  • Aero 2 II AMG 8.5 x 18 ET44 on R129 – matching screws

    Hello all, would like to install the Aero II AMG (usually for W140) rims on the R129 SL 500, unfortunately neither I nor the Mercedes car dealership find the matching screws. Track plates are also on it, front 2×25, rear 2×30 Do you have a solution for or maybe even a part number? Thank you!

  • R230 SL 55 Japan Reimport without checkbook?

    Hi, currently driving a C219 500 and would like to upgrade to a charged V8 Benz. E500 Coupé as Biturbo would be chic, but lately I’ve been in love with the R230. Loved as 55 AMG. About the weak points and possible costs I’ve already made myself smart I found a nice SL that looks perfect and a low mileage from BJ 2002, but the vehicle has no checkbook. In addition, it’s a Japan Reimport – Was in Germany If you would rather leave your fingers off the vehicle or if you could have a Mercedes print out a list for the workshop stays from the vehicle? The current owner has repaired a lot and has invoices for all the parts he has installed. The mileage was apparently checked by Mercedes.   • SLK 200K or SLK 230K

    Hello guys, I would like to (will) strike in the spring and buy a SLK. Actually I also wanted to consider the successor model, but the photos of the rear shown so far, let me agree with this project. Now to the current model: Supposedly the quality with the facelift should have become significantly better, can SLK owners agree with this statement? How big is the difference in driving performance between SLK 200K and SLK 230K? Is there still no automatic air conditioning system for the SLK? Or is it? I am very grateful for tips or suggestions.

    Hello! My CLK Cabrio 230 Compressor (Automatic) shows about 248km/h at full throttle, registered as Vmax at 227km/h. Is the speedometer display really so inaccurate or does the car actually drive a little faster than 227km/h?

It actually makes sense, instead of refueling the demanded Super-Plus. The larger motors run with it quieter, consume up to a liter less and have a little more pull-through power.   • R129 – Presentation / Question on residual values in financing

    Hello everyone! First of all, a brief description of how I come to you at all: I have a B-Class as a leasing vehicle at the moment, which costs me depending on the kilometers (about 15tkm/year) in the month about 400€ incl. taxes and insurance. Basically I am very satisfied with this car, but I find 400€ for an absolutely emotionless car meanwhile a little money. Since I am not regularly dependent on a car or access to company vehicles and the My girlfriend’s car, I started looking for a youngtimer. Here the C126 fell into the closer selection. I had to make the experience, however, that it is now enormously difficult to find a decent specimen with a few kilometers, little defects and a complete history under 10-12000€. In addition, a C126 from my point of view is somehow not a really everyday vehicle, with which one likes also long stre In this way I come to the R129, which, in my opinion, is no longer a youngtimer or a current used car. Relatively current technology packed in a design that is no longer up-to-date (but appeals to me), an attractive successor that presses the prices and a large range of vehicles. In my search, I initially have dealer offers between 15-25t€ from ’98-’01. Since I would probably finance the vehicle, I also took a look at the financing conditions. With a financing over 2 years with 30tkm of total running power, the financing computer goes from a closing rate of 9200€ (see attached screenshot). I can hardly imagine that it is realistic that this vehicle should lose another half of its value for 2 years. Of course, from an economic point of view (split prices, etc.) the purchase price can fall into one another, but so strong? In addition, with a relatively economical 320er?   • SL 350 R230 after longer service life no current !

    Hello ! After a longer service life my SL R230 2005 has no power any more. Both batteries are empty ! Driver door with emergency key opened without any problems, keys in the ignition and nothing happens. No electricity all dead ! Rear flap cannot be opened with the emergency key. I removed the starter battery in front and recharged (battery is full), reinstalled and connected and still nothing happens. I put the key in the ignition and it does nothing (a) I can’t get to the big comfort battery in the trunk. Otherwise I would have charged it again. I hope one of you has an idea how to proceed when both batteries are empty. Thank you!

    Again a new construction site: The carrying joints seem to have game or the ball heads are knocked out, I dare not drive more faster than 30. Steering wheel is waiting funny ahead … I am slowly tired of the cart. For every tip I am grateful
