Hello, I didn’t want to deprive you of this Ebay offerhttp://cgi.ebay.de/…egoryZ14769QQsssPageNameZWDVQQrdZ1QcmdZViewItem But, who needs something like this? Now my request to all CL 215 owners: can’t you even put your photos in here or specify links? I honestly admit that I like the CL (but only from the W220 series, i.e. the C215) much better than my normal W220. Unfortunately, I only lack the necessary small money to buy a halfway well-preserved one, let alone that for the running costs – only the fuel money would eat the last remaining hair from my head The car is just a dream for me, and so some photos would be just great. Is for me the most beautiful car of the last 20 years. MFG Pluto

Purchase advice: W116 or W126?
Hello people! I would like to buy a Mercedes Old-/youngtimer soon and have set myself on a mercedes S-class between 75′ and 90. However, I can not yet decide between W116 and W126. My budget is quite limited (350€), however, I have been screwing with uncles and friends on cars and motorcycles for years, which means that I can also make repairs myself. Important for me is a correspondingly small engine due to the already high consumption. (260/280/300er) For which of the two vehicles would you decide and why? Experience reports, weak points, spare parts situation, as well as insurance, tax costs, tips and advice please just post in. I really appreciate you for every info super! Greeting Philipp.

Which S-Class series are you driving?
Hello, this survey I created on request and on behalf of Dr.Dennis. I think many of you will find pleasure in it and participate in it. Since this vote does not belong to me, but to Dr.Dennis, I now leave the word to him. Original written by Dr.Dennis Hello dear S-Class friends, I thought we would start a survey to take stock here in the forum. Who actually drives which series? I would like if only the respective actual “S-Class drivers” to vote with not to distort the result. Thank you for your participation. LG Dennis

CL65 AMG (C215) – the heart says yes, the head no
I have the chance to buy a CL65 from private, very well maintained, accident-free and out of serious possession…about 130,000km, black/anthracite inside. Very fascinating car, THE steam hammer…I would move the car only as a hobby car occasionally perhaps 3000km / year, insofar consumption and general maintenance are irrelevant. However, I have concerns about the complexity of the V12 biturbo (thermal problems, as it is rather “warm” here), and the EPC chassis…rightly?! Is everything almost 10 years old now and not even repaired in case of damage… Does anyone have any experience with the M275 in the large coupé or the saloon, and how likely is an EPC defect in running performance and age? Does the EPC take it ill if the car is moved only irregularly and rather little? Thanks for all the assessments (even what you can pay for such a car…) Jan

W203 CDI320 Optimizing intake air guides ?
Everyone who drives this vehicle also knows the problem with the relatively small air filters for the intake air of the engine. As with this engine the very large air intakes of each insect and what always flies around directly swallows, the filters are relatively fast on long motorway rides. When I saw this week in a workshop an S class with the CDI 320 engine, I was amazed. In the S class the intake air opening is covered by a plastic part on both sides. I would have liked to show you a photo, but did not find one at a time. I would try to screw a metal part from the inside on the upper radiator lamellas. Or to attach to the Schossbrücke bell plates. Ultimately, the insects etc. should not be able to fly directly into the air filter box. Has anyone tried this before? What do you think of this idea? S-class(s) different… ?
Hello, a friend has brought me to a video from Youtube, which provides insights into the tuning scene of Japan. First of all, there is a relatively grotesque picture, in which 3 Mercedes are driving forward, a W140, a W220 and a ( I think at least it was a ) R230. For my eye these vehicles are totally faded and disfigured. I would like to know your opinions on this “look” and if I am the only one who will probably completely disassemble these vehicles and again Here’s the link to this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJrwxVR8KzA Greeting P.S.: The 7s BMW in my signature was also tinkered when we got it. We also originalized it again. For each of the cars with viiieeel style likes, it’s worth a look at the pictures of my vehicles.

ABS problem W126 1st series, speed problem and cruiser retrofit W126
Hello dear S-Class Forum, since I am writing here for the first time, I would like to introduce myself briefly. My name is Oliver and I drive a W126 500SE year of construction 80, silver metallic (yes, one of the absolutely first ), which I inherited from my uncle. The car has 260,000Km down and is generally in a good, well maintained condition (has a little rust at the bottom of the door, but the rear window frame is absolutely clean, the interior equipment (Velour anthracite) is like new). the age of 29 I want to continue driving the vehicle and in the future as a classic car continue to maintain and maintain. Unfortunately the car has some problems: 1) The ABS lamp is permanently on (so also NOT off when you start the engine and is immediately on even after the battery is disconnected). My screwdriver is definitely overwhelmed with this problem “The ABS can’t be read out” The ABS also definitely doesn’t work What can I do? Had already the overload protection relay What can I still do? And another question: 2) Can I retrofit a cruise control for my vehicle? Since it is 80 years old and has K-Jettronic, there is of course no ASR, or electro-hydraulic actuator. Did I see something like this in the bay here: Tempomat retrofit kit Would you recommend this to me? Or where do I get a cruise control? How expensive is the installation and where should I have it done? What can soet be done? 3) The idle speed is always about 1500 revolutions at the cold start. How high is it with you? PS: As soon as I have time again, I will introduce myself and my car correctly ;D MfG Olli
