Hello SLK-community, my “SLK 230 R170 facelift” has been on the hump for 9 years now, but has run only 89,000 km during this time. The external condition of the vehicle is actually extremely good. However, in recent times the roof can only be closed with difficulty. As soon as the switch is activated, the boot lid only lifts a minimal piece, the electric motor stops and the switch flashes. I have to repeat the switch’s operation about 10 times. l the boot lid rises again a small piece in order to have the electric motor suspended immediately. As soon as the boot lid is finally fully open, everything works as it should: the roof closes automatically and completely. SLK with too much charging current
Have a good day, I have a problem… Drive an MB SLK R170 230 compressor, unfortunately I drove someone on it through carelessness… I then put the vehicle back together in self-direction, but there is a problem which is foreign to me… My generator/lima produces about 21 V, but on the battery nothing arrives… As soon as I pull off the negative pole of the battery, the car also goes off… I then switched the controller on suspicion, without result… Then the lightmas chine itself and still 21 V… All electrical consumers outside as well as inside function impeccable, even no fault in the memory… Can anyone help me there? lg Robert

Hello boeser Dieter, Hi @ Bin on Saturday time again with the SLK 300km on the highway. On the return drive I had to chase a camper from the left lane and am full on the horn. The started also but after 10 seconds was finished although the thumb was full. Since then it is not going any more. Safes in the box are all good. Can the horn be broken after ten years ? With hardly 10 rain drives, never snow and salt ? Have I never had, with unsealable cars in 37 year Thank you for your answers. Help, my SLK is leaking…
Servus dear SLK fans, have been driving a SLK 200 BJ 1997 since spring 2011. Sometimes everything is without complaint – until the rainy days have come to us!! Since then it has been popping into the vehicle with the smallest shower. To describe exactly the rainwater runs from the top right, exactly where they are the small water drain channel (where windshield and roof come together, height passenger windows). Had this demonstrated in order to exchange any seal, but they thought that the seals were obviously in order and that the roof had to be adjusted/adjusted. Cost point: too expensive!!! Therefore my request, whether someone from the room Hamm/Dortmund/Unna/Soest can take care of this matter??? Or is there one possible to do this yourself??? -P.S. can also gladly participate. Sail mode without pressing Eco button
Is it actually possible to have the sailing mode without pressing the Eco button?The permanent start of the car as soon as I stop only briefly bothers me, whereas the sailing mode I find great. What I once had, the Eco button was pressed but in the display the Eco symbol was crossed out and the sailing mode was active.But was only the case once and I could not reconstruct this variant any more. SLK 230K PreFL automatic, low power, convection valve without function
Hello, I would like to ask for help here. My problem: – Our SLK R170 PreFl 77,000 km (02/2000) 230k automatic has little power. – We just bought it. 🙁 ->But is not the first R170 with us. – In the MSG stood the P1235 (circuit valve). What have I done so far? – Umluftklappe removed and soldered the soldering points on the plug. – When I was installed, I saw that 3 cables were cut to the plug, just behind the exit from the wire harness (but was an old one). it CUT, since the cables were started and dirty). – Then I soldered the cables together again and provided them with a lubricating hose. – I removed the convection air flap, cleaned the grinding tracks and soldered the soldering points on the plug. – The error in the MSG is now also, without deletion, gone. – With such approx. 2000 (estimated) tours the compressor now switches on. However, the car still has little power. – Only the convection air flap is not closed. – On the pins are +12V and mass on . – At the control line I measure approx. +0,5V (in the stand gas) Someone can tell me which control voltage gets the flap and where they come from (schematic). SLK 230 K poor straight run
Hello. I drive a model-kept SLK 230K, EZ 8.2000, with 125000KM and have the following problem. On good level roads he has a precise straight out. But with wavy roadway or shock stimulation, even at low speed, the steering wheel runs almost shock-like times to the left or right. The Tüv recently had nothing to complain about at the HU. He says chassis, crossbars, wheel bearings, eim Bospurständen etc. everything io. The chassis also makes no noises like grinding, clacking Nothing. I had the track measured at Boschdienst. Was and is io. I also changed the steering damper. However, no change. I drive the summer like winter tyres at the front as well as at the back with original 16 inch rims, tyres 205/55/R16/91V. The problem occurs in the summer like winter tyres. The chassis is original. So no lowerings or anything else. That’s already my fifth SLK. All others had this problem, even with tyres Not. Heck damage, bulging or swapping parts?
SLK 200 R170 with rear damage. The plastic bumper has completely restored itself due to the processing but the sheet metal behind and the trunk frames as well as the luggage shell are inflected. Would it theoretically be possible if I dented everything with a rubber hammer or something? How would a reperature fail? I don’t find the right part at 7zap etc., otherwise I would pick it up from the butcher and replace it, knows there more? The trunk also does not go to because the lock nac h is bent inside. Thus the roof does not open either. To go it was easy. On the picture below, it had to be the part with the number 50 and the part on the left without a number.

MKL on SLK280 error message OBD03 P175
