Hello together, I bought a SLK 200 R170 Bj. 1998 (136hp) with 135tsd. Km for 4,000€ from a dealer. My landlord is himself a 2-fold car dealer and since I have a very good wire to him and he knows my SLK dealer, he offered me to call this time and ask before buying to the SLK “from dealer to dealer you tell yourself more.” My landlord then told me roughly that the dealer is very trustworthy, it would be in the cooling system a e line was replaced, but this was done (my choice of words). So it was happy and proud to become the owner of a SLK convertible. However, when I collected it, I was surprised that the cooling water lamp was on, that the dealer helped, he said, that this could be at first, dropped 1l in and the lamp was off. 1 week later I drove to my brother to Cologne (Solingen –> Cologne about 30km), just arrived in Cologne again the KW lamp went on before I returned to Solingen, ki I picked up 1,5l water after…lamp out again…in SG she went on again – again 1,5l after tilted (lamp out again)…in the next week I drove little, then now on the WE to Wuppertal and there the lamp went on again, at a tankst. stopped I tried again to tilt water (in a warm condition) but somehow I had problems, because I saw how it appeared 15cm under the filler nozzle and collected on the floor plate, not everything, but around the he half of 1,5 l…..the lamp did not go out, the temperature was no longer at max. 80°….in SG I tilted 1.5 l in cold condition again, the lamp remained on….(current status – will fall again this afternoon). My dealer agreed that he was currently in quarantine, I may come by next Friday, then he would take care of the case… but I would be interested in your opinion before that, it was now about 5 l and after ” “I don’t think it’s done.” Lg Frank

Water circulation pump SLK 230K R170
Hello together, have here again a short question about my SLK. The FZ has installed an electric auxiliary pump which has in the meantime blessed the time (I noticed during the diagnosis, otherwise no effects can be detected). As far as I can see, the pump is exclusively for the residual heat usage with switched off engine to heat the interior with switched on ignition and activated “rest button” at the climate control. umpee also any further sense/tasks? Reason for the question is, I do not use the FZ in winter anyway, so I need the pump, if it is really only used for reheating actually not. Thanks in advance

Control chain?
Hello all, my slk 200 didn’t jump after work, tried not to bridge. Next morning he jumped quite normally. Esp lit up, drove into the free workshop, error read out. There were over 40 error messages, including camshaft control. Mechanic says that it is the control chain. What I don’t think was driving with it all the time without problems, if it is the control chain, I would have had problems with the ride. location

Hello dear SKL friends. I am now owner of a SKL 200, K170, automatic, BJ. 1999, 227000 KM, 136 HP, TÜV new. TÜV report: GM: dust sleeve left and right damaged. Notes: light corrosion transverse beams, rear tyres older than 10 years, front tire ageing cracks, silencer slightly corrosion It stood about 1 1⁄2 to 2 years at the dealer on the yard. The dealer has installed a new air conditioning system, new fenders and a new petrol pump. The roof opening lasts from the beginning of the window opening to the end of the window closing 28 sec.. I paid 220€ for it. There is probably no real workshop history. What do you think I should do, or have it done? 1. OIL EXCHANGE 2nd CUSTOMS EXCHANGE 3rd ACCOUNTS 4th ACCOUNTS 5th Automatic gearbox flush? Or just swap it? Or does it last forever? 6th Dust Mansc 7. What do you think you’re doing? Hello, I’m thinking about buying a SLK 350 instead of my Lotus Elise. Theoretically, the combination with the suction engine sounds interesting. Moin, what do you say? Is a 2006 SLK suitable as a first car? I was just thinking about a MX-5, but this one is far too little equipped. You can get the SLK with less than 100000 km already for about 8000-9000€. But how about the running costs? Does anyone have experience?

SLK 230K automatic Bj97 with electrical problems
SLK R170 230K Automatik AI is sporadic and BAS/ASR is constantly coming, etc. Hello, I probably have a wobble contact or a bad ground connection, therefore very exciting things happen, because the car has been standing for a few years. I have already done the one or the other, which was described here. E.g. BAS/ASR error: brake light switch replaced, K40 completely soldered and contact spray, all possible plug connections tested. Brake light bulbs are not cor Roded. Battery is new. Gear control unit replaced because it was reported as a fault and the footroom was damp. Vent control unit replaced because the fan does what it wants.. AI connector tested because the displays fail and then concerns the lighting and a signal lamp for a defective bulb. The circuit can be operated, although the brake has not kicked and the key is not stuck, but the rope hoists are hooked. Many construction sites and I would be thanks for any help. bar… the previous owner only had to have done crap. Otherwise the car runs great 😉 Did this first set wrong… Maybe someone has a circuit plan to the car?

Mercedes SLK R 170 does not always start

When soldering the K40 I also noticed the following: One of the Ste If you change the fuse, it looks like it’s right in the holder. But if you take off the panel so that you can see the circuit board directly, you can see very well that the fuse presses the socket into the housing.
