Hello Forum Have a Benz w123 JG.83 300TD 88PS. My termostat doesn’t open, even for trailer operation, or highway ride. Have new termostat installed. Lower cooler hose always cold. Cooler is not clogged. It may be that the small water circuit does not become >90 degrees and my termostat never has to open. Car does not get too hot. Thank you Martin

I had a conversation today with a certain Mr. Wolf (www.chip-tuning.at) who sells tuning chips, i.e. precisely intermediate boxes. He explained to me that he or his sales and his partners would be the only ones (!?) worldwide that do NOT do the tuning by increasing the loading pressure and injection pressure, but they work with changes in the diesel air mixture. It’s not understandable to me as layman. But in my opinion, it sounds quite good if the loading pressure and injection pressure are not increased. Is that a humbug? Is it possible to increase the performance of the CDI only by means of chip without increasing the pressure? Moin MT I would get really interested in the running times of the diesel engines back then ( 90s, 2000 around ). from the 300s, to the first CDIs. And how do you estimate the running times of the engines so from 2006-today? ( With the greatest – possible care ! ) I personally have an M111 ( yes benziner, I know. the runs like on the first day ) And an OM613 ! It also runs perfectly and like on the first day ! with now 190,000 still full speed !!!! I am happy to answer Ale n another nice week with kind regards Alfred
