R129 IR Central locking system
Hello, have a SL320 (0708/475) which at the moment has difficulties with the ZV. The car has the system with the IR eyes in the door locks and the tailgate. The following problem occurs more frequently: – Car cannot be opened from one side (left or right door), sometimes not at all – Close over the rear flap cylinder always goes, LED lights behave differently then than usual, continuous lights red or green – if you open/close over the lock then it goes a few once again with the IR key on all doors The topic started with the rear IR eye, which had the topic that it sometimes lighted slightly red/green, no matter whether it was opened or closed. Was not always. I changed once all transmission/reception suctions against each other, but can not say whether one eye or several are defective. Is there a way to test the system? Error memory readout or something? As ZV control unit the 1298200626 can be used simply tausc What about the old stored keys? I can only guess at the moment, but I think it looks like the ECU?!? Recommended purchase R129, which motorization?
The topic is already discussed 1000 times, but all entries are over 10 years old. I start the discussion anew. I dream of an R129, which is just beautiful. Now I can’t make the decision which one it should be. Actually I would like to use the 300-24V as a switch. Unfortunately, these are either too expensive or too rare, so I can’t find one in my budget (about 15k). As a switch only 280 and 300s are left, but they are with 193 PS me etw As undermotorized, I’d like to drive a little more sporty from time to time. Automatic would be a 2nd choice for me, there are many good offers from 300-24 and 320. But there’s a dilemma here, from the consumption they are not so far away from the 500 (about 10-15% less to my knowledge). Now comes the question, how much higher are the maintenance costs for the 500 apart from the consumption? That seems to be just as reliable as the others, there is a ha eg for spare parts etc.? Deck no longer opens

Grid LMM R230 on one side slightly pressed / loose
The title already says it: When controlling the plugs of the motor control unit (on engine oil via cable harness) of my SL350 R230, I noticed that the grid is slightly pressed in by the air mass meter on one side and loosened by the metal frame. Size order approx.30 degrees. So about 90% are still fixed. But the edge is still on the plastic tube – so nothing can fall in there. Is this relevant or more or less irrelevant? Can you change the grid by the way or must then the complete LMM can be exchanged? [It’s a thing anyway: If I look at the LMM from my 5s, there is still a massive Kunsstoffgitter in front of the fine wire grid, you could never press anything in. Alone the whole construction and the position is already unfavourable with the SL: If you don’t store the air filter box cleanly, you quickly have dirt on the sealing ring that sits on the LMM and the dirt then very quickly directly on the LMM and in the intake current. Grey lock on magnetic switch connector broken
