  • Upgrade tire pressure sensors

    Hello SL friends, after having the new rear tires burst at 130 km/h on the highway, I ordered and had them mounted on the fast low-cost tire pressure sensors (caps). Now I am more calm but at higher speeds from 120 km/h the steering wheel/car trembles and before that was not (estimates the caps weigh too much). A second time balancing didn’t bring the 100% driving rest. Do you have any experiences and/or recommendations that you might have installed? Before I buy the expensive from 200 euros..   • SLK R170 BAS/ESP lights up after hibernation

    Hello! Yesterday I took my 200K out of hibernation. I had properly wintered it, so the battery was jammed off, filled with fuel etc. Then I noticed yesterday that the right rear tire had not much air inside, was then also a flat tire. When we had then changed the mature (I wanted to do my AMG ́s on it anyway) and I had started the car with the help of a starter, BAS/ESP lit up and did not go away. What can that be? Ka nn it’s a defective sensor on the wheels or something like that? The funny thing was that I just tried to turn ESP off and on again. After that, nothing turned on.     Hello to the SL community, recently I am proud owner of an SL 55 Japan import verifiably 1 vehicle holder. Car has 115 Tkm. On the highway at the test if the car is locked off I noticed that suddenly the car from 210 km/h no longer took up gas as in emergency run but the speed rose nevertheless to 4500 rpm. So off to Daimler workshop and they switched the lamda probe. I drove beautifully in the Black Forest today brake speed up brackly as it belongs… then on the highway and full throttle .. at 220 I stopped because I thought everything was ok again and it was dark. Then I test again and there it was again .. times at 180 and later at 210 nothing goes anymore .. no interference display no noises nothing… what’s going on there?!     Dear community, since I have already collected some tips from you, I would like to post my experience today: For 2-3 months I had the well-known problem of undervoltage and the associated shutdown of the comfort functions… For a few weeks it has been added that the alarm system often asked for attention without external influences… This went so far that I no longer finished the vehicle of the neighbors to love;-) Then change the r Comfort battery with the hope to have peace now! But my feeling should be right: did I have undervoltage because the alarm system sucks the battery empty or does the alarm system go because of undervoltage? Yes, the chicken and the egg! And promptly: Again gel intestines… In an American forum someone had expressed similar problems with the indication that the siren internal buffer battery was defective! So: My evening was planned: to expand siren (somewhere else described here: behind Kotflü gel cover left, wheel down…)! With earplug disassembly of the siren.. subsequent sawing up (sh… plastic housing) brought certainty: Two expired NiMH batteries, which certainly do not positively affect both electronics and board chemical-nagender way! Since it will definitely hit everyone here sometime (the life of these batteries is now systemimmanent limited) – hope to be able to help someone with this… Add a few more photos!     Hello Sl Friends For months I’ve been looking forward to my steering wheels, the steering wheel has been with me since 09.2015 and should actually be in my old 500s. Now in the new 55s it was time to dispose of the Omnibus steering wheel. My aim is again to install the interior for the future visually on too fresh and future-proof. So this year I was the first on 01.03 at Performance 77 (Müslüm) to have the conversion carried out. I have now tried to dokum This was not so easy because of the large circumference. It was necessary not only to solder the electrictrics completely, but also mechanical conditions had to be changed with the dehmel. It is very expensive to adapt the paddles with this steering wheel type, because here was made among other things from a clasper an opener. Also the tachorings were replaced .. already with my old 500er I had done this measure and find the mopf tachos still around worlds b In my current 55’s I didn’t find the silver inner panes suitable either, so they also had to turn against black ones. I am a professional construction manager of electrical engineering and build transformer station with personal and external personnel. Therefore, I have a lot of experience about manual work. These works here, however, are still one step above it. Müslüm has done everything with absolute perfection. Even the buttons were meticulously checked exactly after the soldering mechanically and electrically. So here I take my hat off in front of the absolutely perfect disassembly and execution . !!! Class very competent R230 specialist!!! Also the environment was again great. Mike and Michale from the forum were also there and there were some things to tell and laugh about. I can only recommend everyone who was not here yet should visit the Sl specialists at any time after the Installation I drove home around 8 pm with a whole other Sl 55 AMG!     To all rare drivers: How do you keep it with the oil and other changing intervals? I only ride in summer, only very occasionally in nice weather and never short distance.
