Good morning, I’ve been looking into this forum for some time and I’ve also read a lot of posts. However, I haven’t yet been able to read out whether the 463 has a gearbox or off-road reduction. I only read this with the very old models. I lack this information for the 463. I don’t see any switch for an electronic connection or a lever for a mechanical connection. The 7G/Plus or 9G transmissions are quite normal transmissions from the car area?

Differential Lock, Auto says lock are active but are not active
Hello, currently have the above error message, All lock have been checked. Go in and out again. Only the third lock will not be red at the lock switch in the cockpit. Vehicle says lock is active, although all lock if I do not activate you are not active. Did anyone ever have such a case or can help me ? What has already been done: vacuum pump has been checked. W463 300GE engine 103.987 dies after a short drive in idle mode
Good morning – now it has caught me. First of all the vehicle information Mercedes G-Model 300GE – EZ: 1991 2-door version Engine: M 103.987 (M 103 E 30 CAT) – transmission: automatic Since Monday I have the following problem. Cold condition – car starts perfectly and drives as it should. Then, after about 10 minutes drive everything is at operating temperature. Continues to drive – but now a STOP at the traffic light, or similar. The engine runs uneasy and then goes out. Starting is possible again – but I have to press the accelerator a little bit and stay on the brake – and it goes on. However, this is not a permanent solution. Distribution cap has already been checked – everything is in order. I am now missing further ideas – I guess on false air – which means YOU have to say hello to Johann.

My first G
Hello Together I saw my first car on the weekend. I had bought this in the mid 90’s. It was a former test car for changing models from 460 to 463, year 1989. It is a 300 GE with automatic with permanent all-wheel drive and with switchable ABS, still in a 460 body. He also has a Webasto heater. I had resold this vehicle and bought a G 300 DT convertible. I have now made contact with the owner and try to acquire it again. The owner is still uncertain whether he will restore it himself. If I get it, I will transfer it in its original condition. We already had the question of the track broadening for the new G. H&R released a current part report 5.1.2016, which also takes into account the new G. Of course there are also new track plates, so that you can’t do anything with the old ones anymore. For example, instead of 60 mm track broadening now 62 mm per axle, but now also valid for the 275/55R19 9,5×19 rims. But now, before I order it. According to the report, the discs are tested up to the wheel load of 930 kg. According to COC, my G has a “technically maximum permissible mass per axle” for axis 1 1550 kg and for axis 2 1900 kg. According to my understanding, I am well at the front with 2×930 kg, but on the rear axle lacked 40 kg. Does that mean that the H&R can’t be mounted on the new G then on the rear axle?

Which card do you need for 8 hours? Battery or Zig. Lighter? How does this go through the disc without reflection? Filter? Vibration? Rust on shock absorber front – Need action?
Good evening together I would like to bring my G55 a little bit to the front and make one or the other preventative, so that I hopefully have many years of joy in the super car. I have at the front of the two shock absorber shots m.M. after not insignificant rust infestation, see pictures in the appendix, whereby the driver side is worse than the passenger side. But I am also quite new in the “G camp” and I don’t like to judge it with experience, or is it half as wild? In my opinion, they look good in the back. The car passed the Swiss “TÜV” last October without defects, although the Swiss are quite puffy. What do you think, rust remove and seal something? Or do you have to get new shots in there?
