Hello, on my R-Class 320 tdi 4Matic, 2006 the rear “air spring bellows” and the compressor were recently renewed. After a short time the car slid off back again. The compressor does not start, my screwdriver thinks it could be the electronics. The relay was changed, but did not adapt to the car – the engine turned, but did not jump on, so old relay was re-used. Has someone done the same or similar experience, or has someone tips to remedy this. ? I would be very grateful and would be happy!

Help R280 13.7l Consumption with quiet driving, normal?
Hello everyone, look for your experiences and experiences that will help me make a comparison.To the problem, about 6 weeks ago I bought a R280 (petrol) 4×2 short, first registration in 2008, checkbook maintained at MB, at my MB dealer. At takeover he got a new big inspection. The R-Class is a 5 seater, motor 272 with comand and trailer coupling etc. (information due to vehicle weight). According to operating instructions the consumption on the motorway is 8,6-8.8 liters and i m average 63% highway 37% city 10.9l. I have a very gentle gas foot and move the vehicle mainly on the flat land (almost no traffic lights, traffic jams, etc.) and on the highway usually hit with cruise control at 120 km/h rarely even at 150 km/h, no frantic driving maneuvers simple predictive driving. Have now good 3700km behind me with an average consumption of 13.7 liters (calculated by tank receipts and driven kilometers) at good (all 80% highway, 15% land and 5% city traffic. A conversation with my MB seller has of course already taken place the car was also read out briefly (some errors in the memory), supposedly everything normal … stop the usual bla bla didn’t really want to help me get rid of me quickly. I made a consumption trip in the first 14 days after purchase = extreme sneaking, very slow driving almost never over 2000 rpm etc. at approx. -1°C, 95% highway 5% L and s. 280km consumption 12.7litres (calculated as above) So far from the 8.8l. I recently made the second consumption trip at +10°C and according to instructions from MB, all consumers from = no climate, light etc., pure highway ride, start of the measurement with warm engine, refueling at the same tank / position etc. consumption = 10l14,43% above the manufacturer’s specification. The measuring drives of about 500km extreme loops are in my above 3700km with an additional consumption of weni 26% (via manufacturer’s specification) are included. 1. I find that quite a lot or is this a normal consumption for this vehicle? 2. How are your experiences? 3. My guess is that what is wrong with the vehicle, but the error is not stored in the error memory or is not displayed in the short test is also possible? Thanks already for any help / experience. R 320 16 liters of normal consumption?
Hi guys, I drive a R 320 long and I’m actually very satisfied.Only the consumption bothers me.In the city he takes 16 liters.On track around the 10-11 liters.When I bought the car he didn’t take so much. Route 8-9 liters, town 12 liters.With time it became more and more.Have at the moment 18 inches winter bikes on it.Does anyone have experience with it?Can you do what?Software?And the tank indicator is very inaccurate, shows more times less.Do you have that in your R classes too? kbar for answers.

Luggage compartment Rollo does not roll up
Do you have the problem that this USA Rollo no longer roll up.Have the cap where the lock switch is on get off,so right side if you stand in front of it,I don’t get the left side without violence.Did the rollo on the open side rotate multiple times until voltage occurs, lid with switch on it again,result does not roll up.What can/must I do to roll it up on my own again???? How do I get rid of the left side without destroying the lid??,

Cracking on the front axle when starting in the curve ???
Hello , have had a problem with my R-Class 2006 bj. ,96000 KM R 320 CDI 4matic for one month. When I drive out of our driveway and turn to the main road I hear a crackling noise from the front axle . It does not sound like the rattling noise of a defective wheel bearing and it sometimes only sporadically occurs . It cracks 2-3 times when starting . Was therefore already twice at MB . There however only something was changed at the steering , the master was at pickup the opinion that everything is okay and nothing cracks anymore. Unfortunately, that was not so.It is not very loud to hear but I hear it just and notice it in the foot. Was also already at a private check from the TÜV since I bought the R only in February, but also the TÜV meant it is all OK. I am a bit at a loss, I should rather go to another MB workshop, have still the Young Stars guarantee. Thank you for your answers.

Alternative to R-Class
Tach together, I will be able to drive my leased R for about a year, then something new has to be done. Now, however, it is clear that the R-Class is no longer available as a new vehicle, the question will arise about the alternative. My requirement profile is (1) spacious for 6-7 people or a lot of room for e.g. buying a hardware store, (2) comfortable, safe and fast. R320, many defects, but everything will be fine!!!
Yesterday I brought my R into the workshop because of several defects. 1. Transmission sometimes does not switch and remains in large gear, manual high and down switch is not possible. First ignition on and off it brings it to switch again. 2. Loud knocking noises from the chassis in bad ways. 3. Parking brake does not pull. So for the first time I was quite disappointed by Mercedes and all the defects already at 40,000km. I had 2 Nissan before, which had after 3 or 5 years k Today I got a call from the workshop and the master gave me the following information: to 1. a hydraulic controller on the gearbox is defective and is replaced. to 2. Airmatic valves are not working properly, the fault is the control part, which is exchanged, problem is well known with Mercedes to 3. Brake was replaced In addition, probably also something on the steering gear was defective and we repaired. My car is from 12/06, but in this case my Mercedes Ge needcar guarantee together with culant. Costs for me: none!!! I’m already excited when I get the car back on Monday.

Retrofit Media Interface / Upgrade to Media Interface Plus
Hello dear r-drivers, I have been driving my 320 cdi in long 2008 and miss only one thing in the meantime painful: the media interface! meanwhile I have my ipad as a mediastation via aux as an alternative solution to comand aps (that without sd-slot); both for navigation as well as radio or ipod function. everything is also great, only recently I stumbled over these links:media interface plus in the usa media interface plus in Austria the media interface plus sounds somehow tempting. and according to the usa faq’s should also work in the r-class. does any of you know the part or is there someone who even has it??? now I ask myself if it makes sense to retrofit the media interface (code 518, if I remember correctly). that’s a prerequisite for the plus interface. what does the fun cost about that? I would also have a cd changer in the glove compartment, which I have never used before… there is any cable lösu ngen to replace the one with the media interface? would be great if someone could say something about it. or maybe you also know interesting alternative solutions!!! greeting r-surfer
