  • M271.860 EVO / SIM271DE20 last MB Software level 200CGI reprogramming possible to 250CGI ?

Hello and Merry Christmas Since I have access to various software & hardware, the following question to the programmers. Can the SIM271DE20 with the latest software available from MB simply be reprogrammed in the variants configuration with Vediamo from 200CGI to 250CGI? Are all parameters of the 250er automatically entered after the changes (after reset) from the 250er? There are various parameters in the control unit and the 250CGI with the M271.860 has no other control unit keep quiet another engine, turbo, injectors etc. That says EPC! The braking system might have to be adapted, but I will then clarify this if I succeed at TÜV. I am not concerned about the 20hp more power (do not drive my vehicles completely at my age anyway), I would like to have more torque available. The engine was just at approx.86.000km with chain demolition completely overtaken by me and I would have had a second overhauled M271.860 by now. The “reduced performance” engines die without notice far before the 100,000km limit with chain damage etc. although they are consistent like my “MB checkbook well maintained” and always only the original MB 5W40 (MB229.5 release) has been filled in. Of course, the whole is registered on success, so please also no answers from any teachers. Greetings and thanks for your answers (also by PN) Michael

  • Om642 sporadic emergency run P123900

For about 2 months at higher speeds I mostly sporadic emergency run without mkl. I then read out with carly and error deleted because I had to finish my route home. At mb 6 weeks waiting for an appointment. Error is 123900 charge pressure too low charge pressure control permanent positive control deviation too large. Where can the error lie? charge pressure controller and turbocharger, If the system would leak the emergency run would have to come constantly? I’m at the moment rather perplexed and have no one with sd who could help me. Also my free with sd is very tensed in time and currently has no time to look more closely. LG Sven

  • OM651 OM642 Shelf life

Hello dear stars, I am looking forward to the decision to give me an S212. What about the durability of both engine variants? Can you say that the 642 is a bit more durable? Would you buy a 651 with 120k km or a 642 with 150k, if there are no other differences? Both have the 7g-Tronic, I assume the 7G-Plus variant at BJ2013 at each time? Is the automatic delivered at 642 higher loads and cold Is it probably less long or is it another one at the 642? Looking forward to your predictions and opinions…

  • W210 Remodeling engine for boat engine

Good day and Merry Christmas, I have planned a project. And I would like to try to install a Mercedes Diesel engine into my boat. I already facilitated an old Mercedes E-Class from 1998 of the engine, wiring harness, control unit and ignition lock. So in theory it can not be so difficult for a non-Kfz-Mechaniker to get the thing to run. But now that I have too little idea about it, I ask now here. Can someone give me a plan or a tie I imagine that I only have to have electricity and diesel in the right places, but before I break something, I prefer to ask. Would be very nice if someone could help me extremely with a guide or helpful tips. Kind regards Micha

  • OM642 Engine front oily and metal chips?

My OM642 we are worried again. Yesterday I found that he lost oil at the front. Not so much that it drips onto the road, but it arrived in the floor covering. I had just removed it. The belt discs of the rib belt are partially contaminated, on the rib belt is also what and even some aluminum chips irritated me. The highest point of the oiling is to be seen where the vibration damper is for the loading air. So where is it? the metal charge air pipe goes from the turbo into the small box. It tends to be more on the left front of the engine front and then pulls back in small quantities to the end of the oil tank. Perhaps the oil cooler as a typical construction site? But the oiling is higher than the drain bore on the left side of the engine block and above all further forward, because it is just on the wedge belt. Does anyone have an idea or an experience?

  • Current 200K (184hp) and 280 V6 (231hp)

Hello me it is about the engines in the current W204 (safe also in other series, E-Class, SLK, etc.) Who can help me with the following questions: 1. How is the internee designation of Mercedes for these engines? 2. How does the valve actuation (hydropump, cup plunger with Shims etc.) 3. How expensive is a possible valve adjustment? 4. are these engines permanently gas-resistant? (Autogas/LPG) Plan the purchase of a W204 with subsequent conversion to LPG (drive 30,000km p.a.) Thank you in advance for your information Greetings, Eric

  • Injection pump for OM602 (call for help from the USA)

Hello, I have reached the call for help of an American named Jack W. Since I have no idea about the topic I would like to post his request here: Quotation: I have a Mercedes Benz OM602 DE2.9LA motor in my Jeep scrambler and am looking to replace the Bosch VE electronic control pump with a VE mechanical pump. No one in America or Canada has the components to build me a custom pump, so now I’m starting to hunt over in the EC. Would you be so kind as to provide me a couple names & websites of Bosch injector re-build houses in Germany? Thanks in advance! I hope you can continue to help him. Answers I ask either to post here or to contact him directly via email: sales (at) overlandhardware (point) com Thanks, Emil W.

  • Turbo

moinsen…. I’ve been looking for a tuner for my 2.5 16V for some time and I’ve already found two offers. 1.Turbo with all the drums and all for around 5,500 euros from a workshop near Berlin 2. Conversion from my 2.5 16V machine to the EVO 2 engine, including exhaust system, for 6,300 euros from HAGMANN The Tubrboumbau should bring about about 70 hp more power and during the EVO conversion the power with test bench should rise to 235 hp. Are the 5,500 for then Turbo ne reasonable sum or can you tell me who else does that? Thanks in the previous MfG Taddi

  • Run operating warm engine in standby

Hello, I have a question of a purely theoretical nature: Now in winter you see people at the motorway parking lots again and again, e.g. without heating, who sleep in the car after hours of driving. They let the engine run because of the heating. I don’t have it before, but I always ask myself: Does this do nothing to the engine? Possibly petrol in the oil or other problems? As I said, only asked for so much interest.
