Hello Together, my SL (R230) refuses to take into account the comfort setting for the right exterior mirror for reverse gear. After 15 minutes of road approx. 80 – 110 KM and always lightly give gas and again away from the gas, the car has started to roar and shake, the steering wheel was quiet. The noise became louder and louder, it was as if you opened a window in the back and the wind caught up. I stopped the car and turned off the engine. After turning on the car is quite normal. In the evening I made a small exit, the first 10 KM everything OK, after that the same problem. Again the engine turned off, after starting again everything OK and the next 30 KM nothing happens anymore. I am on Monday at Mercedes, but what should I say to the master, I can not show the problem, I don’t know when it will occur again. Hello dear sl driver, I would like to buy a sl 450. Bj is 1973. 240.000 km. It is a German vehicle. No import. The car is 1992 in absolutely serious owns. The paint is perfect and the car is stainless. Really optically from outside very nice. The last years the car was hardly moved to not at all. Now to my questions The cover has to be renewed because some idiot has slit it up. The engine should be checked. This is certainly not normal. It is clear that all liquids have to be replaced. The carpet in the interior is torn. So it should also be renewed. The controllers of the heating are missing completely and the heating runs on full gas according to the salesman’s instructions. And lastly, the leather equipment is not torn open but still worn off. I would therefore like to have the seats re-referenced. If someone who possibly has such a vehicle has already such repairs can be carried out and can provide information about the costs? Or is there someone in the forum who is familiar with the prices of such items? The sl should cost 8000 euro whereby the seller has already signaled that there is still room for negotiation. Hello forum members, I have a problem with my Vario roof. First the cylinder has lost over the passenger door Oel, had it repaired at Mercedes and now the pump loses oil. I saw that the cylinder also loses over the driver door Oel. Would like to change now all 7 of the 8 cylinders and the pump but honestly cuffs before the task. Mercedes contracting partner makes me more problems than they solve the problem. They handed me the car defective with the words, yes everything would have to be changed though before everything was dry and functional. So the trust is gone. Hello sl-fans, how are your experiences in the conversion from 18 to 20 inches wheels? my r-230 is 30mm deeper and with the 18 inches for me a good compromise between optics and comfort. has someone experience how it looks like when it is converted to 20 inches with the optics, the distance to the wheel cutout is more noticeable, because there is significantly less rubber on the rim with the same roll circumference? optically the gap should not look bigger, since I find it at 18 inches still ok,or looks at 20 inches even the wheelbox even more filled out, how are your experiences? lg alex
