Why are there no 19 or 20 inch rims in the sports package?
Hello Together I have learned this winter to appreciate the advantages of the wide track of the sports package. The G is great on the snowy winding road and you can really move well, quickly and safely. Even downhill you are safely on the road through the wide track. On my new one, which is delivered in February, comes the sports package. What I like less however are the AMG widenings, since the tires with the 18 inch rims look a little small S. Of course it is better if you still drive in forest and meadow, that you have a lot of rubber and little rim. But with 19 inch rims it is still good. If you want to order other rims than the 18 inch rims, this is not possible with MB. You have to register them and buy them extra (5.170 €!). The reason for this is strange to me, because for the AMG models the 20 inch rims series are. Even with the A class you can order the AMG rims additionally without problems, only with the G. My salesman couldn’t do that.

Real G – Adventure ( Ukraine 2015)
Hello I have not presented myself on this forum so far. Owners of 2 G’s. 1.W461, Wolf from Denmark with several upgrades and 2.W463, 2.7 which gives me almost the same joy as the old one but rather problems In Poland also a GKlub works. With some colleagues we regularly drive to South-West of Ukraine, this time in the 2nd half of July 2015 I failed last year because of a breakdown (!), but I have a short film out of the ride in 2013. Vi If someone would like an OffRoad Pur, please get the feedback. We collect 6-8 cars, if there is still room, we invite (after the consideration of the appropriate equipment – MT tires, good technical condition, rope winch etc). low cost, with a tested local 4×4 guide incl. link:http://youtu.be/SY9yOOUg1Hs

G 350 Bluetec suitable for hunting and the future
Moin, the cube is also such an old childhood love of mine. After my long-time hunting companion Defender was allowed to go, I thought I needed a G, but I am worried about durability, durability of the electronics and above all rust. On the other hand, I do not want to do without leather, heating and xenon (had I also retrofitted in the Defender). I have the possibility to take over a 2014 on good conditions, however, here I seem to be particularly concerned about the flaws. The difference is LR parts cost in relation to DB nix and the hours with the screwdriver half. If a G is only suitable for the ice cream parlour and Sylt and no longer suitable for mud and mud, then I fear that makes no sense. Also the electronics makes me worry, what about the whole stuff in 10-15 years ? Is there here users who use the current G species-appropriate ? So also in the dirt, possibly long stretch e from time to time trailers 3.5 t ? I am grateful for your opinions. LG Jens

Gear oil flushing – oil return line
Hi together, For a transmission oil flushing on the 722.9 transmission (the older 7G Tronic, not 7G Tonic Plus) with M273 motor, I would like to tap the return line of the transmission oil to flush in the closed oil circuit. Does anyone know which the lines are? I think they are at the bottom of the M273 somewhere? I would proceed like to: – drain oil from the oil tank – drain oil from the converter. – remove the tub, clean magnets and tubs – new filter on it – the yellow transmission plug grad exchange – oil tank with new seal and new nozzle on it. – Fill oil drained oil through the oil tank again. For this I create a filling adapter – release return line (even, where is it?) – Connect to the dishwasher – Rinse the engine and gear with oil. I expect to do everything with about 15 liters to rinse. – Use additives for the flushing or not? What does it mean, why not? The ghosts split. Thank you, Greetings Achill

Mercedes 230G vs. 240GD – Which engine is the better choice?
Hello together, currently two interesting W460 G-models are available for sale on the internet, the one G is a 230G with M115 engine, the other a 240GD with OM 616 engine. Since I find both vehicles very interesting and I have not found a thread regarding the direct comparison 230G (not 230GE!) vs. 240GD, I would be happy if you could give me a feedback as the owner of these vehicles and give me a purchase recommendation, after all, both engines are of the performance data (72hp and 90hp) closely together. What have you done as a 230G/240GD driver for experience with regard to – consumption – driving comfort (noise development, passage, etc.) – durability or susceptibility to faults and defects – overall satisfaction with the engine Thank you for your feedback!

Renew callback brake underpressure line G500 BJ 04/2017
Hello, I received mail from MB or KBA today. With my G500 BJ 04/2017 the brake pressure line is to be renewed, for this I should arrange an appointment with an authorized MB service partner as soon as possible. In the letter is also in bold print as soon as possible. Since I also received another callback campaign for another MB vehicle, with which as soon as possible it is not in bold print, I thought I should warn all possibly affected. Or am I d he last in the row? 🙂 G-rüße Kai

Engine jerks in stand at position D
Since yesterday, I have noticed that my G270 cdi is in a standstill/vibrating position when I brake, come to a stop and hold the foot on the brake. Speed indicator does not wobble. If I switch to N, it feels mechanically less strong, but it remains belligerent. I imagine that the empty number in N is slightly higher than in D. Otherwise, driving is completely inconspicuous. I noticed the phenomenon with a warm engine. Does one know that? Groetjes Carsten

Chassis for everyday life in the W461 (short) searched
Hello all, I have a G-Class and I am looking for a comfortable chassis for the car. – gdt 290 – Built 1999 – short – W461 – Tyre 205 80 r 16 The vehicle was delivered with the rich 235 85 r16 and I will reassemble this size. The vehicle is mainly moved on paved roads. However, I may have to drive from time to time in deep snow and on poor dirt roads. However, the design of the chassis should be for the road. It should be possible. one, to drive far and not to get any problems. The car can come a little deeper with the new chassis. I also sometimes have to get into a parking garage etc. Is there a chassis that is recommended?

W460 Year 82. Which steering wheel was original’?
I have built such a thick steering wheel. Which is probably at home in the w123. (4 spokes) Now I know, but there was original such a steering wheel with a thin Holm(2 spokes). and in the middle then a Mercedes or Puchplakette. Now I wonder, there were original 2 steering wheels in the year 82. Or was there only that with the thin Holms. Then, yes then, I would like to disarm on the old variant. And is it easy to exchange? Thank you for help.
