  • Sound in the S-Class

Dear S-Klässler, I’m not the Doc (sorry, 220bmg), but I like the idea: small survey, what kind of music do you listen to in the S-Class? I’m a classic fan for my part and usually listen to something from this pot, it fits well to the relaxed gliding. Of course there are also exceptions, e.g. the first exit after a long time on a winter clear day, the sun shines, the highway is empty: what is paast there better than Wagner’s Walkürenritt? Now I’m curious about what’s going on with you, Musikric htung, Decade, Interpreters, Concrete Hits? Just out with it! Star Greetings from Ingolf

  • W126 LMO question

Hello together I have a question about my 300SE Jg. 87 because of the ABS. It’s like I’m not allowed to drive yet and the 126er doesn’t have a TÜV yet (comes in January), so I can’t say much information about driving or braking behavior. In all cases it was so that main father and I went on a bigger test drive 2 weeks ago, because we had eliminated all major technical defects. We then made about 80km/h a full brake and the rear wheels blocked! that?, actually not because of the ABS? And now we are at the next problem I have not checked the indicator light yet, however, fear that this is defective, because the hand brake control light is defective, which always lighted when I pressed the brake and suddenly it did not do so anymore, I suppose the ABS lamp is also gone. And now I come to the last question: If you turn on the ignition, should all the lamps light? I also have the ASD verba ut and this lamp doesn’t glow either, if the ignition is one, would that be right? With me, in general, only about half of the control lamps is that good? My manual for the car is on Italian and this I speak little to no at all…

  • Do xenons stick for narrowland?

moinmoin, christmas time – holiday planning for the next year. it goes 3 weeks to Scotland and England (ship zeebrügge – hull, then high edinburgh, then down to brighton, with eurostar back). 1. question: mb offers NO adhesive set for the asymmetric dipped light of the xenons of the w220 (“light-o-tronic” or something like that for 50 euro could have come up with a marketing fuzzi, after all, are polyglot, the desired customers of mb). who has a different source for what konfek Is it not clear which parts have to be glued off – and with what? at the end, some sticky ones are again poison for the spreaders. (the bobby should call pounds at a sensitive height if you are on the road as a “blend from the continent.”) 2. question: not quite concis are the internet information about great routes in England. who knows exactly, who knows the paid distances? there is something else important about traffic in close proximity. land (except that you drive better left – grins). 3. ask: already someone with a ship (so w220 is meant) was at the top of Scotland, how are the roads there? so that the ship is still going on or you are afraid of airmatic, suspension, rims and so on better turned, if it should go out of the bigger places. who doesn’t want to write everything, pn with telephone is also welcome (because this is certainly not sooo the general-interesting thread). s o long – and beautiful holidays all here

  • Grate points on the W126

Hello friends of 126! I already have some rust spots on my W126. No rusts or something like that, also no particularly large, but nevertheless all around smaller varnish blooms and bubble formations in larger numbers. Throughout typical 126 rust spots. My question, did or did you also have which like you bought your 126er? Who let them go with a specialist and what did you pay for it? Did someone already seal or let grow their underbody? n?? What does this mean in the cut? Are actions that I want to take on in the spring. Now he is standing over the winter in the garage… I would be interested in house numbers… Thank you! MfG SirQuickly

  • From 500SL to S600C?

