  • Problems associated with the supply of the synchronous shaft

    Hello I ask for help from the axle special lists! That with the axle balls always a slight fat release seems to be normal. But with my G it is recently a grey fat film mixed with oil. The diff oil which was recently exchanged was also gray. So probably the cuffs and the sealing rings are broken, but strangely simultaneously on both sides. I ordered now new seals and bearings and disassembled the first side. At the cuff which still in Ordn ung the tensioner has opened and the cuff was loose at the larger diameter. Unfortunately, the DC joint is also to be replaced. A drive shaft for the G is quickly found, but not suitable for my G500 Bj.10 388Ps at least if the information of the providers is correct. I doubt however the accuracy of the according to dimension should fit e.g. these except the teeth number for ABS: https://www.autodoc.de/…/1386668?… Does someone know about the different equals I’m a little bit in need of time as I’m about to leave Tunisia.   • Ceramic sealing lacquer / alternatives / matt lacquer – Magno

    Since I didn’t find anything suitable during the search, the question in the round: Does anyone have experience with ceramic sealing on the G and in particular with magno mattllacks ?Conservation of expectations: Especially with matt lacquer no change of the lacquer effect / optics. Cleaning is easier by hand, since dirt of any kind hardly adheres. Lacquer is protected for many years (> 5 years) well from weather influences. (here especially matt lacquer interesting because you can’t polish) Protection against “smaller” Kr e.g. feel brushes washbox/system or light mechanical scratches like e.g. smaller Ästchen during off-road rides… … is worth the financial effort corner 1000 – 2000 Euro ? I have rejected alternatives: stone impact protection foils should professionally lie > 4000 … how long should I keep the beautiful also questionable … then possibly prefer to repaint in 10 years if necessary ?     Hello together, we would like to order our first G soon, with the rest of the equipment is clear to me or the decision is easy, only with the outside color we are totally unsure. We consciously do not want a black, is of course also good, one can do nothing wrong but does not meet our taste. After eternal considerations and partly encounters on the road we could reduce the selection to 3 colors: Opalith white travertine metallic olive green m etallic The green we had seen a few times during the last days of the skiing holiday, but in bad light conditions it looks almost like black. We also looked white, was surprised- looked good. Travertin I have unfortunately not seen anywhere in natura. Especially with the Night Package I have concerns that the transition from white and black is too hard. What do you think?     Hello! I drove a G 300TD/Shortly today PROBE and was NEGATIV surprised… Consumption mainly highway cutting speed 93km/h at 15,2ltr.. No full throttle only to rock there… Slightly wobbly on the VA at 100-110km/h then give itself back..easy poltern at the rear part… EZ 12/99 85tsd km 1st hand 18″ ex factory TOP condition with all EXTRAS…. Acceleration from 30/40 to 100km/h is indeed SUPER bad….from 110km/h it goes again… So besides the seat positioin has mi Is the driving characteristics better with the long..???? How does the driving difference between long/short over..? How high is the consumption…?? at the 500s…? 400s..CDI ….?? Man Which model should I buy.. or better bury my G…. I am now totally undecided… Thanks in advance for your information….

  • G500 V8 4.0 M176 Ribbed belt

    Who of you has ever changed the triangular belts of generator and air compressor/servo pump with the G500 with 4.0 V8 M176 engine (2015-18) ? I wanted to look at the condition of the two belts, but even that didn’t look so easy. From above you can see nothing, only sideways and from below you can see a bit of the belt. Whether you really have to dismantle the entire front and cooler package in order to change straps, tensioning and turning roller ? I have really found nothing on the Internet. G-russ Dennis

  • Rear registration plate on the G (W463)

    Hello and good evening together the left blue G is mine 🙂 I have a problem with the rear license plate It should be gone, because 1. I have already torn off number plate lights several times when descending from the roof tent 2. it unnecessarily restricts the ground clearance.
