CL500 vs. CL600 – long-haul vehicles with driving fun? hello together, I am currently looking for a pleasant long-haul vehicle with sufficient performance to also have some joy driving (yes, I know.. other manufacturers ;-). because of a km-performance of approx.40tkm p.a. the consideration of a rather older vehicle with moderate running performance is pressing to acquire so to defy the decline in value (yes, it is clear to me that a v8/v12 mainly in the I am particularly interested in the w140 v8/v12 models, both limousine and coupe. – what differences can be expected between the motorizations (pre-/disadvantages?)? – what are special weak spots/diseases (flows 100-180tkm, BJ 91-96)? – even if I may be struck for this: how are the ms? units for the driving comfort of the AMG suspensions (one of the main routes goes through the black forest)? for your best thanks in advance.

Hello With my W140 400SE Built. 91 the steering wheel is jerking at a speed between 85 and 105 km/h. Is such a kind vibrating. Before and after it is gone again. Is this normal or does a damage occur? Or is it possibly due to an imbalance in the tire or rim? Thank you for your help.

A new “small” problem which costs about 1000 EUR. 2 months ago he was at the service now, and now at 120000km he has a gearbox damage. Hello together, have a question…! I own an S430 of 4/2001 equipped with Comand. Does the CD drive from the Comand only read navigation CD’s and no music CD like the normal Comand like e.g. in a CLK? Can you let this unlock somehow or do you have to have a CD changer installed? mfg

Hello , am new here in the forum. I have read here many times and have a question to you now, hope you can help me: I have a s500 w220 bj99 unfortunately without Xenon. Now I got DEPO headlights (I know nothing about original, but I got them cheaply). Now my problem is that the headlights have a normal connection to the vehicle plug, but the headlights have another cable, which looks out in the back. but no further free cable. I think that this cable is for the LWR, so I am irritated that every w220 has an automatic LWR as standard. PS I still have an original Bosch headlight here, which does not have this further connection, he must still have an LWR inside, Isn’t that right?

Hello! With my S320 with Prins gas system I drove the gas tank empty this morning and as always the system then jumped on petrol. At the same time however the engine control light approached and the engine was in emergency run. Shortly later in the parking lot I still parked in trek mode. I started off and again: Lief again normal, only the lamp remained on. In the manual it says that the lamp after emptying (from the petrol tank) after 3-4 start operations is extinguished. I also try, however, without success. Does this happen every now and then, that happens with the LPG-learing? (Was now the first time) Does the lamp only turn off in the workshop? Good day, may any of you know a “rentner” or collector’s garage where you can still find top W140? So really vehicles with kilometers around 20,000? I had to endure a video recently on the Internet by some Russians, “circles” having shot with an S600… Really bad to see that when I then looked at the odometer I saw 38,000!! I was really shocked to see this because from the outside the vehicle saw rather like an unkept 300,000km Car off. I hope there are enough collectors in this country to secure these cars! Maybe someone even owns an original AMG, I would be really grateful for information Although I saw a real top S600 a few months ago for 30,000€ and 4,000km!!!! This car was for 1 day in a public sales portal and the next day away again! With 30,000€ for such a vehicle really is already gifted!
