When reading various car magazines, I always notice that the 700 Nm of the new SL 500 (R231) is extremely high in relation to the 435 hp. No engine with comparable power has such torque. Even almost all engines in the 550 hp class (e.g. BMW/Audi V8) have less torque, although turbos are also installed there, which generally increase the torque. Hello, drive even for two weeks a SL500 R230 year 2001 with 84,000km. I have a few little tech problems you can help me. One is the servo closure of the boot lid. Yesterday I wanted to close the trunk then the servo closure does not go then tried the boot cover gently slammed the boot cover was too but in the instrument cluster he showed me with red lettering on trunk cover open. I then pulled the fuse then it went again. If the servo closure works after then a noise from the trunk is heard (like when air comes out of a dinghy when a hole is in it) so about 10 seconds long. Can you do something yourself or is here really the lock broken. The second it lights up – if the car is standing one to two days – in the instrument cluster electric consumer switched off. The time until it is extinguished now takes longer and longer. Yesterday had to drive about 10 km until all consumers were switched on again. The seller told me when he bought it he had reinstalled all two batteries. I also don’t know if that’s true. This message also shows it to my wife’s w211 but only in winter when he stands once a week and is then after 2 to 3 kilomets What could be your cause here could give me a tip here. For many years, my father has always had a 350 SLC in the open (covered under Carport) The condition is as follows: Thresholds have to be re-inserted, since the previous owner removed the jacks. The brakes are over, chassis rubbers porous , the Brem power amplifier leaks, engine is oiled and valve shaft seals are no longer in order… (stands 10 years ago) The car had to venture away from its place as a storm destroyed the carport roof. Since it did not slip, I went to work to breathe the engine back into life after 10 years of service! after three trying the engine ran with a pleasant and clean v8 sound. I then drove the car to its new parking space and fell in love with the car. W If you read the condition of the car like this, would you like to repair it again or rather slaughter it? Hello, After my sold Sl 500 had problems – with approx. 120,000 km tandem pump and immediately after that valve block renewed – I would like to prepare now. Recommendation Mr. Hehlhans and Zädow to change the oil every 5 years or 30.000 km plus additional filters. I have now 11 years and 78,000 km – so anyway already late. I upgraded an AMG steering wheel in my SL 350 built in 2003, which has a shifter on each side to switch up and down. Not to be confused with the “real” shifters down to the left and up to the right, or vice versa. I have the same switch in my ML 350 built in 2006, but here in Verbind The SL still has the 5-speed transmission, which can also be switched manually. Now my question: Is it possible, perhaps, to connect the gears to the gears by using an additional gear control unit, so that we can change gears on the steering wheel? If it is possible, how much technical and financial effort is it to realize this? I do not use the switches regularly in ML, but they are a great help, we n n with higher traffic volume the overtaking must take place quickly. I have an R230 500SL with Kleemann compressor, the car is optically modified with original parts to AMG 55, back AMG rear spoiler.He has Tüv,new quality tire 19 inch and I drove it carefree over 3 months.It is an accident car that has been repainted into a Mercedes special paint.How typed was the car from Kleemann for more than 15000euro converted to compressor,the charging pressure is only 0.4bar.Since I took over this car from a friend I know the lot of Se rvice extra(gear-oil, diffoil other wear parts) were made and are certified with maintenance booklet,tüv reports, invoices kilometers below 120000. Compressor conversion registered 354KW otherwise optically good car.I had a used car report taken that 23525euro value.Isn’t this car to get rid of for a fair price because it is a non-original tuning SL???? I really drove this car without any complaint through the summer,over 25 00km of sun & fun and a huge push forward.Equipment doesn’t make you want to, and the V8 runs with the retrofitted compressor really silky soft and with over 600nm never gets the feeling missing something.But I have the feeling that if you put such a sum like my friend in there,lover somewhere else for investing. Hello dear SL’er Gemeinde, I have already found many tips and hints in the forum, but unfortunately no “total solution” for my problem. So to the point: roof causes problems when closing. Rear right, I call “ear flap” does not crash. Get out and press the “ear flap” in, roof closes. The friendly has repaired (a small screw of the roof lock has fallen under the rear battery in the trunk). Everything fixed, everything as far as ok. roof has immediately nac h start the engine works. The friendly guy also built a new battery in the back (October 2013), because the old one was too weak. Had before already error messages like “all consumers turned off”. After driving around the block, then it was over with the error message. And now the problem: SL is in heated garage since the end of October 2013. 2 weeks ago vehicle is unlocked by radio remote control. Short headlights started, short turn signal, then was the end. Locking button at the door no longer even went up! Display brings several red error messages: “All consumers switched off”, brake support inactive” (or so similar) … Rear window (left) down about 5 cm, then absolute silence. Opened with mechanical emergency key SL. Started with normal key Fhrzg., immediately jumped. Driven couple of kilometers, after approx. 30 minutes drive and blower on medium position all lights (inside) only weakly lit. äse has only worked minimally during the ride. Again in garage, rear battery connected to battery maintenance device. Only lamp for “discharge” has lit. After two days changed to another battery maintenance device. Now only the “charge lamp” lights up for 3 days. Does not switch to discharge. Suppose that the very new battery is in the “candle”. And now? What should I do? Driving around or driving to the friendly is not because season marks 03-10. Werd e check today on Saturday if it starts. Moin, always something new. My comand should actually play DVDs – it does. I have an image, but no sound. Everything else works (CD changer). Not that I wanted to use this function on my walking trips ….. And another question: What do I have to do to play from iPhone music via Bluetooth via the comand? 3. Question: What is this interface?
