Hello municipality I have purchased a 500 SL from 94 as a restoration object, unfortunately the engine control unit is missing here, does anyone know if the immobilizer is programmed in the control unit? If I get a used SG, the car could run.? Where is the immobilizer installed? I am grateful for any help.

Hello dear forum, With my SL the ZV and the Vario roof no longer works. Also the rear cover no longer attracts itself. Both vehicle batteries were changed, no change. Does anyone have an idea what I can do? Gutmann Tester shows no errors. The sensors for the case cover are safe. Thank you for your help.

After the hibernation of my SL55 built in 2002, the central locking door suddenly stopped working and after I had entered with the key and briefly turned the ignition key upside down, the alarm system triggered. The engine started immediately, but the message “Electronic aids switched off” appeared. I drove 100 km, then the ESP was suddenly back, but the battery indicator lit up. Over the winter, the car was connected to a power supply at the front. I had two new batteries installed in the summer. It all started when I replaced the yellow standlights with LEDs in the front. Now I rebuild everything back and ordered new pears from Philips. I hope that the problem has been solved. Did someone have similar experiences? Thanks for all the valuable tips and happy Easter!

Hello, dear community, with my Mercedes SL R129, 1998, Mopf 2, with 5-speed automatic, which I already own and drive for several years, suddenly the parking position “P” can no longer be inserted. The selector lever only goes up to “R” and then blocks, just as if you didn’t operate the foot brake (of course I did). The ignition key can also not be pulled off, if I have switched the engine to position “N”. The car drives and switches otherwise al In other contributions, you can refer to the brake light switch or to the selector lever module. Can you test the brake light switch yourself? Where is it? Does anyone have a photo of it? Is there perhaps an unlocking on the R129, so that “P” can be inserted again? Should I perhaps disconnect the battery? Maybe a egg lkrton control has “hanged up”? Hello together, still I waved – but the spring is still waiting for you;-)… According to the sheer values of the acceleration the vehicles do not give much . Dangers I am only the SL55, but this was already excellent! However, because I like the Mopf2 optically much better, I wonder if the “missing” 112hp make the roast “so fat”, or the difference (nm, 0-100 etc.) to the SL55 is so very noticeable (let’s leave an open vmax outside here) Thank you very much.

Good evening, since 2003 I drive a SL 350 as a second vehicle. I bought the car new and it is very well maintained. I drive the car only from April to October and have nearly 100,000 down. I love the car and don’t actually need the money. Now I am faced with the decision whether to keep the car or sell it. For 2 years the mud has piled up. In France the cover disaster blocked. We were absolute exotics. The Mercedes workshop has the roof manually closed and warned me to open the roof again. most beautiful weather and we drive on holiday closed on the Atlantic. At home nothing could be detected anymore. Then Xenon headlight left. Several times in the workshop 2 x parts changed. Over 1400 € cost. I believe the aging of the electronics becomes a problem. Would actually like to moth the car and drive occasionally later. But as already said, my main concern is that the many electronics the vehicle is perspective too What do the professionals mean? At the beginning it was original and gradually changed according to my preference and taste… ZB.Comfort Vario roof module, AMG bumper front & rear, Carlsson exhaust system, AMG rear lights, AMG rear spoiler, lowering with coupling rods, (MAE design) GNB front 9×20 ET30 rear 12×20 ET32 with 1cm & 2cm S pure plates per axle, widened back with sheet metal so that the tires fit and do not grind…. Jaaa Now comes my question… I would like to let LSD make the gullwing doors but how is it now 2015??? is it to Macho moderate?? or just embarrassing??? What do you mean??? Hello together, who has experience with ABC shock absorber change or repair ? Parts number: A2303200513 Rear right? The damper is slightly oil-tight , have noticed it when changing wheels! In the display no error Melung! But –> the car is bagged about after 2 weeks garage stay back right! After that , resp. after the start of the car us level up and down ….. is again everything I.O.!?! Who can help me? Thank you
