  • S-class engine conversion??????????

Hello and good evening to the forum! I have read a bit through the forum here and think that there are pretty good people and good tips here. Therefore my short-term drift into the forum. I would like to get your competent help or opinion with my possible project, because I am just thinking seriously about a motor and gearbox conversion with my S-Class 320Cdi Bj.02 (before facelift) so still with 197 hp. I would like to get the new 320CDI (224hp) engine from the current e-class and the corresponding gearbox have installed in my S-class. It is not about the conversion costs that will then come to me, also not about the pure installation of the engine/gear unit, my question to you applies exclusively to the technical i.e. electronic feasibility.!!! I am grateful for any usable answer!! Many D A N K ! ! Greeting to the forum. P.S. Would like to introduce me briefly ; I am 39 years, come from the Osnabrücker room , am in the Autom This was the first time in the history of the European Union.

  • I love with a 126

Hello, since I think the 126er has been a desirable car for a long time now, I think with a little more seriousness about a purchase. A V8 of the 2nd series has to be already, preferably a SEL, but I think this should not be the purchase criterion par excellence. Since I have no experience with the construction works, except occasionally, I need some input from the experts here. If you leave your fingers off the motorizations before autumn 87, see the 420er is the power difference from the 420 to the 500s so great that the 420s is not recommended (560s really doesn’t have to be)? What consumption do you have to expect from realissc, if you drive A) correct long distance at moderate speed (holiday trip to France, which is to be done once or twice each year) and B) with the calm but not creeping driving in rural areas with routes between 20 and 5 What are K.o-criteria in the car (I am looking for what will not be a permanent construction site, but rather take me for myself mainly by technical reliability) – according to my previous experiences I have to say: airbag and sunroof are negligible (except he would not have a climate, which I would then consider if it were an offer that cannot be dropped out), and el. window-roofs do not even have it (can be cranked). Oh yes. Le it falls flat when third series, because I don’t like the door coverings at all. Would be nice if someone could give me some tips.

  • W220 Switch fixed installation phone?

Hello, I also have to give you the spirit again because for a long time VF and their Twin-Card bothers me! The problem is that I have a K800 and just the car phone of Mercedes (believe code 354). If both phones are on and I turn off the phone then I am no longer able to reach for several hours on the car phone. Sometimes it is enough if I call someone with the car phone that it then works. Then I have to turn it off so that it can re-select and it I’m so excited again today that I called the customer service of my telephone provider again and there they told me it’s on the car phone and an old telephone standard?!?!!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want every phone to ring when it’s on and when one is turned off not the other one is silent for hours. Have the week now also spoken to my workshop and I was asked to It is said that I need a different telephone control unit and partly new cabling only to have a telephone a la Nokia 6310i. To do this, I have the uncertainty whether this will work as I hoped and at a price of at least €800. But you didn’t know directly about the strange log-in behavior of the Mercedes/Nokia fixed-mount telephone. I hope someone can show me a possibility here. Ega l what main thing I have 2 phones with a number that, when they are on, both ring. In the past there was an extra number for the “pink giant” at the Twin-Card for a Sim which was by a number higher than the actual phone number. But I think I deleted that everywhere without replacement because that was absolutely great. Well, see how the topic will end! Vllt. “MESSE” we get a new mobile hardware for the phone contract mfg Freddykl

  • Battery change at the W 220

Since I have had a completely empty battery in the last few weeks 2 times in the morning (with all the theatre due to starting aid ADAC and so from the engine compartment, since even the boot or the automatic selector lever did not work anymore), I would like to change the battery now. I have to find out that I can not even expand the battery. The maintenance booklet describes very lapidary that nut the bracket should be loosened and removed, but: I cannot discover any bracket, the battery sits as if cast in her place, nowhere to see a fastening. Behind there is still a plastic / foam covered part that I can not identify (floor heating? a part for the air suspension?). Can someone with a same model (S 320 CDI L, full equipment) please give me a tip on how the battery is removed? Many thanks to all and many greetings King Lion

