    Moin from Hamburg! As quite a MB newcomer I was quite surprised that the friendly around the corner offered me the change of the automatic oil for my 89er 500 SE at a great price. However, I was even more surprised than on the bill only 5.5 l ATF – ÖL appeared. According to my MB original manual, however, the change should replace 7.7 l ATF oil. As far as I know are the oil-filled bearing, two for the engine, one for the Autom. transmission. So on these three bearings, lies the drive unit.   • My engine is weird…

    Hello I am again! I was with a further screwdriver of my trust today and have the car on the lifting platform for the purpose of the rusting of the axle already in my eye. It came out that this rusting is probably half as wild and will cost me probably 500 to 600 €. On the actual topic: My engine loses a lot of oil. I have already suspected the valve shaft seals, but the whole engine dries externally. Is a good corosion protection, but I will be too expensive in the long term. What can this be? Head gasket? Is there “classic” that cause this? Last Sunday my beauty has remained lying. Gas pump relays broken. Simply went out without warning in operation. However, I noticed that what is lazy because I had to leave it about 1.5 seconds until the jump. Since the relay and some cables were changed, they jump again without problems at no matter how cold it is and above all the speed I had recently reported. How can not be fired by the fuel consumption? So it was easy to find out that I was able to fix the fuel pressure.

So now it’s new: In the summer of 2008 it started: in the longer orgel, until the car started to work, he didn’t go at all. I changed the following parts due to tips: – spark plugs – ignition distributor lid – ignition cable – ignition coil – fuel filter – fuel pump relay (160,-!!!) Not everything at once, and after each exchange he ran again quite wonderful for a few days. The first ignition coil (90,-) was totally charred, the second one is now in it. The cable was bad, and so I hoped that this would have been the problem – thought! So now I have a giant Wut and at the same time the total Frust. What can’t be on this mill (which was a wonderful vehicle) but still my still has to be broken? The candles have to be lit up again.
