Have already let the battery charge overnight Battery top both only half a year old! so on too weak battery it probably can not put… get the car also not in the workshop because it stands in the carport since the lever blocked someone has random experience or the same Pr oblem Once had many thanks for help and answers mfg

CLK W208`er Cabrio with 209`er Grill
Here are some data of my CLK`s He is BJ. 99 has the 320èr engine in it (a dream) the outside color is 040 black and inside he has black leather otherwise full equipment except on automatically glareable mirror. Let’s come now to the modifications. Let’s start out best: AMG side skirt and rear apron 2000èr front spoiler (I personally don’t like the round fog lights of the AMG front spoiler) In summer he stands on 18″ BBS RSII v. 225 and h. 255 in winter au f BBS 17″ BBS RKII all around 225 I have brought it with 40mm H&R springs and MAE/Sachs dampers closer to the asphalt. So that you can hear the V6 even a little more blubbering, I decided for an Eisenmann ESD (I can only recommend it) Finally I adapted and inserted the grill of the new 209èr. So inside has done also a little I say only noble wood that had to be out first and from now on to the paintr it is grey like the decorative strips outside. The leather steering wheel had to an AMG soft color black with Designo Silver AMG In the 99`ger model there was only as Navi the APS IV this had to give way to the command. Oh yes, I also changed the switch knob for the 2000`er SLK` So now still a few pictures……

Command System SL500 R230 – CAN BUS
Hello everyone! I have had considerable problems with the CAN BUS & Command system since about 2 months (1 month after delivery. e.g. Compass entry no longer works e.g.; back mirror automatic right when inserting the return journey – no function e.g.; RESET of the command system at almost every second start. FEHLER REPORT at MB is “SEE SIDES” long. Visits at MB Fachzerkstatt every week – SEEHR, better every time my French; coffee & cake – a glass of Bordeaux or Champag ne – but in the long run my liver & my nerves do not grow out; Does someone have similar experiences and how was the problem solved with you? W208,W209 – Please info!
Hello, I’m playing with the idea of getting a CLK Coupe. As I saw at the stock exchanges, you can get there for 15000 euros and that’s my price idea. Unfortunately, there are many things that I couldn’t yet classify. The W208 seems to be the “old” CLK, so the one with the separated headlights (i.e. 4 pieces in front) and the W209 is probably the one with the Peanuts headlights (2 pieces in front). The W209 will probably no longer fall into my price range, because it is still too new (when was there the change 208/209?). Vior recently I have seen that there is probably also a diesel version, is there something about it? As was suggested here in the forum, it would be great if there were basic information, the newcomers would probably be very helpful. Anyway, the same questions are usually again and again (did I dig through here also in the forum, but everything can’t be found then). Is the consumption between 10 and 15 liters true? 15 liters are already quite nice N hard. Greetings, Rolf

Repair air conditioning automatic type 1 ex Chrysler from the USA
Hello SL 107 owner, I have, like many other owners of a USA import, the old Chrysler air conditioning system with the infamous heating servo in the engine room. This part was broken with me, like many others. I then repaired it a year ago provisionally elaborately. (Did I describe in the Motor Talk if anyone cares) However, he has now acknowledged his service again. This proved to be very nice again by the fact that the servo motor did not enter the parking position I decided to take some money in my hand and repair the entire system. There are basically four possibilities: 1.) The sad : Selling a car 🙂 The most affordable : All (almost all) vacuum lines Throw out bridges, air-conditioning servo, build in hot water lines bridges and a manual valve (see Mercedessource) —> I don’t think a R107 is worthy ;-). 3.) A new, outdated (Alubody) Order servo ex USA, is at 400-1000 € + tax, advantage : again original, disadvantage: in x years you are again on this page :-D. 4.) Order the electronic solution from Mercedesfix (you can also order from Unwiredtools, but then costs the double !). This replaces the vulnerable amplifier AND the servo. I decided for option 4.. Price : almost 400$ with transport + 45 € tax. Delivery time approx. 2 weeks The parts arrived today (joy), the one construction instruction is extensive and well described. Is not a witchcraft ;-). I will take care of it and report on it on the weekend.

EILT Driving behaviour SLK 230 K EILT
Hello first of all, I am thinking of adding a SLK 230 compressor. In the topic of driving behaviour of the CLK, the driving behaviour of my current MB has described times. Actually, the technology is right with Mercedes, but especially higher speeds, side wind and Mercedes do not tolerate too much. My question: can someone tell me something about driving behaviour / wind sensitivity of the SLK? It is very urgent, as I have to decide immediately. A test drive with the vehicle ste It still looks like, but there is not every day wind and up here in Schleswig-Holstein the A1 eg is so Topfeben that you can only experience the surprises around Kassel and near Frankfurt. As already mentioned above, I am looking for a pre-contract for the new SL600 and would like to take over the vehicle from the first owner from April 2004. However, the vehicle should be ordered according to my specifications and the VAT must be passable.

CLK 230 K .. which chip tuning set is the best ???
Hello, there are 1000-de suppliers of chip tuning sets…and everyone does (sometimes) something different….the one only changes the chip…the second buys a sports air filter…or even charge air cooler…and the third offers 3 different chip tuning sets….but what IS THE NON REALLY RECOMMENDED? Has someone had his own experience and can really recommend a manufacturer/supplier (Internet address ???) ? ..if yes, so…*grins*…because I am (at the point of view) its offer) really confused…even the prices range from 599 EUR …to over 2500 EUR…but what is really worth it and what is to be paid attention ? Hi guys. I’m new here and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Luc, I’m from Luxembourg and I’m the proud owner of a CLK 270 CDI coupé. My first Benz, before that I had an Audi 80 convertible 2.8 V6.(I hope the CDI 270 will be strong enough.) I ordered the car as AVANTGARD with leather, comfort climate, Bose sound system, seat heating front, sports suspension and 6speed manual circuitry. Now I have some questions. Unfortunately, I couldn’t test a manual circuit because my handset Is the new 6 gear transmission really as bad as it is always described here ? How well is the car going to drive with automatic in the winter ? Since I get the car only in June 2003 (yes 10 months delivery time in Luxembourg !) I can still order automatic. How about the optional sports suspension (only sports suspension without extra rims) ? I have unfortunately forgotten I hope I haven’t forgotten anything. Should you still take an option that I haven’t taken. See you – Luc –

CLK 500 or M3
I also asked the question in the BMW Forum, but every forum I say something different? I am deciding whether to get a CLK 500 or an M3. I like the 500 very well and look good. If I would take one, then one with AMG package, black or silver and with a command. Does anyone have experience with the 500s ? What does he consume so and is there someone who drives you ?