  • W140 or W126

Dear Starfriends Ride, highly satisfied, a 300 SEL (W126). Now I have the opportunity to buy a top-notch (wholeless service booklet of course), unbasked, 300 SEL (W140 – with 3.2 liter engine) – built in 1991, nearly 160’000 km mileage, leather, climate, airbags, automatic antenna, etc. What it does not have: heatable front seats, electric seat adjustment – although the latter does not bother me at all; admitted, the heating function is useful. I know and have studied them. I am particularly interested in opinions of MB drivers who know BEDE series. I am not a frequent driver (monthly approx. 500 kilometers). Twice S-Class doesn’t have to be, one vehicle is enough for me; so I recently sold my 300 CE-24 to a good friend (and MB fan 100 %). I thank you very much for your assessments! Best regards TAKIS

  • Navigation CDs for W220

Hello together and merry Christmas :-), I have a W220 Bj. 99 S500 and have a Navi CD Teleatlas 1999 that works perfectly. Now I thought of a more up-to-date version could not hurt 🙂 and ordered me Blaupunkt Travel Pilot Germany 2005/2006 (no DX). When the 3 CDs came I tried out immediately with the result: no navigation CD please change CD. With all three no success. The whole returned and got new. Again with the same Erg ebnis, my Navi (Command D) does not recognize the CDs. The old one is easily recognized and read and funtioned. Does anyone have an idea what the mistake can be? Thanks to you and greeting M

  • Remove Kats – more power?

Apart from that, the BE goes out and then you can’t drive in public road traffic anymore… What does that mean to remove the cats and replace them with simple pipes (cat replacement pipes). Some of my people have done this and report a noticeable increase in performance (S8, S6 and an A8 4.2) What about it? Or is it just the subjective impression because the car is getting louder… I have expressed my concerns about the exhaust flow of the vehicles? but exactly adapted to the engine is right? Please don’t have any instructions, one should know something more precise, especially in the V8 >300ps class then please get the information. Greetings from the capital Schulle

  • Outer mirror works very slowly

hello, have the search already tried but found nothing. have bought the s430 before a week, have now found the following problem: if I have the outside mirror fold in, this is done on the side of the driver quite normal, however on the side of the driver it takes about twice as long as on the side of the driver. one hears on the driver side a quiet “tack-tack” as if the teeth would not grip correctly. does anyone know this problem? handles here the MB-europa-guarantee? car has circ a 88′ down and is completely stapled and was also bought at a MB branch.

  • THE COMPARISON TWO CENTURY AUTOS: Bentley Flying Spur and MB S600

Bentley Flying Spur or MB S 600? The fascinating report by user (and Bentley owner) SamRS6 has led me to make the comparison Bentley Flying Spur and Mercedes S600 (W221) one of the three most attractive limousines in the world!! How do you see the comparison? Who do you see in front / would you buy? Both are fantastically motorized. b) Bentley: permanent all-wheel drive/6-speed automatic transmission 3. Dimensions and weights: a) S600:2180 kg/L: 5206 mm, B: 1871 mm b) Bentley: 2475 kg/L: 5307 mm, B:1916 mm Decisions should be made to compare the subjective points: driving feeling, design, where I feel better off ? ……. The Mercedes looks more modern in design (despite its style), the Bentley is a car with a very dignified, almost aristocratic appearance. Driving active (and driving fun) are both cars: the S600 with its ABC chassis; Bentley is not a pure glider like the Rolls-Royce by its own understanding. The interior looks more classic and noble in Bentley than the S600. “The Workplace” of Bentley, the “Rolls-Royce for Self-Drivers”, looks even more lu Stronger than the S-Class. Also for the Bentley the easier operation (no menu control) and not to forget the better traction. Which one should I buy? P.S.: Both cars were tested in the “auto motor und sport” (both rated 5 stars). The S 600 in issue 3/2006 (18.1.2006), the Bentley in issue 14/2005 (22.6.2005). Both tests can be read against payment: 1. MB S 600:http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/…/?slnr=26041 2.
