Hello people, since today it is definitely that oldtimer in Holland will no longer be tax-free from 01.01.2014. For my beloved 280GE BJ 82 this means the death sentence. Since I have equipped it with an LPG system, I will have to pay Laeppische 240 Euro per month from the next year in order to be able to move my car with a hollandic license plate. (there is not yet the insurance in there) So now I am looking for an alternative possible. Two questions arise: How much tax do I pay for a 280GE BJ 82 with LPG in Germany? So no historical license plate, (for that I would probably have to expand the gas system) but simply normal as a three-year-old scraper. What does the import of such a vehicle van de Netherlands cost to Germany? Maybe one of you has an idea? Grusse Chris P.S.: I couldn’t make the calculation myself because I didn’t have an emission lock.

New starter battery G 500 (2000 VorMopf)
Hello G-emeinde, after last week’s battery in my G fell, it is now time to replace them. Since the car ran in Japan until last year, a Korean battery is in it. It is not visible on this from when it is, nor any voltage technical data. My workshop still had a Varta Silver E3 with 95 Ah, which they gave me. This battery is unfortunately only 5 centimeters too long at the foot. Since it is a pre-mopf from 2000, it has the battery still installed in the left rear wheel box. There fits in max times one with 30 cm foot length. But all, which I have found so far, are larger. Who can recommend me a model with good performance and suitable dimensions? HG Syncla

Gear change Mercedes 250GD
Hello, I have currently installed the one-piece 5-speed transmission with aluminium housing 717.436. Because of the large tires I would like to install the 5-speed transmission 711.116 from the wolf with shorter first gear. Has anyone done this yet? What do I need with the matching clutch bell everything additionally new? Does the length of the drive shaft fit to the distribution gear? Can the same clutch remain? Do the three gear levers fit the transmission from my previous gear? And is the switching logic from the gear knob to the control rods identical? And can the drive shaft flange also be taken over from my gear? (The above mentioned parts would not be included with my available gear and would have to be worried if not overacceptable. Thank you.

Is there really something broken?
Hi all together, last week at the Swiss TÜV the condition of the axle housing was contested, it is just not tight anymore. I was surprised, because just in winter the car was to the Assyst at Mercedes. I then made contact with this Mercedes workshop, which looked at the photos internally and also with KÜS and Dekra. Everyone comes to the conclusion that there is everything normal and tiptop. The Swiss TÜV imposed a repair obligation in self-responsibility. But I do not want to repair where there is nothing to repair. Pictures attached. What do you think about it? Defect or everything normal? Thank you. Dear Greetings (W463, G500, 2009)

Technical service at the G for domestic use
Hi Together, thanks to Thomas’ thread with his problem at the rain channel, I came up with the idea of collecting what to do with his G in order to protect him from decay: Pre-notice: with the bundle there were always technical services (TD), which seem to have had some sense (even though I have always been looking for the golden rope in these works). Now I always check my G on the weekend. There it is washed (by hand) and all the usual parts sprayed with silicone. I lubricate balist oil. Now I also blow out the rain channel. So I think it would be quite good if we could put up a small duty aid, in which everyone contributes his care measures, then we all have longer what of our G’s However, it should only be a small obligation book for the weekly minimum measures.

G 400 CDI: Path of suffering or pure emotion ?
Hello together, after my two previous posts have been postponed in the forum (full understanding, because of sales offer), I launch another thread on the topic G 400 CDI – for the G-eschichtsbücher. Who has good experience with the 400 CDI? Who still drives a 400 CDI today and has no path of suffering behind him (i.e. https://www.hanshehl.de/verfahrt400cdi.htm)? Who would consider the purchase of a used G 400 CDI today? In my opinion, the 400 CDI is one of the most interesting Gs of all times. Not the best, but interesting, because of the OM 628. On the best list are probably G 500, G 320, G 300 TD, G 230GE. And on the diesel theme: there are some G-fans waiting for the W463b in the 350d version out there. Speaks probably for the MB diesel engines. Even in today’s times. becasse

Purchase advice G320 V6 Gasoline or G500 V8 and a few open questions
The G500 is not a good thing for the G500, the G500 is not a good thing for the G500, the G500 is a good thing for the G500, the G500 is a good thing for the G500, the G500 is a good thing for the G500, the G500 is a good thing for the G500, the G500 is a good thing for the G500, and the G500 is a good thing for the G500. Since the market is so “empty”, there are more and more Japanese reimports, which I don’t think is bad. Recently there are more and more Russian and Ukraine imports, where the history is very hard to understand. There was already a similar contribution here in 2018 in comparison with a G320 short version. For me only a G in Lang version is possible. Year of construction 2001 to 2006 under 150,000Kmn automatic. Of the equipment the G320 is like the G500 with spare wheel, leather, rear heating etc. To use: The new G will not be a terrain vehicle, but rather a daily driver. In this case, the main road and highway (about 35km) are back to the city.

Hello, is there a way to get to a schematic with terminal diagram etc. for my `12er 463.346? Specifically, I am interested in everything about the speed control, speed detection, mantle tube module. Where can I pick up which signal and feed in if necessary etc. Be happy about every hint!
