Mercedes W126 USA with diesel engine, ask for some information!
Hello! I read a lot about the W126, (see the rear axlesthread), and I find the W126 from the USA very interesting, and have some questions about it. 1.) The 300 SDL has the same engine as the W124 E 300 turbodiesel, right? 2.) 300 SDL had a soot filter, which exhaust gas standard does it meet in Germany? 2.1) How did it work, and how was it durable? 3. The 350 SD(L) has the same engine as its successor, the W140. However, the W126 was written at least, More torque (320 nm), but less power (136 hp). How can this be explained? 4.) Can one ensure such vehicles here in Germany quite regularly? At the HUK24 in the online form the W126 diesel did not exist. (Because they were never offered here…) Thanks already in advance!

I thought it was normal but then I saw that it is not like that with the others or it closes there flush buw that is sealed with a rubber! I’d be interested to know how much Km your tanks already have on the clock. My W220 320 Cdi has already dropped 370.000 Km and the w140 350 TD has 220.000 Km I was curious if someone has a w220, which has more Km on the speedometer than I do.
