  • SL 300/500 – W129 or SLK buy ??

    Hello together, I intend to purchase a SL 300, SL 500 or a SLK (from year 97) as a convertible. As a model with the SL the series W129 comes into question. What do I have to pay attention to when buying this vehicle? Are there “typical” weak points, which should be examined more closely? What about the consumption? I think the 500er will hardly drive under 15 liters. What would you think would be a reasonable price for a 92er model. What does the SLK look like? Is there also Schwac What would such a 98 model cost? Which car would you advise ? SL or SLK? I intend to drive the vehicle exclusively with season registration. No matter which one of the models.     I am currently driving a C 230 compressor and am really very happy with the car. Since I am on the road three times a week 190 km professionally I decided to sell the beautiful 202. I wanted to buy a nice solied 190D 2.5 or 2.0, and because driving with it is not fun, I thought to buy a SLK. Only for the weekend and only for nice weather. Yes well maybe also sometimes during the week. What I am ever looking for. zt would be interested for once the fuel consumption, yes I know is only for the sake, and whether it really goes as brutally as Porsche and Co. Would I be happy about many answers. I find the car for under 25t€ is nevertheless top. There is no SLK 230 kom. for 15t€ or ?

  • Mice in the car

    Hi my SLK was standing in a barn for a long time over the winter and now I have noticed that there apparently mice have been indoors or that eventuel is still living, inside suitcase room and everything else has not been chewed or infested, I noticed this by the smell and then I removed the carpets and found a nest at the rear speaker openings. How should I proceed now? Spraying, scattering or how? Never had such a problem my question about it. PS: As said a lles has remained salvation (hath luck)just somehow I have to get the fuckers out of there.

  • Distronic retrofitting guide found! R230

    Hello, have found this guide for retrofitting the Distronic.Retrofit Distronic seems to be really easy. Has anyone done this already and can post a few more experiences? In itself I would be interested in the Distronic already. I would certainly not need it, but if it would be easy to realize…hmmmm! Above all, what is meant by “registration on the data card” and asking for a new key at MB would be interesting. But it wouldn’t be bad if you could provide the master with the necessary information.     I drive a SL R230 at which the tank flap was no longer closed, unless I locked the vehicle with the key then the tank flap closed. During the drive, however, the flap stood up again.     Hello, I’m addressing you because of a problem I’ve been with for years and I don’t have a solution. I have a SL-R230 350. Maybe someone from you had experiences with something similar or has a good tip? My support battery only lasts about 1 week and has to be charged every 3 days. You can imagine how annoying that is. Description: At first the battery was broken, probably because of deep discharge. I then have a Every time the battery is charged, everything goes again. What I have already done to limit the problem: Purchased a new battery (Varta Silver E 38 74Ah 680A), now the third one. The problem has remained. Battery test of the car workshop: After one day the battery had 12.07 V, the battery condition was 96% and the charge condition was 35%. Autoelectric workshop: Cause of the fault current below the battery I was told that such a search often leads to no result. Even the Mercedes car dealership would only exchange the ECUs, which would be cost-intensive accordingly. The alternator was tested and charged properly. Battery specialist: Auto 1 week left there. No result, Mercedes car dealership has only the appropriate testing technology. Battery has in the developed condition only a daily loss of 0 — 0.1 V. So it is not due to the battery. In my limited knowledge I would think that the rest current consumption of 105 mAH is very low and therefore cannot be the cause. The biggest consumers are listed afterwards. But everything is only small stuff from consumption. Do you have an idea what I can do or what it can be?

    Hello in the round, I am a bit at a loss. Wanted to change the rear flap dampers and has to find that they are so easy to install there. New damper as long as old. Number is right, but both in the developed condition by 3 mm too long. Does anyone have a tip how to squeeze them together or is there still a adjusting screw in the mechanics?
