Hello together, I am just exploring the R class market and have a question to which I have not yet been able to find an answer. Since we are “only” a family of 4 I am actually not looking for a 6 or 7 seater, but rather a long version with 5 seats. Since these are quite difficult to find, I slowly also consider buying a R class with retractable 3rd row of seats. However, I want to lose as little space as possible for this actually not needed extra. As far as I know, a long version with 5 seats has 633/2360 liters of trunk volume. My question, how much trunk volume has a long version with folded 3rd row of seats? Are there any other disadvantages of the 3rd row of seats?

I’m over from ML to R class
Hello dear R-community, I did a R 320 long last week and I’m excited about this car. My last one was a ML 270CDI, with which I was very happy to go under. But the R-class is something special……. I’m living in Norway and I’m looking forward to my first tour to Germany. Now to my problem… Yes, unfortunately it’s the case that I had the car for 2 days and the first problem appeared. 🙁 When I bought the car, the seller gave me such a kl a battery pressed into my hand and told me that it was defective and that he bought this new one, which I now have to install myself. He told me that this battery is going to go where the big main battery is. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this little one at the main battery, but I probably saw more that my poles are totally oksed. Now I’ve disconnected the battery, cleaned the poles and from now on my stationary heating and my compass is gone. where is this little battery and why is Webasto and compass no longer going? Would you be very grateful.

Hub nozzle A2518600547 replace … how to? or manual available?!
Hello, I noticed during the last headlight cleaning process that the driver side no longer cleans/sprays the headlight, but rather the car driving ahead. That’s kind of funny and I could also “happy” passers-by or a police control with it, but I prefer an intact headlight cleaning. Now the new lift nozzle is in front of me … but I really have to dismantle the complete front bumper to solve the “one” screw of the old lift nozzle to be able to??? I am grateful for any helpful hint!!!

CD ́s stuck
Hello dear R community, I’m looking for some tips on how to get my radio/CD changer to run again. Since my last camping holiday with the kids my drive is completely jammed. I think the three ??? audio games of my kids are to blame. I can neither eject CD-s nor new insert. the ad claims 3 places occupied and 4 free. Playing is also not possible. With each turn on the device tries to make a CD run for about 1 minute and then breaks My friend spoke of the fact that the whole center console has to be removed and the whole unit is then sent in. (about 3 weeks processing time). Costs if it is reparable approx. 1000 Euro or everything new for approx. 3000,-€. That I can no longer hear CD ́s is not so bad, but I can never make a Navi update again, moreover I fear that the harm a possible sales value significantly lowers. Would me over a few tips to look forward to. Thank you

Please ASSESSMENT, motor control lamp
Hello dear forum, I am traveling with my R500 to South France as once the yellow engine control light concerns. In the manual it says, check tank cover, and it could be that no Bensin is in it. Was half full and is now fully fuelled. However, the lamp remains on (( Otherwise it could be a problem of: – fuel injection – exhaust system – ignition system What can/should I do? It is 7 o’clock in the evening, and I am still 500km away from my destination. And look what happens? At worst, the engine falls into the emergency program. Could I complete my way with it? What do you get in the 500 with 306ps? Have always fuelled Super Plus until now. Did more octan be always better. Or 95s? Not that I did something wrong with it? Please… HELFT MIR (( Thanks in advance Mfg Kay

R Klasse what’s broken at the Airmatic?
Hello, have a Mercedes R 320 cdi 4 Matic. before a few I noticed that when I pressed on the button level the car is not lifted and 2 days later the car was in front much lower than before. There has been nothing changed in driving behavior but always when I want to drive now into the garage he hits the ground because it is too low at the front. What’s broken? How much does the repair cost? Thank you

AMG 21 inch with Pirelli P ZERO
Hello, on my R500 the 20 inch AMG wheels were delivered as a special equipment. Since I wanted even bigger ones I looked in the papers what still goes on the R-Class and got me AMG Styling 3 – these were previously on an Audi on it with flat tires, but are without damage and places. I have of course not mounted them yet, I do this only in the summer. How would you estimate that, high-gloss polished rims are a bit “too shrill” for the Aut (it sol I’m just an “original” freak and therefore I just wanted to buy original Mercedes/AMG parts. I thought, take the original R-Class AMG 21 inch wheels you can also buy from MB, but let them polish high-gloss (costed 400 euros per rim). Wanted in total “decent series with small “Plus”. Would you rather drive original silver or do you find it cool with the high-gloss polished ones? Now I still got tyres from one known If you still have 6mm profile, it is Pirelli P-Zero 265/40 ZR21 as prescribed, but as an identifier there is only “B”. Would you rather buy others, so which with MO identifier or doesn’t really matter? I found nothing about identification “B” and I don’t find any models for Pirelli for 21 inches and R-Class – only up to 20 inches, funny… So I would then in the summer the 9×21 ET 60 and ET 48 styling 3 with the number A251… and the Pirelli P Zero B identifier z Is there anything against it?

Retrofitted Distronic without function
Hello friends of the room glider, I have the following problem: A short time ago I discovered a forum here, that was called “Distronic from today on board”. All right I thought to myself, if this is so easy I (self car mechatronics technician) can do so too. So said, done! I ordered all the parts (sensor, steering pole switch, cover plate) and I built the cable set myself. When I had installed all the parts I put it into the following ECUs with my StarDiagnosis I had to drive to the workshop and have it encoded for the ESP. Now I get the error message “Distronic without function” in the instrument cluster, if I read out the vehicle with my laptop, there is an error message in the ESP and in the Distronic an exclamation mark behind it. If I look at the error in detail he writes to me in the ESP: “ESP ECU (N47/5) or ECU DTR (A89) new p In the event memory of the Distronic it says: “The CAN communication is disturbed”! Then I carried out a voltage test on the front of the plug by means of a multimeter. The power supply is (12V) and the CAN is clearly measurable (2,3V and 2,8V), moreover I can access the control unit. Despite all this, I have now re-enacted the CAN bus lines and got the same error message. “The CAN communication is disturbed” Now ask ic h here for advice and would be very grateful about your proposals for solutions.

What tyre size on original AMG 20″ rims?
Hello, I bought summer rims (see appendix) afterwards for my R 500 and currently drive 275/40/20 tyres on it. However, as they are worn out soon and I do not want to mount the tyres specified by Mercedes (265/45 20), I would be interested to know which tyre size you ride on your 20-inch tyres? I don’t care about the type of tyre, this is a matter of faith, only the size interests me. I already have the same rims with the tyre size 275/50 20 ge see!…therefore my question. according to tire calculator should not work but 275/50 20, since these 5% would not show enough (compared to 265/45/20) on the speedometer and that would not be allowed!? Thank you very much Martin P.S.: I know that only two screws are mounted in the rim…this was only a test and now all screws are available! 😉