Hello S-Class driver, I have been driving a SL500 1999 R129 for almost 5 months. I am very interested in an S-Class. But now I have 2 to choose from, which I don’t know which one to take… 1. C140 600CL V12 Well, I’m a 90s build year and it’s always been my childhood dream of the C140 and the r129… From construction year 1995 so mopf c140 Which shit does the c140 so? so what often breaks down..how are the spare parts prices at the moment? I often read about the consumption of 25L how much is m Achievable with normal driving mode? is 15L feasible? 2. C215 600CL V12 rather Mopf or pre-mopf? 367ps vs. 500ps? What kind of diseases does this vehicle often break? how are the spare parts prices? from the consumption how much does it swallow so probably less than the C140 since new engine…is 14L realistic? my 500 306ps ’99 I have always driven with about 13L and for once it was pressed and 20L were now and then no problem…. How is the Comand from 1999 in contrast to the Mopf 200 6? How is the consumption difference between 500ps v12 and premopf 367ps v12? eig. i would grab the c216 but that is still expensive at the moment so I can not afford it at the moment – unfortunately. i tend very strongly to the C140 because it is simply the best S-class (my opinion) which has ever been built… i know that a 600 is not a fuel saver but i find once in life one should confuse his dreams What appeals to me is eig. only to the CL 600 C215 that it has a comand…. there are also many C140 with TV etc…. which is of course very rare and if there is one then over 25.000Euro…and for over 25.000Euro I would rather do bitsl and grab right at the sl600 that was until now. If there are perhaps a few users here who drive a 600 CL c140 and the C215 as v12 please share experience… My driving way is so that I hardly use the car during the week weekend but a lot…. My work is exactly in de r inner city so that everywhere are only parking tickets and almost no parking space is to be found and one is better off with public transport so about. max. 1.500km per month. What is most important for me from The equipment is: PDC, TElefon, Navi, stand-up heating, seat heating what is natülrich in it…. from the outside color Black at c140 or also dark blue and at c215 Silver or Black Greeting, V.

  • W220, battery preventively changed

My battery was only 3 years old, but in the morning the heater ran several times only about half an hour instead of the possible 50 minutes. On Tuesday we had -4 degrees, that also occurred again. I then drove 30 km without light (mainly highway), turned on the heater again and visited a customer for a short time (about 15 minutes). When I came back, I sat back (to prepare documents) and switched on the seat heating, the switch bli However, it was only possible and the heating stopped shortly afterwards. As I will drive almost 2500 km over Christmas/Silvester (incusiv Poland and the Czech Republic), there is also a week’s service life at frosty temperatures in the ski area, I bought a new battery from MB and installed it there in front of the door. Of course, I took the advice from the forum into account and turned on full light with fog lamps to avoid damage. Current price is 218 €, an other I didn’t want to, because I have good experience with MB batteries so far. MB tested my old battery and called me today. They could not detect any errors, however, they had only a rough test done. On their device “defect”, “charge” and “in order” (or so similar) is displayed. Today we also had -2 degrees. My own test with the new battery was successful. I ran the preheating again during a customer visit, afterwards reing esett (without engine run) and all 4 seat heaters switched on over several minutes, no failures. So the new battery has significantly more reserves. I was perhaps a little overcautious, for this I now have the good feeling that the battery will probably not let me down at an unfavorable time in the near future. lg Rüdiger:-)

  • w220 ABC Problem

Hello municipality, I am just on vacation with my w220. I parked the car yesterday evening and today it is suddenly wrong. At the back right it is very strongly sunk down. If I then pump up the car it will also be right at the rear, but still remains lower than on the other wheels. Do I now have to calculate with a broken valve block at the back? Should it cost around 1500€ in Germany? What should I pay attention to, what should be checked in the workshop, because I I’m just in Turkey and I want to be careful that they don’t knock me out. I also doubt that they have experience with ABC drivers. ?ch am The car didn’t drive a meter since I noticed that. It’s probably better not to move the car until it’s repaired, right? ?ch was riding the bike over a big stone last week, with my rear right tyre bursting (40€ for 2 new ones paid, scotch cheater). What else could have been broken? Can someone tell me how to check this bar? (have experience in screwing, unfortunately not with mercedes) Since I am on vacation, my location is a bit awkward, since I don’t trust the factory staff here. If someone could give me a tip here, I would be very grateful. With kind greetings from Antalya.

  • S 600 in UAE?

Hello, I have been living in the United Arab Emirates for a short time and wanted to buy a very cheap, reliable car as the rental costs eat you up and in some place you have to save! On the Internet on autotraderuae.com someone offers an E 500 from 1994 (gulf specs) without km indication and price proposal as well as an S 600 from 1994 with allegedly 88,000 km (japanese specs, whatever that may be called) too scarcely 3.600 Euro. I will drive the car every day about 100 km. I don’t need to look back at the fuel consumption. I’m encouraged directly in front of the door 😉 Thank you for the help. cruisingkruse
