that has not yet led me to a decision, because the tenor in the end regularly amounts to a My driving profile: In the year about 10,000 km 60% city (wives with disabilities) 40% country and highway I know that diesel is good for long distances, which prevents me from petrol, is the significantly higher consumption. What do the experts advise me? Thank you for every answer already in advance. Phil

  • Saab before Mercedes??

Hey guys! I discovered the article on the home page about image of car brands yesterday… “So in 2009 the enthusiasm of the SAAB drivers as well as in the years before takes first place. The drivers of the Audi (2), Volvo (3) and BMW/Mini (4) follow closely in the places. ” SAAB VOR MERCEDES??? That can’t be! So I don’t know exactly what exactly for Mercedes drivers have participated, but I wouldn’t trade mine for a Saab for any money in the world! Wa Do you think you should show them what the real IMAGE of Mercedes is?? lg, Dennis

  • Clean the air conditioner yourself?

Hello! With my W202 the climate smells at extremely high outside temperatures (rubber-fishy). In addition, the windows are fogged when it has stood overnight in the garage and the climate is not on. Does speak for residual condensate. I have already found the drain hose in the transmission tunnel. Also comes out water. Climate cools well. Can you clean the system yourself without having to disassemble the entire box? For example by flushing over the drainage hose? Or m It is such an air conditioner cleaner from Liqui Moly? Where do I stuff the hose from the can? Does anyone know? Would you be very grateful for your help!

  • Help for color combi C63 Coupé

Hello………now it’s time and I order a C63 AMG Coupé 🙂 shortly before the binding order I have doubts about the chosen color combi: I want the car in calcitwhite…… and the interior equipment in leather designo two-color porcelain/black (one-color black I also like very well but with the surcharge for the designo (3000+1400 memory package mandatory) I find black a bit boring)… and am now afraid that the calcitwhite with the po rzellan bites or doesn’t fit together…… what do you think??? greetings, andre

  • Caravan does what he wants with W204

Hello,I have a problem with pulling my three-year-old Tabbert caravan. I myself drive a W 204, 220 CDI, year 07 with 30000 km. So can not be much worn out with the car and not even with the caravan. I am a pensioner and ride very material-friendly. Now I have the concrete problem that the caravan from 70-80km/h from behind does from behind with the car what it wants. It all becomes very unsafe. I have new tires on it, H&R springs built in with bilstein dampers and the reinforced stabilizers – nothing helps. Car was measured of course…. My friend only has the same car with the other equipment variant and with it the team runs perfectly. I also measured a new sling coupling on my trailer and the ball head on my car, all in the green area. Does anyone know the problem or even better a solution??? That can’t be that this should be “the truth” with a completely unused Mercedes…. kisses of problem W204 😉

  • Noise after spark plug change!

Hello together. First of all, I’m quite a rental on the gebit Autotechnick. I would like to take this into consideration if your answer is correct. I try to describe my problem as accurately as possible. I changed the spark plug-bosch platinum on 29.10.2012 with my Mercedes C240 T-4Matic, Bj 09.2004, automatic, on 29.10.2012 (free me well-known workshop). Afterwards the car had a very undisturbed run and it even went out at intersections. Furthermore, there was the ride off and for about two seconds a *noise, as if you were suddenly driving over button pavers (ratters). Demand at the workshop which then checked the car (how, by what means, I don’t know), which then determined that the lamda probes were defective and these were then exchanged. Now the car runs better, but in my opinion still worse than before the change, it ran by the way perfectly. I have the feeling that it has less power, ” especially if it’s a little warmer (from about 10°C), then it feels like you are driving on a road that has small grooves in the surface at even intervals (tires have been examined by me and a car mechanic, perfect). The procedures mentioned *noises from time to time are still there for about two seconds. What can it be about? Where can I get cheap help (room Bremen, OHZ)? Thanks already for your contributions. rwolf007 Note: Spark plug change including spark plugs should cost 650,00 € at Mercedes. Together with inspection A a total of 1100,00 €.

  • Mercedes, where are you going?

In 2008, I switched from my Renault Laguna to my current C-class T-model (S204) with almost 300,000 km on the speedometer. In April, it became 5 years old. Except for the story with the squeaking exterior mirrors, the change of the ignition lock and a broken belt lock, there were no problems. My boss said when buying, the first MB is always the most expensive. However, this has been a bit relative with the current used car prices. I got the C-Class (C 180 and C 200) when MB switched to turbochargers. I was and am glad that I still have a compressor pumping air on the cold track. I had the second blow when I saw what MB made of the A-Class. Well, as you know, there’s no argument about taste. But putting it in a Benz Renault engine is grotesque. But it’s going on. The Citan is a smeared kangoo and MB thinks customers can remember Not that. But not that the price advantage of the saved development costs benefits the customer, but the planer is also much more expensive than the Renault Kangoo. I thought MB had learned from his overcrowded transporter stories. But the Oberhammer stood in the last Autoblend. In the medium term, engines from the Renault and Nissan manufacturers should enter the C-Class. MB therefore wants to achieve high profit margins, in which they do without their own developments. M I’m a cardboard saddle. If there’s Benz somewhere on it, I expect engineering skills and no French engines. Otherwise I can buy a much cheaper Frenchman with built-in trouble guarantee.
