Maintenance costs 500 SEC
Hello! In advance: I don’t know much about the 126 series. About me: My name is Andreas, am 17 years old and I currently have a 230 CE (W124), Vormopf, EZ 1989, 180 tkm, 3. Hand [not yet registered, as only accompanied driving is possible (nerves…)]. I live in rural area and drive about 8.000 km a year. Approx. 70-80% rural road. City 20-30 %. Highway in everyday life is not at all. I find the C126 simply unbelievably beautiful, for my terms this is the most beautiful coupé all r times, so I seriously think about replacing the E-Class with the S-Class (with 17 certainly not quite usual). The purchase would be less the problem, rather the maintenance, maintenance and repair costs cause me severe headaches. It would be possible that I run the insurance over my grandmother (30%, never an accident). What costs can I expect about? Consumption with a dignified driving method 15-17 l? The taxes for this thick Benz should and be the absolute usury, especially without KAT, right? moinmoin, so I have no idea if this is already common in other cities, but for the brave benztown it is definitely a premiere. this morning a black unbasked w221-vormopf drove with identification marks wn through the city stuttgart and on the rear apron prangte giantdick (äh, hi sigmund f.!) Meaningfully: “NEU – BORDELL XYZ – NEW” etc. I was so perplexed, I didn’t even get the mobile to snap out fast enough. that’s how far it’s come. yussuf and dragan in old towns but this fraction with the yellow fingers in what mb still looks like a state of the art in things pkw and dignifiedness comes to me vomit. if this goes on, the ship comes into the foreclosure and I drive the next 10 years youngtimer, e.g. the beautiful jag 4,0 liter xj 40 with just a few kilometers from the neighboring garage. there would never be a invited one sitting in, clear, looks like style and not like thick pants, d he hunts so long

Engine stutters and doesn’t start now
My car an 8 cylinder 420S from 1991 has the following problem: About 2 years ago the engine started to stutter after about 10 minutes of driving, as one knows from the old carburetor engines, when the engine is cold and does not want to take any gas. That went away again and again. It seems to be a gasoline problem, because the exhaust did not smell like petrol at this stage. In time it became worse, until every time one gassed at low speed. A few days ago, this deteriorated so that, when it went up, it was hardly possible to start up, the engine ran only on a few cylinders. Today, it was time for the engine to run for a short time and to go out of it again. Now, the special thing is that when I pull the plug from the air mass meter the engine runs almost n Ormal. You can’t notice anything while driving. I installed another air mass meter for the test and the engine was running optimally at first, but only about 2 minutes then it was like before. I then installed the old air mass meter again and the engine also ran normal for 2 minutes, but then no longer. Still I can drive normally without air mass meter. Does anyone know a similar problem? I am at the end of my art and would be grateful for every hint. once again I have the error memory read out, but do not promise me much of it.

W220 Comand 2.0 does not receive a SAT signal (no GPS)
Hello, maybe someone can help. I converted my Comand 2.5 to Comand 2.0. Everything works great, except SAT Feels for the Navi Although I’m in Hamburg, the Navi believes I’m in Hildesheim Top right in the corner is only 00SAT It looks like the Navi doesn’t get a satellite signal. What can it be? I have attached a new plug to the cable of the GPS antenna and that should be no problem, right? Thanks for every hint Gruss from Hamburg

W 220 as used: Goods are becoming ever rarer….
It seems to me as if the sale of the W 220 on the GW market has slowly begun. I observe the GW market especially the offers of the S-Class W 220 for 2 years intensively on the Internet. Currently probably the favorable petrol prices contribute to, which even stand clocks which are partly already for over a year at the dealer, were sold. Speaking of dealer: Some dealers offer for me interesting S 320 or S 430 with payment name, financing and GW guarantee he and if you call then you will know that the car is not sold to private but only to resellers. Weak start on the S 320 cdi W220?
Hello everyone, first of all I would like to introduce myself. I am Matthias and am already proud owner of an S220 built in 1965. Now I would like to buy and drive an S-Class as a everyday vehicle. Specifically it is to become an S 320 cdi of the series W220. After I have read in the forum diligently and at least got a rough idea about the weaknesses, I was allowed on Saturday, at a larger car dealership nearby, for the first time in a S 320 c I was surprised and disappointed by an extreme starting weakness. Even with a warm engine, almost nothing happened when starting from the stand. Only from about 2200 rpm it felt as if a switch was being changed and there was suddenly power. It really felt as if the vehicle had no power at all. Under 2000 rpm there was no trace of torque, so even an E 240 T w210 looks like a racing machine… Well, my question: has the “old” in front of Mopf engine with 197 hp such a crazy turbo hole? Hello S-class friends. A buddy has a nice W 140 S500 Coupe bj 1994 with about 50000km. He has the problem that the electric mirrors no longer work, and slightly wobble, since apparently there is no voltage on the actuator, besides the steering wheel adjustment and as far as I know the memory function of the seat no longer goes. Since I read in the forum that the cable will probably be damaged inside the mirror, we controlled it, but no defect or cable breakage The switch in the center console also seems to be fine. What possibilities are there still? Is it possible that the ECU N32/11 is defective? If yes, where is this?
