In the inbox I found today the cancellation of the new presentation planned for 07 July at my “Friendly” (PLZ 54). “With today’s status, Daimler AG informed us that due to too many orders we cannot count on the targeted SUVs.” No new date was thought up. There seems to be a serious problem, regardless of “too many orders”.

Higher, but correct W461
Moin. I’m new, I tried the search, but found no suitable topic: I have an ex-Swiss military Puch, 230 GE. This looks already high, the springs measure in the developed state front 465mm, rear 425mm, because no color codings are visible anymore and the mileage is speculative, it is pure guessing which springs are in there right now, maybe they were also a few mm longer. However, I would like to make from the full drawer, but also no aberdutzend conversions Does anyone have an idea what is going on with springs without having to adjust brake lines? Or are they enough? And do the dampers go with that? Tires would also be converted from 30” to 32” diameter (largest factory clearance)…

Sports exhaust G500 short
Hello, dear friends of the well-kept exhaust bubbling, for the long G500 you can order a sports exhaust ex factory quite cheaply. For the short there is unfortunately not this option. I have a little googled before, but can not really go further. Does any of you know a good source for a theoretical street legal part, possibly with not so legal flap control? For tips I would like to thank you in advance……

Night Package – “same” retrofitting
Dear community, regardless of which current G I decide for, the night package is almost obligatory for me personally. However, I am more or less “only” about the black accents. I can do without the larger tyres in both cases (500s / 63s). Accordingly, I find the extra charge only partially justified… Has someone already dealt more intensively with how elaborately an independent “refurbishment” / “foiling” of the affected parts is? On the Internet or at Kunzmann I can’t discover anything in the direction yet… Is probably a little too early for the wide market. Thanks for your input. Smo

Offroad trailers or caravans
Does anyone here have an off-road trailer or caravan that fits the G? I want to get something like that for occasional use in the “wildness”. Requirement: overnight stay for a person with a dog. I have a roof tent, but the assembly is so cumbersome that I have never installed it before, in my opinion, a roof tent is not suitable for spontaneous use if you don’t go for a walk all the time. New G-Class 463A – Warranty Extensions
And there is it – my salesman was unfortunately completely unaware and wanted to tell me even for our Gs there is nothing?! Yesterday in a MB branch with a dedicated KD master then found that… What do you mean? Is a lot of money – on the other hand? If there is really something on the new big ship, it will also be a very expensive exercise!

Engine damage 270cdi
Moin together, need your help. I now also have an engine damage after countless repairs. The piston from the fourth cylinder is torn in the middle and has caused corresponding traces on the block. Angry because this ATM has only nearly 80tKM on it and lies outside the warranty time. Unfortunately, I can not find a new or revised ATM and also no one who can work up my soon – engine code OM612.965. Engine of a C/E/M-Class Code OM612.961 or OM612.962 to use? If yes – what must be changed/changed? Thank you in advance for your contributions!

Unbalance or vibration at BFG All-Terrain KO2 – your experiences?
Hello, for my G55 vacuum cleaner from 2001 I am looking for a good tire with an off-road focus. Of course, the BFG AT or MT are close to that. Five years ago I had already looked for an A/T tire suitable for everyday use for my G500 year 2015 and decided for the BFG AT KO2, namely in the series size, i.e. 265/60/18. After two weeks I took the tires down again and since then they have been lying around because they vibrated between 80 and 110 unpleasantly. My MB-NDL has d After the two weeks I switched to Yokohama Geolandar G015 and remained true to the tire on some cars to this day. But for heavier terrain it is not particularly good. Just a little over a year ago I bought above all G55 AMG suction cup from 2001, which has mounted 285/60/18 BFG AT KO2. Also here light vibrations already after purchase on the return drive the according to trusted seller tirevol I then asked my MB-NDL to rebalance and get the last unbalance out. Result: Bader than before. I was complaining and was there in the second rebalance – the wheels were balanced to zero, but the steering wheel still vibrates between 80 and 110, after that it gets better again. Long speech, short sense: With two different Gs and two different tire dimensions I have bad experiences with the BFG ATs in each case. 8. I would be very surprised if neither the G-professional, with whom I bought the 55s, nor the MB-NDL and also our tyre service were to be unable to balance BFG-ATs. Did you have your own experience? Is that just “normal” with the ATs? And are the MTs even worse due to the coarser profile? Background: I want a remote-accessible tire, which is at least similar to BFG AT, better yet similar to MT and NOT vibrating. I tend here to the dimension 265/75/16 or 285/75/16, but by no means would like this unpleasant driving behavior. Perhaps one of you has experiences and tips, would help me very much! Thank you.
